Had my 15 year old Bob Cat mower rebuilt and what a great job was done. Thanks to Gary Jr and Michael Bennett . fantastic customer service. It was worth the ride from Jacksonville to High Springs to get the professional service I can trust. Mrs Marilyn and Gary senior run a friendly home town business they can be proud of.

I stopped in a few weeks back to get some odds and ends. The woman working the counter so so friendly and welcoming I didnt mind spending a little extra.Its this type of service that keeps a place like this in business forever. Next time I need something I wont have any doubt where Im going.

Cheries Sundries
Do NOT take anything you need to have repaired here. They were told NOT to go above $300 on repairs. The mower was gone for months with absolutely NO contact. When we finally contacted them we were told it was 'almost repaired.' When it was returned the bill was $800 -but we don't know for what as we never got an itemized statement. First time we started the mower it smoked up the yard/garage so much we were afraid it was going to start everything on fire. They picked the mower back up and returned it again several weeks later. It went in because the battery was not being charged (voltmeter showed it wasn't charging)--the mower ran perfectly fine and had just had new blades put on it. We never got an itemized statement of what was done to it-it still does not charge the battery. They broke items on the mower, the battery was not installed properly, the lights were not hooked up and the hood to the mower was damaged. They claimed they put 'new' blades on it. Do not go here for any reason.

Have been waiting for a simple O ring kit for over 2 weeks now. After popping in 3 times I decided to leave my name and number and still no call. Was told they were on order. Showed up on the following Monday. With no order placed. Was sent to Jacks up the road who were unable to get me the O ring I was looking for even thought the parts person here called to make sure. Ive wasted some much time and gas for a $5 part I just ordered online. Would of loved to give the locals my business but seems they dont want it.

I come here every couple of weeks for fishing tackle as well as odds and ends. Its a family owned store in a small town, there is a Lowes 8 Miles down the road for people who need very specific things or major hardware. But I myself love stopping in here, everybody is more than friendly to me and I will continue to come back.

Purchased 2.5 gallons of chlorine $4.99Paid 'jug deposit' of $7.99.2 weeks later tried to return container for 'deposit', was told by the owner Mr. Bennett ' 'they do not refund the deposit, that I purchased the container' .Although the receipt clearly reads Jug deposit.Mr, Bennett was very rude about this & actually got noticeably PO'd about it.Needless to say, I left that container and 4 others & proceeded on my way.I usually buy my deer corn & small hardware items from Bennett's, but after today I will not be back, and will make sure to relay my experience today to all friends, family, neighbors, & coworkers.

Bennetts is a great local store and the family is very nice and will go out of the way for you. parts guy however is a smug moron with wise comments and is the most unhelpful individual i have ever encountered. the only reason i can see them keeping him around is he must be related. if they replaced him they would do much more business as he has no likable characteristics and is NOT a people person

Waste of time. Purchased a lawn mower from Lowes and this is the place that the warranty company chose to do work with. Over two weeks trying to get them to come out and pick up the mower. Called a few times and said they'd be out and never showed. Waited all day and wasted the day for them once. Glad we did not actually have to rely on them to fix it, I could imagine it'd be 3 months to actually fix it.

Good customers service in the store, but the repairs department has a lot to be desired. I took a brand new Poulan chainsaw in for an idle adjustment for $16 and some change got a bill for $45. they said they needed to replace things that were worn that was not covered under the warranty it was 3 weeks old no problem with it, but the idle. We finally called Poulan and they agreed to cover the extra expense they were charging. We were never notified by True Value of any added charges other than what we agreed to until we were ready to pick it up.

We usually try to do business locally, but we have had our fill of Bennett's of High Springs. We take our lawn mowers to them and we have to call and beg for them to give us an answer on what is wrong, how long it will take etc. Usually we get answers like'the mechanic is not in until Tuesday, he will call you back(never does) , bla bla bla. THEN when we get it back, second time in the past couple weeks he charges us with spark plugs and battery- get home THE SAME issue that we took it in for is happening again. I guess when they don't know what is wrong they charge 200.00 and send it out. They are unorganized, unskilled and very smart mouthed.By the way - a 2.00 filter was the issue with my mower!
