I needed to have a second key cut and programmed for my Ford Expedition. I only had one and so it is a bigger process than if I still had two because they have to go in and program from the actual car computer. The FORD dealership quoted me for the actual key, then to cut it and lastly program it, would be $400+ and said it would take hours! Looking for another alternative, My husband ordered the keys of Amazon and I brought them to here (per a friends recommendation). They had them cut and programmed and I was out of there in UNDER 15 mins, I left with a perfectly working key! The price was $85 for every thing!!! The guys who work their were so kind and knowledgeable. They had a nice area with chairs to wait inside. I love the location, no matter where you are in the area, it is easy to get to! They are located on the edge of downtown canton. (You probably have drove by it before, they have been their forever!) You can get off the downtown canton exit 19 and be there in two minutes! If I am every in the need of a locksmith or have any key issues again, I am definitely calling these guys!

Great customer service! My husband went in to have some specialty keys made for our mailbox and they didnt have the correct key. The gentleman was very knowledgeable and referred us to the company where we could order the key. After we read after we received the keys they were able to cut them for us. This is a great company was very knowledgeable staff.

My wife scheduled an appointment to have our locks changed. The time for the appointment came and went with no call from them. We called and were told they were still coming but it would be another 1 1/2 hour. We continued to wait and called back when no one showed up an hour after the new time. We called back and were told they weren't coming. The lack of communication and excuses is unacceptable especially for a scheduled appointment.

Local Veteran and I 100% recommend 23 1/2 HR Locksmith Co., Thank you Tony, I truly appreciate what you did for my family. Had an emergency situation, called around for a local locksmith that would come and assist asap, I couldn't get any of them to actually come out to help even when I let them know I had a 4 year old in the vehicle with me in 30 degree weather, it wasn't until I called 23 1/2 HR Locksmith that I got a company that cared. Tony came out within 30 minutes from Canton to Jasper and had our key cut, programmed, and vehicle started within 10 minutes. Thank you again.

These guys are great! super friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable about their profession and even work long/odd hours. They cut a key for me on xmas eve and didnt even charge me extra for it. If you need any locksmith work done, check with these guys first, they are the best price for a 50 mile radius and you couldn't pick a better group of guys.

Wow, these guys are great! I was in a jam and needed a part for a deadbolt on a really thick custom door. It was a part that was impossible to find. Just when I was about to give up I reached out to 23 1/2 hour and they had just the part I needed. Thank you again for all of the help guys!

First thing to remember when dealing with a Locksmith Company is that probably 80% of their business is Emergency related items, so when calling them you may get someone who is hasty or flustered; which can be received as rude not making an excuse for bad customer service just saying everyone should try to understand that these guys deal with everyone elses emergencies 23 hours-a-day. The keys to success when dealing with these guys is to remember to ask the following questions:- How long will the job take (then you (the customer) can follow-up in the allotted time frame given by them (the locksmith))- What service will they be providing to you, and if something breaks or is not to the quality of work needed who is liable for said damage or lack of quality- How much will said service cost, and as the customer ask for a detailed breakdown for their services provided so if you do not agree with something you can have the conversation before they come to you or perform the work- If you are stranded and called them to come unlock your house or car understand that there will be a trip charge associated with this even if you some how get into your car or house before they arrive. Because while they were headed to you they were losing money by not going to other customers. You as the customer should ask what this trip will cost you prior to having them head your way.You as the customer should ask these questions and if you do not get responses you like or agree with then go somewhere else, or get them to agree to reasonable responses to these questions, so before any work or services are provided everyone is on the same page. Again these guys are in emergency service mode all day and may need some help from you to establish a guideline for the services you require. In my experience with this locksmith I failed to ask these questions and establish clear expectations for them and myself, so I had a not so great initial reaction to their business practices. After chatting with the owner and getting quality service for the re-keying of my cylinder lock to my classic car I had to take a step back and re-evaluate the situation; Thus coming to the aforementioned conclusion on what I deem as the correct way to conduct business with this shop. Also if the manner in which you are spoken to does not sit well with you then speak back to them in a similar manner; again this is a business transaction for their services and your money. If you feel you were cheated or did not receive quality work then you should discuss that with the business owner and come to an agreement on how to move forward. I personally will continue to take my business to this shop because they are convenient, provided quality work for a reasonable price, and a local small business.

