Called this place because my ignition was broken, they sent a tech right away. I told the guy NOT TO LOCK MY DOOR, took about 1 hour for him to change the ignition for 279$. The guy also offered me a key with a remote to program it to my car. This guy charges me 180$ for the key with remote just to not be able to program it. Idk if he just didnt know what he was doing but he started coming up with multiple excuses just blaming my car. After all that all the guy had to do was write up my bill and leave, but instead he locks my door and locks the brand new key in the car. Wasting even more time, he got my door open but the car went into anti theft mode because the car must be unlocked with a programed remote key which he couldnt do. After this the guy still charges me over 500$ and left me completely screwed. Now I have to open my hood every time I want to drive and take out fuses because my alarm constantly goes off and every time i open the car or put it in park my alarm goes off. 100% would never recommend this company they caused me more headaches than what they fixed and still had the nerve to charge me over 500$ when the created more problems

I had.to change the locks in my NYC apartment. It was super easy to schedule a same day appointment. The technician Tamir confirmed he was on his way, was on time and was done within less than 5 minutes. I was also provided extra spare keys for my new lock. Would definitely use again!

Firstly, I'm not the type of person to go out of my way to leave a negative review.I called them, they told me I can come in to have my key programmed to the car. I called to make sure if I need an appointment or if now is an okay time to get the job done. I arrive and after some confusion they tell me the person that could do the job left on a call. --- this was fine as things happen. They told me to make up for it, they would just send a tech later to my residence to do the job at same rate as in store. Which I accepted.- I receive no call regarding someone coming to my residence to do the job. I call them later on the same day AND the next day, they take my phone number for a second/third time. It's been 4 days and yet no one bothered.I really hate to do this, but this was not courteous of them as a business and I had already lost about 45 min of driving in my first trip of being told to come in and then being informed sorry the person left for another job despite being told I'm coming.I wish the business had lived up to their word of getting the job done, but NO.They had 3 chances to get the job done, but they were unprofessional. Really disappointed as this business had great reviews.

Had a key broken in the lock at my office after normal business hours on Friday night. Ricky was dispatched and came with 35 minutes!! He was friendly worked quickly and was able to get the broken key out of the lock in no time at all!! Reasonably priced,prompt, friendly just an awesome experience!! I love TOP LOCK. I call them from a neighbor's house telling them I locked myself out of my house taking out the garbage and my mother who has dementia was in the house. she was actually in an unsafe position for being alone that long. She was in that position only because I was right there with her which was OK because I'm watching her, But... I ran out to take the garbage and without thinking, locked the door. I was freaking out !! TOP LOCK got here FAST. Not only did they get here fast, Matt was so sweet, while he was trying to unlock my door, he was helping me, calm down, not to worry, don't worry he said, its almost open. And he said again every time he sense me starting to freak out again. After he opened the door, he left his stuff on the floor for me to get in and check on my mom, I think I almost knocked him over trying to get in, Sorry Matt. He was just so nice. I absolutely love these people and I highly recommend them because not only did they get here fast but he actually really cared, almost as if his own mother was in the house. thank you TOP LOCK, thank you thank you thank you. I am actually still shaking from this and thank god moms good.

I needed to have a door buzzer system installed in my Staten Island and NYC medical offices. I found top lock and decided to call them because they had good reviews. Matthew came out to both locations in the same day and gave me quotes for each right on the spot. They were the 3rd company i called as I was still waiting for quotes to be sent to be by the other two companies. I agreed on the price and Matthew told me he could have both jobs done tomorrow. I was very impressed with the ability to be able to do two jobs at once in 2 different boroughs of NYC. I was at the NYC office and my wife was at the Staten Island office. Outstanding lock repair service. Responded quickly on a weekend / off hours. Quoted an accurate time of arrival (within 90 minutes) and called to confirm 30 minutes before arriving at my door. Fairly pricey. Skilled craftsman arrived (Matt), was able to work on an old mortise lockset, was professionally dressed, cordial and efficient. Learned that it is a second generation family run business. Would absolutely utilize them again and recommend them to all.

He was friendly and he was able to unlock my door fast without damage to the lock. While he was unlocking the door, I asked him if he can make me a car key replacement even though it had the chip. I called Top Lock when I got home from work Thursday night at around 8 PM. Most other locksmiths that I called were already closed for day. I set up an appointment to have all the locks on my house re-keyed. I was quoted what I considered to be a fair price, and my appointment was set for 9 AM the following morning. A gentleman called me in the morning to verify my appointment time and the locksmith arrived on time. The locksmith Ricky couldn't have been nicer and the service was completed within a half hour. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need of residential service.
