My 81 year old mother was having trouble unlocking the door to her condo, so she called Wingerts. The gentleman who came out looked at it and explained that the problem wasnt the lock but had to do with the settling of the building. He also took a look at her patio slider and let her know that the way she was closing it was leaving it unsecured. He didnt charge her for the service visit to tell her these things! I do appreciate his kindness and the time he spent with my mom on his own dime.

Stan is a Baldwin Lock genius. He is efficient and really knows the Baldwin product. He rekeyed 4 locks and repaired a broken Baldwin lock with ease. He had all of the parts and didn't even charge me for the parts. He was punctual and professional. I have used him twice now for my rental and would highly recommend him.

My elderly father (91) had a Baldwin Mortise door lock set installed on his front door at his principle residence but had forgotten how this type of lock works. He had moved out over a year ago and was in the process of selling his home. He thought the lock wasn't working right and needed to be fixed. I contacted Baldwin Hardware Specialist Wingert's Locksmith. Stan and his wife were great! When I explained how the lock was working, they said right away it sounds like your father has a Baldwin Mortise lock. Stan then sent me a video he had made showing how these locks work so I could determine if there was a problem. Looking at the video, I quickly confirmed that lock was working as designed. Stan and his wife were VERY HELPFUL and didn't try to take advantage of our ignorance. If you need a good honest locksmith and especially if you have a Baldwin lock that needs service, I highly recommend Wingert's locksmith.

Awesome experience with Stan taking the time to completely change our front doorknob handles from eon's ago to present day modern. Over three hours of work to complete with no complaint. Upon leaving he noticed another issue with the screen door deadbolt and doorknob and fixed that as well on his own time, really appreciated that.

My parents had used Stan for locks on a commercial building, but what they needed were new door locks at their house. I was visiting (from out of town) & my Dad contacted Stan to set up an appointment. Then Stan & I communicated via text with what was needed. He asked for pictures of the current locks so he knew what the situation. We went with Schlag. Stan installed the new locks & then he sent me pictures of the new locks, as well as one of my parents, which I thought was a nice touch. I saw the locks for myself a few days ago & they look good & work well. Very happy.

We have Baldwin locks from 1988 and needed them serviced. I did a specialty search and found Stan, knowing that Baldwins need an expert and not an ordinary locksmith. He drove to San Gabriel (near Pasadena) and serviced 7 doors and did a fabulous job. He's also a carpenter and had all the tools to shave one door so it would properly close. We were unable to lock several doors from the inside because our house had settled. Stan remedied everything. 'You get what you pay for' really holds true. If you buy these expensive locks, treat them to an expert like Stan

Stan is not only highly competent at what he does, but also personable and good natured. I am an Interior Designer and it is refreshing to be around people like Stan. He came and installed a new handle on our door so easily and smoothly, yet there were so many pieces to it just like a jig saw puzzle! Stan certainly knows what he's doing. I also asked him to screw in these leash holders for my dogs and he was happy to do it. When a professional goes out of their way for you with a smile, you know they're a keeper. As a 'side note', I read the idiot's post that gave him a 'one star',.... all I can say is that when someone has to drive to a job and they cancel within minutes of arriving, one should be charged a cancellation fee if it is less than 24 hours! Stan didn't even do that! Doctors do that, so why shouldn't other's be any different? Don't let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch of great reviews. Hire Stan! He seriously rocks. You won't be disappointed.

