Was it expensive? Yes. It was cheaper than a new window. Busting it was plan b.Did he show up when pop a lock wouldn't? Yes. Did he drive all the way out to Huguenot park, pay admission, and find us in the middle of thousands?YES.we were locked out of our truck on the beach one of the first weekends of reopening. It was packed. The line to get in was LONG. I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to come to our rescue in that situation. I would have paid him more, we were desperate. Prime pulled through. Full disclosure I'm a competitor but be careful with this company. They have one location but use Google tricks to make it seem they have shops all over town. There isn't another company even close to the amount of horror stories we hear about them. Make sure you ask for the total price on the phone as they like to add on charges once they get to you. They also have very little training except with a drill which is their go to tool. Always get multiple companies to give you quotes.

This service was amazing! They came and picked me up from work since I did not have a car, got into the car, and made a key for me within minutes! If it wasnt for their service, my car would have been towed because I had no access to it and the dealership was going to charge me an arm and a leg! I highly recommend this service for anyone who needs a locksmith. They went above and beyond in such a quick time! And the prices are very reasonable. Thank you

So literally last night I call them to unlock my 2003 Mustang I locked my keys in. He said I'd get a call in an hour. I wait over 2 hours with no call before I realize he isnt coming. Also the dude I talked to on the phone uses his bad accent to make it sound like he's saying a different price. He said $49 for the service call and $75 to open the door and said it would come out to $150? I kept question how that made sense like wouldn't it be $125. Definately a dirty business that doesn't care about the satisfaction and well being of their stranded customers. I would rate less if I could. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE.

Dont use this company for any lockout services. They rip people off and they lie to you on the phone about their prices. And then they try to up the price once they get to you for a very simple service that only takes no less than 5 minutes to do. Furthermore, they take forever to get to you. They will quote you an estimate time of arrival and then arrive 45 minutes to an hour later, oh and it doesnt matter the time of day it is either. They will still make up some lame excuse as to why they are late. Theres no way that a simple job that shouldve been no more than $100 and took less than 5 minutes for the tech to complete goes from $100 to $190. All the tech did was use an inflatable air pry bar & leveling tool to pop open an office building door on the inside of an office building. BTW, they sell those tools at Home Depot for $15. Anyway, this company is garbage. Dont waste your time or money.

Mike was professional, polite and an expert. He was patient with me and worked with me until I was satisfied with work order. He came to my job and spent about an hour changing all the locks on my vehicle and reprogrammed my fobs. Made an appointment and he came. A tad pricey but for the piece of mind I have now. I would pay it again.

They are a scam plain and simple they told me over the phone it would be a total of 44 dollars to unlock my car. Fine thats great but the person they sent tried to charge me an additional 130 over the 44 dollars which was bs. Then tried to argue with my friend and I because at that point give me a damn hammer its cheaper to break the window. Not to mention I was told 10 to 20 min to get to my location and I waited 2 hours in the hot sun. Im going to file a complain with the bbb and I suggest no one use this awful scam service

I would give this company NO STARSI had an electronic lock that the battery died on, so the door was unable to be opened. I called this company at 10am on a Saturday morning and was told that a tech would call me in 25 minutes. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes, I called back and was told that a tech would be right there. The reason that I called Prime Lock to begin with, was because it showed that it was 3.8 miles from the house where I needed service. A tech arrived and tried to pick the lock, unsuccessfully, . so he told me that he had to drill it out. He took an electric drill and put it in the key hole of the lock and drilled for a very short time... no more than 5 minutes. He then said that the 120.00 dollar old lock was no longer any good. I had assumed that he would just put a new locking mechanism into the hole that he drilled out. My fault for not asking more specifically what he was doing. When he told me that it was no longer usable, I was a bit disappointed at the prospect of destroying a 120 dollar lock... but I told myself that it was my fault for not asking up front what the plan was. So I asked him what the cost to install a new lock would be,?...and he said 50 dollars. I said ok, I will go run to Lowes and buy one. He was fine with that. When I returned with the lock and he started to install it,,, he told me that it was ALSO 150 DOLLARS for the 5 minute drilling session!!! . AND another 50 to put on the new lock ( that I had purchased). I was flabbergasted! ...He insisted that he had told me that it was 150 dollars to drill out the lock... and THEN 50 dollars to install the new one. He NEVER told me that he was also charging 150 dollars to remove the old lock. If he had... I never would have had him drill it!! And ruin the lock when all it needed was a battery! It would have been cheaper to break a window!!!Steer clear of this company!!!! A complete RIP OFF!! I plan to dispute the charge with my credit card company, so at least they will be inconvenienced a bit for taking advantage of people.

