Called to say they would be there within an hour. And hour and forty minutes later, still no one. Called and he should be there in two minites. Ten minutes later..finally shows up. Then after being quoted one rate with nothing else changing all of the sudden $60 higher. Two stars for at least finishing the job. Figured with lots of good ratings of would be a slam dunk. Learned my lesson!

Joshua and his service was absolute on the money. Jimmy answered my call immediately and Tony called me back under 5 minutes after to confirm my address and that he would be out to me in 30 minutes, which he was. I was very surprised because the only type of vehicle assistance ive used in the past was Triple A, where you can wait up to 4 hours for service. Advanced lock and key was fast, friendly, reliable, and even guaranteed no damage to my car in my lock-out situation. 10/10 would recommend.

Had a deadbolt emergency on Monday evening. I could not get the lock to turn. I googled 'locksmith in Shaker Heights' and called the 1st place listed: Advanced Lock & Key. Someone answered quickly and had no problem getting to me within 15 minutes. My issue was resolved in less than 10 minutes with a whole new deadbolt and door knob. Excellent service and a completely fair price for an emergency situation!!

Although I didnt do business with these people because I was out of their service area, they answered the phone in the middle of the night, gave me great advice and my car was up and running in no time. RUDE!!!! UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! NOT PERSONABLE!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!! DONT USE THESE PEOPLE. The person on the phone wasnt nice when I first called. I got locked out of my house. The guy pulled up to the house, honked the horn, got out of his vehicle, didnt ask me which door, just approached the door and gruffly asked me which lock. I told him both locks and he proceeds to work on it after I was given a chastisement where he says, See this is why we have to give a quote over the phone cause now its twice the work and these are old locks. Mind you, he never said hello nor told me his name and introduced himself. I made no effort to have conversation with him because he was totally unapproachable and short. His demeanor is one that says hes never in a good mood and is just someone you dont ever want to get to know. He unlocks the door and I go in to get payment. I pay for the service, I mean disrespect, and he leaves. I go to lock the door and the top lock wont lock or unlock with the key. I call him back and received the response I expected to get. I was yelled at and I never got loud with him and was spoken to as if I shouldve known that was going to happen. I am going to report this business to the BBB and attorney general to get my money back. I dont know much about locksmithing but I shouldve been educated and informed about any possible mishaps and given the chance to decide if I wanted to proceed.WOW!!!! I HAD TO ADD ON AN ADDITIONAL COMMENT AFTER HOW I WAS TREATED LATER THAT DAY. I finally found out the technicians name because he never told me when he came: Jimmy. Of course, no last name. After leaving the review, Jimmy called me and proceeded to chastise me for leaving the review and decided he had a right to tell me that I was incompetent like his other customers that dont understand locksmithing and call him back after their locks dont work after he serviced them. I hung up the phone......What else was there to do? I couldnt talk to him when he was at my house, couldnt talk to him to tell him what was going on after he left and i couldnt talk to him again because all that would happen is he tell me how I was wrong. Wrong for what? All I did was call for locksmith service. Eventually a supervisor, Shirelle, called me and I had to explain to her what happened. She eventually proceeded to get Jimmy on the phone for a three-way conversation where he continued to do what he did when he called me before. He was getting mad at me for his interactions with previous customers and he said he would come back and take the lock apart and show me the parts to prove that the lock not working is not his fault. Ive been living at this location for 31 years with this exact same lock and never had any problems until after he serviced it. He said customers have had this happen before after he serviced them. Ok, so the locks didnt work after you serviced them?! But, according to him, its not his fault. If this is something that can occur after you service them then its something that needs to be taken care of by Jimmy. Im not unintelligent, by no means, but in offering a locksmith service where I know that a lock can jam after being serviced I would follow through on the service and come back free-of-charge to fix it and without blaming the customer for being incompetent for something they didnt do. I had to hang up the phone. Hes impossible to talk to so how do I get my money back? Eventually the supervisor, shirelle, says shes going to speak to the owner, Sam, and give me a call back. She calls me back and has a supervisor on the phone named Mike. He gives me a deal that I couldnt accept. The deal didnt involve me getting my money back. Mike became very nasty with me and blamed me for the expenses that the company would incur for sending another technician and told me I was messing with this business by leaving a negative review. Again this company blamed me. STEER CLEAR OF ADVANCED LOCK AND KEY!!!! THEY DONT RELIEVE HEAD ACHES, THEY CAUSE THEM!!!! The owners response is a total lie!!!!!!!!
