Been customers of Frank's since 2013. Just re-key and copies until our mortised lock latch stopped working. Frank's said that they 'didn't carry our brand and couldn't get parts.' So I called the manufacturer, who laughed and told me to find another locksmith. Good advise. Turns out there was a small internal spring that was broken. It took the new guy 15 minutes to repair. We always try to use small local businesses even when it costs a bit more. Makes me sad when it's not appreciated. Maybe They have more work than he can handle? Bottom line... if Frank's cared about us as customers, we still would be.

On the plus side, this place had a copy of my old, hard-to-find key that I couldn't get copied anywhere else. On the negative side, they acted as if every time I called I was a major inconvenience to them. When I called the owner was often out on jobs, which is completely understandable, however when I asked when I could come in to get a copy made, and stated I was not in a rush, he told me 'I have no definite hours' in a very annoyed tone. He did offer to call me back if he was in the office later twice but both times I never heard from him. After finally tracking him down by calling him back, he reluctantly agreed to meet at the office, to his credit, after normal store hours but told me to 'leave right away because you'll hit traffic and I don't want to wait for you'. When I mentioned he was hard to get a hold of he looked annoyed and said they were closed. Look, I get it, I'm sure making copies of keys is not the main source of income for them. I just expect someone who can communicate what times do work for them and not be snide to their customers.

I called them to change my mailbox lock as I wasn't being able to open properly. They arrived on the day and time scheduled, and instead of changing my lock as requested, the locksmith just sprayed some oil and fix my problem at no charge. I will always call them!
