Area Safe is one of the best lock shops that I have been to. I needed some keys cut and the lady working the front was so polite and friendly and gave me a few options to choose from. Keys were made quickly and accurately. As well, since I was there I saw some safes and had a few questions, just generally, I wasnt planning on buying one at the time, and the owners took time to explain the differences and benefits. When I am ready to buy I would definitely shop there. I wouldnt typically take time to write a review but felt compelled given how impressed I was with the service. Dont waste your time at the big box stores and shop locally owned and operated as it is people like this that are keeping the real economy going. I had taken a set of house keys to multiple lumber yards and hardware stores and had copies made. None would work. First time I presented to Denise the owners wife. She looked and explained why they often dont cut correctly. She cut two keys with a promise to keep trying if necessary. Both worked flawlessly! Saved me time and effort. Greeted so friendly and always fast service. Very professional service.

The best customer service! This place can make ANY key at reasonable prices. Auto keys are way cheaper than any dealership. Also work on ANY type of lock (home, auto, business) and all types of safes. Very knowledgeable and very friendly employees make this place a nice experience.

In the 11+ years I have worked in Alvin, Texas I have gone to and completely trusted Area Safe and Lock. After many co-workers had retired, most of the knowledge left with them. With the help of Area Safe and Lock I learned things involving locks and keys to continue the service that had become my responsibility. There were many times I went into their location with a 'who knows what key/lock' and they were able to help me with no trouble or worries on their end. I'm welcomed instantly as I walk in and assisted immediately. The quality of their work is top notch, I have no need to ever go anywhere else. Keep up the good work!

The only place I will go to get keys copied or locks rekeyed. In 20 years I've had over a hundred keys made and they all worked perfectly. They have even hand cut replacements for badly worn keys. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. I highly recommend a visit.

I went here and got my vintage uhaul camper lock fixed and a key made. I thought it would be unfixable or too old but they were able to fix my lock and make me a key for $30 in about 30 minutes. Super awesome service all around

One of my fleet trucks keys broke off in the ignition. I didnt know who to call once we got it out of the column. Thank goodness we called Area Safe and Lock. Second visit recently. Very good experience each time. The first one was to get extra locks the kind that have to be programmed. I had ordered and got a couple extras offline and they were really good about making then be able to work and function properly. Last time was to get a unique trailer door key that we couldn't find other places but they had it right there on the wall.
