Wow ! What wonderful service ! This past weekend, my daughter lost the only key to her car, and she was absolutely devastated. I had no idea a locksmith could fabricate replacement keys, I felt so stupid. But the locksmith, Matt, was an angel ! He answered all our questions with sincerity and was actually quite comforting. Other people may balk at the prices, but you get what you pay for. He was very prompt and worked diligently to get her back on the road. Thank You!!

Called the guy at 6:45 , told me he would be there in about an hour, was understandable due to ball game traffic. Called an hour later was told it would be about 30 more minutes. At 8:25 called the guy back and he told me wasnt sure how long he would be that he had taken another job and would make to me as soon as possible and recommended I call someone else , which I did and got great service. Will also post on social media about my experience. I highly recommended Bufords to anyone with Locksmith issues in Tuscaloosa.

I broke my car key into two pieces. A-1 Alabama Key and Locksmith came to my home within 45 of me calling after normal business hours. The gentleman that helped me was able to make me a new key and be on his was in less than 15 minutes. I am so thankful for their service and professional attitude.

Highly priced for what I got. When they arrived, much later than they told me, they asked how we had tried to get in and then used the tools we tried with, instead of their own. They left a dent in the frame and the door and tried to hammer it back in with a screwdriver.

First off, I will say this: A1 Locksmith did fine making the key for my motorcycle. They do know what they are doing. However, what is disappointing is that I was told $35 dollars on the phone. I put my motorcycle on the trailer and took it there the next day (lost key). The key making process went well but once we got to the register, i was rung up for $58 dollars. I explained to the owner that I was told it would be 35 and drove by 2 other places that charged 50. He asked who I spoke with on the phone and continued to tell me that I wasn't told that. Even with 3 employees there, He told me I wouldn't have spoken with anyone but him. Overall, the service was okay but the prices were bait and switch. No cheaper than other locksmiths. I was lied to about the price. Good service but bad business practices. He did nothing to make it right.

After having keys that didn't work made at three different hardware stores over the past year I decided to give a locksmith a try at it. I walked into A-1 and they used a machine just like what is used at the hardware stores. So I was sitting there expecting that these keys would not work. Since they were not doing anything 'special' to make the keys, I asked why the key they were making was going to work and the others I had made would not. The locksmith told me that because locks and keys are their business, they regularly calibrate their machines (something that hardware stores do not always do). To my delight, all 4 keys I had made worked when I got home. They made my keys in seconds, did for cheaper than the hardware stores, and they actually worked! I will use them for all my future lock and key needs!
