The ignition switch locked up in my car and I had to have it replaced. I called a few locksmith's and the price was extremely high! Brandon quoted us a reasonable price and when the actual job was done, the price was cheaper than what we had been quoted! I you want a great locksmith that knows what they are doing, call Tyler's, you will not be disappointed, and it didn't take all day!!

After 20 years, one of our exterior doors with a three point deadbolt system quit working properly. We called a local [Brownsville] locksmith but he had no idea how to repair the lock. Not impressed. The first time I went, a very sleepy employee botched my expensive factory key, but it worked, so I didn't complain. The second time, a different employee seemed to be untrained and took a long time to cut two different keys, only one of them wound up working. I am not returning. With several people working there, they should also be able to keep consistent hours.

Im giving one star for the lack of knowledge/honesty i was given by Brandon from Tyler's locksmith. I had him come out to reset an immobilizer on my 01 honda civic, quoted a price of 115 dollars. He came out and attempted to program it to the ECU, and failed(I've recently learned). He told me that hondas have a master key and thats why the key light never came on the dashboard light. He also knocked his price to $65, which im assuming now is because he didnt know what he had done. I trusted him at the time and imagined I'd be looking at a bigger expensive repair(new ECU or worse) and decided to tow it to victory honda. They had it cranked up within a few hours of diagnosing and reprogramming the immobilizer. I am highly dissatisfied and if they were open at the moment I'd be calling to ask about a refund. Will do tomorrow morning. If you need a key cut, sure use these guys. Need an actually knowledgeable keysmith, I'd take it elsewhere. Especially if its a honda.
