This past Saturday we took on a major painting job that required scaffolding in the dining room. We rented what we needed from H. Houst & Son and it was delivered when promised. But, when we started to put the thing together we quickly realized we were in over our heads. We called for help and Houst sent help! No extra charge. Thanks for saving the day!!Our dining room looks fantastic!Been going to Houst for years and I'm not stopping now!

I almost hate to say it but I have to be honest..... On a good day these freaking people operate like cogs in a perfectly oiled machine. Like an orchestra of separate very unique instruments coming together in this hardware symphony.READ OTHER REVIEWS... Don't believe me go in and see for yourself. On the surface it might seem like a laid back hardware store. But as you get to know some of the long long-term individuals ....with their necessary skill sets you're probably going to be stunned. Not to mention the fact that this place has almost everything I've ever needed from a hardware store and I've gone as far as Lowes in Vermont at times looking.

Lots of inventory, but service is lacking and it's not terribly easy to find what you're looking for. Some good deals to be had, particularly from their sale circular, but we found the prices on paint to be a lot higher than Home Depot.
