The operators of All Star Lock in Waynesville exceeded my expectations today. After considerable efforts, they were able to track down a key blank for my BMW motorcycle storage lock boxes {panniers). They cut the blank and it works perfectly in the locks, as you would expect. The BMW dealer wanted to sell me a new Key fob $$$$. Highly Recommended!!!!

My buddy broke his key for his Honda Civic, so I drove him over here and to get a new key, the service was very friendly, and didnt take long at all, and the prices are great! After making three trips to Ace Hardware and being told at the South Asheville store he didnt want to due to Covid and referring me to Merrimon Ave. I came back to the Lake Junaluska Ace Hardware and they didnt have the right programmer. They graciously referred me to All Star Lock and Key. They were fabulous! In a matter of 20 minutes got my key programmed and my old key to work again! Awesome friendly customer service. We needed a 24 hour locksmith after breaking a key in the front door lock at 6.00 pm. We live in Arden and despite calling all the locksmiths in the area bragging about their 24 hour service we ended up leaving messages on answering machines that not one of them bothered to answer. In the end we saw All Star, we called and spoke with Shelly. She was very helpful and despite being a hours drive from us offered to see if she could get one of their techs to come out. She also suggested a company that was local but had not shown up on Google. We called them and they sent a tech to fix our problem. In the meantime Shelly called us back to say that she had found one of her techs who would come out if we needed them. We explained that the company she mentioned were helping us and thanked her for all her trouble.I really have no problem highly recommending this company that went to all this trouble to help us knowing that there was a good chance that we would end up using a local person in the end. If I could give 6 stars I would.

I would highly recommend All Star Lock and Security! The owner, Jason, was very professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Being from out of state, he could have easily charged me much more for his service, but his rates were very fair and reasonable especially considering he got to me within a half an hour of my call. I cannot speak highly enough of All-Star Lock & Security. We have seen Jason twice now. First for a lock-out incident to which he responded quickly and got us back in the home. The second time he serviced, replaced and rekeyed quite a few locks on the property. Fast, affordable, friendly, professional, reliable, knowledgable, and does top notch work. When I went behind to close up, turn off lights that I had left for him, etc. Jason had already closed everything I had opened for him and had also taken care of all the lights. Had it not been for the fantastic repairs, I would have never known that he was here. He was a pleasure to work with. Quality workmanship, and even better people.

Had a problem finding someone who could cut the side cut keys for a Volkswagen accurately. Had had some cut before but they did not work the way they were supposed to. Jason actually took the time to verify what the issue was with the previously cut keys and correct the alignment of the cut to make his work correctly the first time everytime. He even cut generic blank to test with so that he did not mess up my expensive flip keys. Definitely recommend the services and the staff.

We called this number several times since they advertise they are a 24/7 service. Never answered and never returned my call. We were desperately trying to get into our airbnb as the electronic lock ran out of batteries and the property owner wasnt available by phone, text, or email for two hours. Airbnb was going to reimburse our expense for a locksmith and this was the closest one. Luckily a service from Asheville drove out to Maggie Valley and the guy that DID show up mentioned this service...apparently theyre known for not answering. If you dont want to be 24/7 - thats fine. Dont advertise that you are. My children are finally in bed because someone else came to my rescue tonight - and we happily paid that person and tipped well too.

My wife and I accidentally locked ourselves out of a rental cabin in Bryson City, NC. It was late, and since we were in the middle of nowhere in the mountains, there was no-one we could call for help! All Star came to the rescue, even though they're located over an hour away! They came as fast and possible, and within minutes of arrival, we were able to get back inside the cabin. Not only are they truly a 24 hour service, but they're affordable as well. What a professional experience following a most frustrating experience. During a weekend trip out of state, we somehow lost our car keys. Finding the venue at where the keys were lost to be beyond frustrating and even down-right maddening, we called this business the following morning trying to figure out how to get a complex smart-key replaced in order to return to our plans and eventually home. Jason was prompt, fast and extremely professional. Once on site, he had the key replaced in less than 25 minutes. If ever our situation requires it - we would be call this business again in a heartbeat.

I called all star lock and security because the ignition key broke off inside the switch. There was a small piece still inside the lock cylinder and the larger remaining piece was in my hand. I had contacted other locksmith's who advised me to take the car to a mechanic to have the steering column dropped out so they could remove the lock cylinder. Then the mechanic could reassemble the steering column. I found out this was going to cost me over $300.00 including the wrecker bill{I have to tell you I own a 1996 Nissan 300z it is pristine}. All star came from Sylvia to Waynesville in about 20 minutes. They were able to extract the broken piece of key in about 3 or 4 minutes. Using a spare key that I had, I was back on the road in no time. Total time for All star key was about 25 minutes. Cost for me $95.00! These were the most professional, compassionate and friendly people I have dealt with. I felt completely safe and by the time we were finished they felt like part of the family! I would recommend this company to ANYONE who needs their type work.

We have a lost car key situation with a resistor chip in a car that we are gifting to my son who is 17,the car hasn't been used in a few years therefore we were not in an urgent need of a key (my son May differ on that opinion) but had no other set to make copies from so after contacting Jason from All Star Lock and Key, which has (as of Nov of 2018) 27- 5 star reviews, he says he will call us back the next day, this is on a Friday. 6 days later we call him back, he then said he didn't save our number and would come out the next day and would call in the afternoon, which he did. He called 3 times in an hour when my boyfriend wasn't near phone and then after we attempted to return his calls and leave massages he did not respond till the next morning. He did drive out to our home on Friday and after about an hour said he was having trouble accessing the website needed to get the info for our exact key but had all the needed info and would get online at home and make the key and would call us when it was ready, my boyfriend even offered that we could come out to the other side of the county where Jason said he lived and pick it up. Well last night we did not hear back and nothing all day today until dinner time when he calls and tells us he is in FLORIDA and won't be back til late Wednesday night. Yesterday afternoon he did not mention leaving town, nor a delay in his ability to do what he was being hired to do, and today he did not mention an emergency or pressing issue for a quick departure to Florida so I am assuming he knew of it beforehand and for whatever reasoning decided to leave us high and dry. I am flabbergasted at his lack of professionalism, decorum, and how's this company has a five star rating. Even if my situation wasn't an emergency doesn't mean we are not paying customers whom deserve some human decency. I'll take my business elsewhere.