We had a very difficult situation where our doorknob was ordered too small by our builder. Turns out, the thickness of our doors required us to get a commercial grade knob. No one wanted to do the homework in finding out what we needed, including our builder. Stan was patient and helped us out by dealing with the manufacturer. This is an HONEST business! My husband and I are truly 100%+ satisfied with the assistance we received from Stan and Sharon Wingert in resolving the issue with our door which has a HOPPE multipoint locking system. We live in Corona and tried to secure several local locksmiths who knew nothing about this particular type of lock. I found Wingert's Locksmith while searching the web for specialists in repair of HOPPE locks. This business was the first result in my search. We explained the situation, sent the requested photos for his review and ordered the lubricants as instructed. The issue was resolved after facetiming with Stan at no charge! We highly recommend his services and truly appreciated the time spent with us. He and his wife were very responsive and in a timely manner! Stan communicated with me via email and text after my first phone call. I needed to have a BALDWIN front door hardware set installed. He had me take photos of the current doors from all angles and include any specific measurements. He gave me advice on what to ask at the hardware store (BEST ONE-- Woodward's Ace Hardware, Santa Ana!) and the process was in motion. Stan offered a firm quote to install the hardware we had selected. As soon as I had the hardware in hand at my house, I called and emailed him to let him know I was ready for install. His wife emailed me and let me know he could come THAT afternoon. (After poor communication and poor customer service with another 'high end' hardware dealer, this was refreshing!) Stan arrived, got the door hardware installed, tweaked it to my picky standards, installed another interior doorknob set and made 4 extra keys ON-SITE in less than 2.5 hours! Total was $210 (install of Baldwin double front entry hardware, interior closet doorknob set AND 4 extra Baldwin keys, which ALL work.)I have been disappointed with some handypeople's inability to complete an estimate and return texts and phone call inquiries. I have been astounded to hear 'professionals' offering estimates of $90+ more hourly labor rates, yet can't return phone calls or reply to texts. Stan did not disappoint. I'll call him without hesitation when I'm ready for my next door hardware project.

Poor Customer Service! My company contacted Stan to redo all the locks at a new building we were moving into. His pricing I thought was extremely fair which we paid a little over $500 for. However once completed a few months later I contacted Stan to come out so he could make me a new key for an area that we needed because I lost the spare and could not remember the key number. We scheduled an appointment and while Stan was on his way we some how found the key tucked away in a desk. I called his wife and let her know that we needed to cancel and no longer needed Stan to come. This is when the poor customer service started, his wife automatically gave me an attitude because Stan was only a few minutes away from being at our location and that we some how ruined his entire day because we canceled. I apologized for the inconvenience for his time but I run a business that requires us to go to sales calls and sometimes people cancel, that is just a cost of doing business. So today I contacted Stan again because I needed to have a copy of a key sent to me, I have the number and everything all Stan needed to do was make one and ship it to me. When I called to let him know what I needed he immediately said that he had to schedule an appointment. I was a little perplexed so I asked him why he needed to. His answer was that because I cancelled on him last time he wanted to charge me for an appointment, I explained that we found the key last minute and that I didn't know what else to tell him. The bottom line is Stan was holding a grudge against my company for cancelling so he refused to help me when all I wanted to do was purchase one extra key which probably would have taken him a minute to make. I will be moving on from this company and using a new lock smith moving forward.

I highly recommend this company. We had a problem with our Baldwin lock so we called Baldwin Hardware Specialist (aka Wingert Locksmith). Not only did he fix the lock, he informed us that since Baldwin locks have a lifetime guarantee, he would contact the company and get a replacement. We only had to pay for installation when the new Baldwin lock came in. Stan Wingert installed our Baldwin Lock speedy and accurately. He is dependable - shows up when he says he is going to - and his prices are reasonable. Couldn't be happier.

I called Stanley, because he is a Baldwin specialist, when our front door hardware broke, locking us in, and out of the house. Stanley came the same day, helped me order new hardware, removed the old hardware, and installed a spare handset and deadbolt that he had on hand, giving us time to order a Baldwin set that would last. I thought we needed to overnight the new hardware, but he had kindly loaned us a set that he had on hand until ours arrived, giving us more shipment time and design options. Stanley did the carpentry needed to install the hardware of our choice. He patched the old holes and bored new ones. The last locksmith put in a Westlock set he had on hand that (poorly) fit our existing bored holesbad idea, because he had to modify the hardware to make it fit. It never worked right, and ended up an expensive temporary fix.We also had a painter tell us that we would always see where the old hardware was. Stanley finished the door face inside and out so that it is seamless for the painters. This worked well for us, because we were getting the door repainted anyway.Because Baldwin hardware can be repaired, if something goes wrong, we should never have the carpentry and repainting issue again. We also had Stanley install matching interior garage door hardware, which he helped me select. This saved us money with one shipment, and one house call charge for both doors. Overall, we are very satisfied with the hardware and with his work.
