Quick And easy, very impressive technology!

1st experience using an automatic key cutting kiosque. I do not know if the calibration of the machine was off or if the technology is still not at the level for consistent acceptable reproduction/duplication of keys, I cannot give an definite opinion due to limited experience and data with this technology. My comments here are based only on this first time, single experience. All 4 of the keys made were not within acceptable specs to the original. I am tedious with my ways and how I do things. I followed directions as indicated by the kiosque and making certain that the originals were fully inserted and seated correctly and level in the slot. The keys produced, 2 of which will not function in the lock no matter what is done. The other 2 will only function randomly. They will open the lock only partially withdrawing the key from the key slot and wiggling it while cantilevering & putting downward pressure on the key. The keys showed considerable differences from the original when compared by stacking the keys on each other. it is clear that the machining is removing to much material from the blank near the deepest valleys of the profile as well as it omitting the small details along the top of the profile/ridges whom are small in size but prominent features on the original I think I may be able to live with the two keys that can be made to open the lock with a little coercing, but I had to request and was granted a refund for the 2 keys that do not function at all. I am not certain I will use the automatic key cutting kiosques again until I am more convinced that the technology is good and reliable enough for accurate consistent reproductions.
