The best place to go to get in and get out with exactly what you need. The staff act like they are happy to help and even when the store is busy someone comes to see if they can help. I recently wanted two 50 pound bags of weed and feed but the bags were over my head. The girl at the register called someone to help and a girl came up, got the bags and then carried them to my truck. I was so impressed and thankful.

This is a great small town hardware store. The staff here are always eager to help you in any way they can. The store has a great variety of inventory as well. They do offer the propane filling tanks there which the price is very reasonable. I am a frequent customer and would recommend this store to anyone!

Every time I go there Im greeted as soon a I walk through the door, taken right to what I need and have even had the folks insist on carrying my stuff to my truck! Here's what's different about Spencer's Hardware: I never get lost in the store, there are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable staff ready to help me if I am looking for something specific and the prices are very fair (and sometimes lower than the big box home improvement stores). I trust the ACE brand products and I appreciate the way shopping at Spencer's makes me feel - like I matter!

Today was my first visit to Spencer's Hardware.It will NOT be my last. Went with the intentions of pricing some new Stihl chainsaws. Long story short I left with a new saw, chaps, and the oil and fuel I needed. Not because they pressured me, but because after talking with a few of them I WANTED to buy from this place. These are the businesses we the people need to support. NOT the box stores and Internet. I'm all about saving money, but what are you really saving if none of what you spend stays here?Thanks for helping me choose a new hardware store guys!! Here's to my new Stihl saw lasting 20 years.

Last month I had one of those 'disasters' that any non-handy householders dread - the pipes in my well house around the pump and tank finally gave up the ghost, and I had no water, a big puddle, and a big headache. I went to Spencer's Hardware and met a gentleman called Jack. This guy has become my superman! He took me around the store, looking at the photo I took of the area I need to replace (there's a great tip - take a photo if you don;t know the technical words!). He found the pipes and switch I needed, then cleared a nice space on a shelf, and showed me exactly how things should go together, how to do the job, and where the pitfalls were. The entire cost was less than a plumber's call-out charge, and I felt empowered.Thanks Jack - 'Ace the Helpful Place' is really not just a strapline at Spencers!