On a Saturday morning, the Choir Director 's key got stuck in the ignition of her truck. Copies made at Home Depot. I took the truck here with the key still stuck. Store closed (weekend technician out on a service call) but fortunately for me, the owner was picking up mail and asked if he could help. With his magic touch, he got the key out of the ignition. Opened the shop, and did more magic on the the key. Key works great now.When l offered to pay him, he refused. What a gentleman! I'll take all my key and lock business there now.

I thought 23 1/2 hr locksmith meant they would be able to help me when I drove up to their Canton location. Both times I drove in, no one was home and when I called the phone number, they said that they were away and wouldn't be able to get to me until the next day. I guess I always came during that 1/2 hr they aren't available...

Always friendly, professional, and quick. We need locks keyed and key copies made every few months for our rental homes. Used to get copies made at Lowes while shopping, but frequently had to return because the cutting wasnt precise. Never had that issue with 23 1/2 Hr Locksmith.

I have never been spoken to in this manor my whole life, and I am a customer?! They treated me very disrespectfully, and the customer service guy was one comment away from me filing a sexual harassment complaint. I needed my car door unlocked, and the man explained that he would have someone call me before arriving. They did not call, and my husband arrived with the key about the same time as he did. They still made me pay an $85 service fee which is bull since it didn't even cost them that in gas to get to me, and then spoke to me like I was a dog. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere.

These guys were able to get my truck out of anti theft mode essentially by making me a new key and programming it to my truck and now it starts up again. Great service and they were very helpful answering my questions as well. I would recommend them for sure.

After checking with dealer to purchase and cut an emergency door key for a 2017 chevy, cost would be 54$. Thought I would stop in and give these guys a shot. 3 guys in the store, went in and asked if they could cut an emergency door key for 2017 Chevy using V.I.N. only to get the codes. First guy sitting behind desk said 'no'. Second guy behind counter asked what year it was and what type of key. Before I could answer, 3rd guy stood up, told me they could, but asked if I had the car there. Told him no, but I had registration, insurance and drivers license. He told me I needed to have the car there in case he needed to make small adjustments. Then told me he had to cut one of his keys first because he didn't want to mess my key up. I asked him how much? He said 175$. I told him whoa, I'd just head up to the dealer who said they would order me one precut for 54$. He was astonished at the dealer price an said that's not usually the case, they are always cheaper than the dealer. I thanked them and as I was walking out the door I heard the guy sitting at the desk tell the guy who was trying to tell me all the work he would have to do and charge me 175$, ' good answer'. I went up to the chevy dealer and told him what I needed, he got a copy of my registration, insurance and drivers license and he went in the back with my key blank and cut it for no charge. Took it back to the car, worked perfect. Here you have a locksmith telling you they may have to do some small changes and fixes to a key that is cut on a computerized digitally coded precision CNC machine. Hey,it's a private business, charge and treat your customers as you like, but I'm just giving possible customers a heads up about these guys before you waste your time and money here.

Will never call this company again. In the past they did good work both at my home and office building. August 2017 they came to look at deadbolt on basement atrium door. I was told they would have to order the parts, paid them trip charge of $78 and away he went. Finally on 12/19/17 I called to ask what happened...was told they would try to look up the order. Again, nothing. 1/3/18 just got off the phone with a real jerk who said my door was very hard to work on. OK, so why take my money and make me think you can fix it? Looking for new locksmith...

Well you know... I for one was happy to do business with them. Dave was the guy that helped me and he really went far and beyond the call of duty. After he finished with my car, there was a mail lady in a green jeep that needed some assistance and he went ahead and serviced her without a hesitation! Very efficient and friendly, great guy and worker! Just shows the class of person. Would recommend Dave and this company to anyone!

I was new to Canton a year ago and both gentlemen that make duplicete keys for me were very friendly and welcoming. BUT one of the keys didn't fit and was cut incorrectly. They charged me $4.00 per key too.
