Was looking for a place to cut and program two new car keys I bought. In a few minutes both keys were cut and programmed for the car. I spent $70. (If I went through the dealer, it would've cost me $240). Would recommend this place.

I probably have the original Corbin lock on my front door (early 1900's). Elgin Key & Lock was able to come out and re-key the door for me and provided me with their last two key blanks for that particular lock. Very happy with the service and price.

Excellent customer service! We lost both sets of keys for my truck. A local dealer told me I would have to have my vehicle 'towed' in to their facility to provide me a code ($50), cut the keys, and program the keys to work in the vehicle with a computer system ($50). Elgin Key & Lock was able to cut the keys and provide instructions on how I could program it myself to save on towing & programming charges (It was literally: Turn key on wait 10 minutes. Turn off. Repeat 3 times!) Save me a couple hundred bucks!

Reasonably cheap price for two copies of car keys. Length of time waiting for my car to be completed was exceptionally long. Several other customers were helped well after my car was dropped off and left. I waited a few hours before I was able to leave.

If you are looking to replace your car key/fob I would highly recommend this place. They use OEM parts and were over $100 cheaper than the dealer and $20 cheaper than a shop that uses aftermarket parts. You can't beat it.

Came in very happy with a great attitude today to get info on locksmith service. This was my first time at this business, instead of inquiring by phone, I decided to stop by since close by- I was at the post office. I went in and it was only me and another customer. After the customer ahead of me left I walked to the counter and Greg, the attendant, walk to the counter and went back to doing about his business like I wasnt even there. I waited a little longer, and still no response, no greeting, no Ill be with you in a sec plain old nothing. I was very disappointed, and of course shocked. I finally gave up and walked out of the store. Its sad to see that this Elgin business does not care about its people.

Friendly happy staff. With the reasonable charge to program and cut the key I provided, I payed a little less than a third of what multiple Infiniti and Nissan dealers would charge. While I was present the amount of walk in traffic and the speed and courtesy with which they processed it was impressive.

I have a few skeleton locks that the keys were last to many years ago. I love the look of the old locks so wanted to find someone to make a new key for me. The gentleman at the front was very knowledgable and offered a few varieties that would most likely work without having to tear apart the lock or even cut new keys. They even offered to either refund or exchange the sets that didn't work for me. The level of service and knowledge here has made me a customer for life. A small smile goes a long way.

The company I work for uses EK&LCo for all our key duplicating and emergency locksmith needs. I have personally worked with them for the past 5 years (hundreds of keys copied), and have never had a problem. Occasionally a duplicated key will not work properly, however, they have always remedied the situation quickly at no added cost. I highly recommend them.

Awesome! I thought matching up a new lock for my mailbox was going to be a pain. Even gave myself a 30 minute window out of my schedule for this event. This was absolutely none of that. The person I dealt with was very knowledgeable and was able to assist me and get a new lock in just minutes. He was also very nice about answering a few questions I had about a safe. Overall 10/10 would go out of my way a little for the knowledge and efficient, great service they provided.
