I had a key break inside the dead bolt and I had no way into my home. Poteat's answered the phone on the first ring and immediately came to my rescue. Within a few minutes I was in my home and had one key that functioned in all my locks. The rates are very reasonable and the service was professional. We had a door lock break and also needed a deadbolt lock installed to keep our grandkids from opening the front door and going outside. On the recommendation of another highly rated locksmith, who only does automobile lock repair, I called Eric who came out the same day, fixed the broken lock and installed a deadbolt. Eric was friendly, professional, and the charges were definitely a lot lower than I expected. I would used Poteat's Lock and Key again without hesitation. Thank you Eric.Update to above. I called multiple times and no answer for any of them. I left 2 messages and they never got back to me. This 24 hour service is a joke. They are not helpful in any way. If they would actual answer theyre phone and respond they might have a better review. 20/10 do NOT recommend

24 hours is a joke. Called and called. Left a message. Never got a call back, so the nonsense about no signal is a front. This is not a 24 hr service. Dont waste your time. Just break your door in.. How can I experience your service to give a good review if I cant get the benefit of a 24hr service in the first place? I called the number thats listed for the business and using a phone is a decently simple concept and no I have nothing better to do because I cant get poteats to open my door so I can do something other than leave an ACCURATE REVIEW

Called twice, no answer no callback. Some 24 hour service, and don't reply saying i didn't call. I've got phone records saying otherwise. Probably shouldn't advertise as 24 hours if you're not actually 24 hours.

They were able to sell me a part for my lock, but didn't seem to have any desire to help me fix it. I ended up going someplace else where the man fixed 2 locks for me in about 15 minutes with the part Poteats sold me. He wasn't even a locksmith. You would think the locksmith would have been able to fix my lock... or at least be willing to try.

Excellent service. Key broke off in a switch on a German built commercial slitting machine control panel. Key was ruined. I took the switch assembly to Mr Poteat and he was able to duplicate the broken key and retrofit a new one for the switch assembly. I was concerned that it would not be possible because of it being of European design. Mr Poteat put my fears to rest with two new keys! The machine now works flawlessly. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.
