CAVEAT: This review is based on three visits of mine, plus a friend used to live nearby and he used them for his key needs for many years.I walked in with a set of keys which were nearly 15 years old (at least...that's how long I have had them.) The sales girl eyeballed them in an instant and said, 'do you have a newer version of this key?' I said no. She explained that it was really worn, and the duplicate might not work. I liked how up front she was about it.I said I'd assume the risk, and she was happy to oblige and cut the keys. I am very pleased to report they work just great.Love the honest, direct, friendly customer service! The world needs more of it.

I have previously had keys made at a big orange home improvement store, and I really never had an issue. I usually had to wait for someone who knew how to 'work the machine' but it's not a big deal. I put 'work the machine' in quotes because they would literally select the cassette for the key, insert both keys, and push a button. The machine would do the rest. But today, I had a key that the big orange guys couldn't copy (a Subaru of all things) and I found A.S.A.P. on Google. From the first phone call I made to ask if the key could be copied, I knew I would have a good experience. The gentleman on the phone was kind and gracious. When I arrived, I was greeted by the same gentleman and he proceeded to copy my keys in seconds, all the while making polite, friendly conversation. He was quick, but also thorough, making sure to properly de-burr the keys after cutting them. Both keys worked great the first time I tried them. All in all a very pleasant, professional experience. Highly recommended.

Read good reviews so stopped by for key duplication.Grumpy young dude, apparently the son of the father and son ownership, made the key then charged $5 and change.I told him I expected it to be a buck or two and he said that was no longer the going rate for keys.I paid. Stopped at a local hardware store and showed the key and was told they charge $1.25 to make it.Called dad about this. Best who could do was to say that next time they will tell the price in advance.Foggedabiutit!
