I went to make an urgently needed key copy, thinking this would be the convenient option. The screen let me know that it would cost $7.99 and take 3-5 business days to get the copy sent to me by mail. I went to Ace hardware, where they managed to make one in 30 seconds for $2.50. Dont waste your time or money here.

Several choices of key blanks, made while you wait. No running around trying to find staff to make a key for me, and 1 free key after purchasing 4 keys. Easy to use, reasonable price, it took about 8 minutes for 5 keys to be made. Very happy with the result.

I called this company because my son lost his key. I said he would be in Davis at 4 and needed to drive to LA at that time, so he needed a new key. They were very kind and cooperative, saying they would be there and they needed a contract from me. I filled out the contract and emailed it back. They then called and said they needed a photo of my credit card, front and back, and drivers license, which I sent them. They did not come at 4 oclock. I called them and they said I needed to fill out another form which they sent and I filled out. Every step of the way, they needed more information. So crazy because you can purchase anything with a credit card and drivers License, which I had given them hours ago. They did not come to service my son until 7 pm. My son did not get on his way until 8. When I called the company afterward to complain about bad customer service, I was told they had other people to deal with and could not take the time to talk to me. The eventual transaction cost 300 dollars and my son is now driving overnight. PLEASE do not allow this company to be the one you choose. I could have purchased a new car with the time it took them to make a key, and they had no apology for the wait. They simply said they would not be able to talk to me because so many clients were lined up. Such a horrible experience.

THE WORST SERVICE EVER! I WAS SCAMMED $30! My bike lock had broke and I had called this service, they never told me how much pricing would be, all they said was 'someone will be right there'. Feeling assured, I assumed it would be a quick fix. FORTY minutes later a man, smelling of cigarettes and dressed in all black, driving a beat up car rolls in and waves at me. He gets out of the car, NOT EVEN ASKING PROOF THAT IT WAS MY BIKE, saying it would be $150! That's ridiculous. He knew I didn't buy into it, so he offered $120, I declined, then he offered $80. I was upset of how unprofessional he was, that I declined. He said there was a thirty dollar fee just for coming out?? NEVER SAID THAT ONE THE PHONE, WAS NOWHERE ON THE DAVIS KEYME WEBSITE. I asked for certification, and he HAD NO PROOF. Wasn't wearing anything resembling he worked as a locksmith! He said he would not leave me alone until I had the $30. Upset and scared, I gave him $30, he took it and sped off. NO RECEIPT. I tried calling the phone number before, telling my situation, and they hung up on me. I'm thinking that if anyone wanted someone else's bike for $150, this service does it illegally. I give this zero stars if I could.

Just go to Ace. Took 3 days for the company to email me saying the car key actually could not be made even though thier system accepted it and the refund is still not in my account after a week and a half!! Horrible company with horrible care for customers.

Several minutes, you can get a new key for several minutes. If you want some awesome duplicate key, there are many choices.

I wish that I had read these reviews. Four calls later, I dont know their rate for showing up, one operator said there is no charge, but then they transferred me to 24-hour locksmith who said that there is a $29 charge. Seems like a racket.
