We just had a replacement key for our Scion TC made there this morning. Dealership was going to charge us over $500.00 to program a key. We were out the door at A1 Lock and Key for under $195.00. In and out in under 30 minutes. The staff was incredibly friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone searching for a locksmith/key maker.

Had what I needed and did a good job making the key and helping me with making sure the key worked, but I was charged $10 for a single key. Sorta pricy if you ask me. Id rather support the local guy none the less. The shop is ran very different from when Art & Glenda use to run it. (Back when it was AG Lock & Key) Art & Glenda are dear family friends and they definitely wouldnt have charged $10 for a single key to be cut and wouldve had better professionalism and personality. Not disappointed on the quality and usability of the product, just the prices and the somewhat rude new owner.

I am a contractor. I was in the middle of a big job and needed to open my toolboxes when I broke my only key. Excellent knowledge, skill and customer service with 'no job too big or too small' attitude! The in store selection is always expanding and their ability to get in hard to find items is unsurpassed! I drive 45 minutes each way for all my key/lock needs to save time wasted at all the other places. From re-keying/securing entire homes in Clovis, Fresno, Academy, Madera... Changing batteries in your newer car keys... To finding original key blanks for classic cars (mine was a '61)... this is the only place you will ever need to go!

I really like to support local business, but I wont one like this. Martin must listen to too much talk radio and not enough business advice. Had a problem with our front door knob. Good quality Titan, about 20 years old. Checked online, could replace it with a comparable one for about $125. Thought the old mantra reuse, repair, recycle, you know the drill. Went to buy a part from the local locksmith and got a lecture from Martin. You cant get parts for that, new one will run about $250, plus installation. Sure, you could find one for less, but then youd be putting my guys out of work! Too many regs in California, and people keep voting for stupid things like that gas tax! (plus more facts that sounded like recitations from Rush Family Man Limbaugh) Okay, pal, I just needed a part and besides, how do you know how I voted, and why?! Too long of a story made shorter: Martins price was double what Id already found online/big box; called the manufacturer and they DID have the parts which they sent me for free; and if youre having trouble getting/keeping business it could be that you spout KMJ/Faux News without knowing who you might be talking at! Whew, I feel better...