Needed an emergency locksmith and this place was the only one open. The guy on the phone quoted me as $15 service fee and $29.99 and up for whatever procedure was done. This kid came out and proceeds to tell me its an additional $50 for after hours calls. I argued that the man on the phone didn't I form me of this fee and felt like I shouldn't of had to pay it. The kid tells me 'you want in your house, this is what you pay or I leave'. What rude and unprofessional behavior. Do not use this service. They lie about their fees and do minimal work. 2 balloons and a crow bar got my door unlocked.

Last nigth I Lost car keys to my personal vehicle while making stops as I'm a delivery driven and had no way of getting home after an exhausting night of work. Looked up ways to quickly get car keys made and after some reading decided to try prime locksmith and I am so glad I did. Mike was quick on arrival and fast on getting me a replacement key (well two to be exact just in case) he was also very friendly, which put my tired and frustrated mind at ease. The people here are absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. They came out in October and I paid $275 to purchase a key, cut it and program it to my car. One month later the shell busted, they told me for months that they would send someone out to replace my key. They acknowledged that they would fix it and get someone out to me. Seeing them locally around the area I stopped the exact same man who did my key and asked him why he hasnt fixed my key yet and he claimed he hasnt had my key in stock and it wasnt on his truck. Ive tried calling and they hang up on me numerous of times. Now lets be honest $275 is OVERKILL from the start. But because I was stranded at the park he knew Id pay. Dedges will cut a key and program it to my car for $166 after Ive been treated this way I have reported this locksmith to the Better Business Bureau and will see how much longer they stay in business. This is just wrong!!! And I advise anyone not to do business with them. If you need a good locksmith Dedges on the west side is great and affordable prices and they treat their customers with respect.

Only reason these guys even got a star was so I could write this review....HORRIBLE! Locked my keys in my truck at the end of a long work day and called the first person on the list. They told me someone would be out in 20 minutes, and id get a call right away from the service tech...almost 40 minutes later, no call, no show. So I called back twice, both times the call was answered and quickly hung up. Screw these guys, if you find yourself stranded like I did, call someone else.

My gf called to request a quote and the gentleman who answered the phone was really nice. He said to get a quote, someone would need to come check it out. If we liked the price, he could do it then or if we didn't like the price, there's no charge. It was a free estimate. The locksmith arrived within 25 minutes. The issue we had, which encouraged me to write this review, was the customer service from the locksmith. We had an entry lock that had to be rekeyed. He quoted us $80. She told the locksmith, it was okay, I'll continue to shop around. He then responded, 'Then why did you call us? You have to pay for us to come out here.' He was rude, unprofessional, and not what we had expected from what was explained to us when she first called.

Its was storming over here and was locked out of my home, Called a few places and no one wanted to come due to the storm. Lucky for me I called prime locksmith and they were willing to come save me under this type of weather. In less then a hour and with severe conditions they came and got me into my home and they didnt break my pocket either. I would use them any time in the future knowing how loyal they really are.

SCAM ALERT!!! Very disappointed. I would give zero stars if I could. I was quoted 55 dollars to get into my car and after being asked if I had insurance, I was charged 150. These guys are scammers. Total crooks. I called and told them I locked myself out and the girl quoted me for the exact type door and lock I had. When the guy showed up (about 30 minutes after they said they'd be there) he quoted me $55 more than the original price and said the price she gave me was for a storm door. That was a lie seeing as how we went into detail what type of door and lock I have on my house and the equipment needed for it. They know they can charge whatever they want when you have a young mom and her three year old locked out of their house in the dark. I will never, ever use them again. I will definitely call a more reputable company next time. Also, when I called the girl to tell her what he charged me and what she told me didn't match, she became very irate and told me there was absolutely no way they would do anything about it. I cannot believe how unprofessional she and the entire company was.

I called on Saturday for ignition work on my Cadillac and the first guy they sent out clearly had no idea what he was doing! Other than damaging my vehicle!... Tears all in my brand new window tint dents in my window pillar and the top of my door bent out now it doesn't even line up right smh! Then he leaves and doesn't come back... The 2nd guy was very professional and you could tell he knew exactly what he was doing but the damages we're all ready done

They really draw you in with the $19 service call advertisement and 'prices starting at $25' on the website but BEWARE. $125 for a simple household door to be unlocked? Absurd. And when I questioned the quote, he laughed in my face and said no one would ever perform a service for the prices listed. I definitely feel like I was taken advantage of and will be sure to share my dissatisfaction with Prime Locksmith amongst my network.

Call someone else. Told me they will be there in 20 minutes and it will be $50, took them over an hour to arrive, and told us it would be $80 with no valid reason why the price was raised. If you are trapped out of your car, and wait an hour thinking it is going to be 20 minutes, what choice do you have? Took 3 minutes to complete the job, so why raise the price? Unprofessional tech in an unmarked vehicle, and a Wal-mart receipt book. Call a legit company.
