Please hire someone else to man the counter, their dismissive attitude is off putting to customers and will cost you more future business. The lack of professionalism and customer service makes me wonder why they are still open. To be clear I am talking about the older gentleman with glasses.

Horrible. We went in and they were very helpful with picking out new locks to be installed in our house and made an appointment for them to do so. Appointment time rolls around and no one shows up. We called and they have no idea what we are talking about but send someone out. They don't even bring with them the locks that we had picked out and are completely unhelpful and unapologetic.

I highly recommend Brookline Lock!!!I was in search of a Locksmith that could install door hardware on a multifamily building I own in Newton. I was amazed with how friendly and knowledgeable the team at Brookline Lock was. The finished product was beyond what I could have ever expected! The quick turnaround coupled with the most experienced and knowledgeable locksmiths I have ever worked with makes one thing very clear - I will come here for all of my future door hardware needs and highly recommended Brookline Lock.

They said he would arrive between 9 - 10 am this morning. Didn't happen! I called and they said someone would get back to me. After 20 minutes I called again since no one returned the call. I asked for a simple ETA but they couldn't give me that. It's like they didn't care. It's 10:38 am and he's still not here. As for their work, I won't know until he comes--that will be my second post!! I simply wanted a courtesy call to let me know that he'll be late--they couldn't do that.2nd Post: Guy arrived just short of 11:00 AM. Had the wrong apt. number, but I happened to be waiting in the lobby so was able to let him in. Finished the job in 5 minutes! It was a very simple job. I didn't have a choice in choosing this company, because I'm just a tenant, so the landlord had to call. Based on this experience, I could and would not recommend this company. Frankly, I don't mind if someone is late as long as you're made aware of that. It's like your time doesn't matter at all; we'll get there when we get there. That attitude sucks!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING COMPANY! After accidentally slamming my door I broke the lock to my apartment and was trapped inside. I was in a rush to get to a meeting and didn't know who to turn too. Brookline lock popped up on my google search, and when I called said 'No worries we will be right over'. They showed up almost instantaneously, fixed the issue even quicker, and upgraded my locks to make my apartment more secure. Even better they charged a fair rate, and didn't take advantage of this desperate situation. I will only call Brookline because they care about the everyday person.

Very poor customer service. Quoted $2.50 per key, and without letting me know, he upped the charge to $3.00 because he made them with a computer (40 keys), and didn't think the extra $20 was any big deal. On the first call, we were charged $120 just for coming to the building. We were told that if we had all the locks (5 locks) rekeyed, the $120 charge would be waived. He reduced it to $60 instead. The owner said that we had treated him badly by blaming him for the first visit failure and not picking up the keys immediately. We didn't blame him, and had no idea that we were supposed to pick up keys any sooner than the day before the work was scheduled to be done The owner was condescending and patronizing with me and two of the other owners. I recommend finding another locksmith.

Not good- had to go back to him twice and my key still doesn't work. $117 service charge if they come to your place to help you. Ridiculous.
