This is the only place to go have keys made. They know what they are doing, and they have a huge variety of blanks. Staff is knowledgeable, and they have brilliant work-arounds! Oh, and the have cool key rings, too! There are a number of services they offer that I don't use, but they have come out to the house to service a couple of safes and they repaired the dial on one of those safes. Remember... Percussive maintenance is not good maintenance. Call the experts!

Great service from a local business. Our front door's deadbolt started to just spin without catching, and the door remained locked. I called Foster Brothers, and was not disappointed with their customer service on the phone and I setting up an an appointment. The dispatcher was clearly knowledgeable.When the technician arrived, he was friendly and on time. He confirmed the problem and fixed it promptly, even adjusting a fee other bits on the door to improve closing. What more could you ask?

Came back today for the second time not sure if the key will work now First time stop by last Friday and got a key made but it didnt work The guy told me if it doesnt work I need to bring in the whole door or they can come out and take the door down and bring it in (cost $80)So far $10.90 for the key that dont work (it s guarantee to work)To be continued...

Wanted spare keys made for my 2018 Sonata. Day1: Spoke to the person at the front desk and after making some phone call he said that they can make a key and I need to place an order. So did I. Got a call back after a week as against promised 3-4 days that my key has arrived and I can bring in my car next day between 8-11 am for programming.Day2: Went there right at 7.55 am and after waiting for 10-15 mins they opened the door but were clueless about my key. Finally after another 10 mins I got to know that the technician generally comes in by 9 or 9.30 and I can come in anytime till 5 pm. They didn't have any idea why I was asked to come between 8-11 am in the first place. So I went back sometimes in the afternoon and technician and my keys were there. Now, after checking with my car he says that they don't have required euipment to program my keys and asked me to visit some Hyundai dealership. I am not sure why couldn't they tell me that the first time I was there. That could have saved both of our time and effort. Guess it might be a good place for getting simple keys made. Definitely not recommended for car keys.

Ive been working at Foster Brothers for about 3 years and have seen this business go from making keys and rekeying locks to now making about 90% of the vehicle transponder keys and rekeying just about any kind of lock. Foster Brothers is always striving to change with the times and get what ever machine they need to be able to help the community with their key and lock problems. I know that sometimes people say something about the price of a key or the price of a service call from time to time but seeing everything from behind the scenes I now know that Foster Brothers is very fair with the prices they charge for the service they provide.. in this industry none of the tools are cheep and the Bay Area is becoming almost impossible for a lockshop to servive... but if I know a place thats balancing profit and fairness.. its Foster Brothers. No business is perfect but I can honestly say Foster Brothers is a great business for the imployee and the costumer.

I work for a Physical Security company in the Bay Area. I had no clue who Foster Brothers was and who or what they serviced. I was referred to them by a client who felt I needed a better locking hardware vendor. Since then I have partnered up with Foster brothers for over 7 years on my card access needs, specifically electrified hardware. I have worked with Jeff Sanchez as my main contact and he has always been available by phone day and evening. He will answer questions and provide suggestions as well as introduce new products. He and I have worked on a site for 7 years that will request card access on a weekly basis. This particular site has historical buildings and there are always new challenges. To this date he has provided solutions on doors most other vendors will not take on. I know. I asked other vendors to help me on this site and they have respectively declined due to the nature of the site and existing hardware. They do not have enough knowledge or resources to provide solutions. Dont get me wrong, Foster Brothers is not perfect. We have had our struggles and differences, but what partners do you know agree on everything. In any case, Foster Brothers are my go to locking hardware vendor and I will not use another. If they are booked and I have to wait an additional week to get the work complete at a site then I let the client know that we are waiting. The client will ask me to get another vendor. I tell them If you want it done right the first time then please be patient, trust me and well get it done right. They will usually trust me and wait. For those who pursue another vendor on their own will most likely call me to help them get it done right. In some cases the vendor they contacted will not return calls or cannot return for days to rectify a problem install. Clients are happy to know they are getting a good product and if for some reason it requires immediate attention Foster Brothers is there to assist. The staff is very friendly and easy to contact and speak with if Jeff is not available. I have had personal conversations with some of the install technicians to the point where it almost like a family environment. We talk about vacations to Mexico, playing soccer after work, or just family. The one thing that is great is that I can speak openly and honestly with Jeff about what he and his team can improve on. Knowing that he listens will help us to succeed together on future projects. Great Job Foster Brother!!
