This business is a racket. They charged 250 dollars because the permit was not displayed. Arrived at 8 pm to condo and by the time I went down at 9 to put permits on truck it had been towed. They had to have had look out waiting while I was in room getting settled. The worst is they towed it 1 mile away. No negotiating price very rude and arrogant.

After 4th of July Fireworks, There was gridlock on the tiny island that is SPI. After sitting in drunk traffic with my 14 yr old daughter and her 14 yr old friend, getting hoots and hollers from 30 yr old men, I decided I'd had enough and we parked at Josephine's. Yes it had a sign that said there was towing. It was 11 o'clock at night and it was closed. I arrived early in the morning to retrieve the cart and it had been towed. After calling the number on the towing sign, and the police, and the cart company, with no luck, I called Paradise towing. They had it. 300 dollars to pick it up, a mile away. This is the type of thing you might find in Mexico, had I crossed over into Matamoros. All I can think is that there is some level of significant corruption that this type of criminal activity is allowed. I've been coming to SPI since I was a child, and will never be back. Not just because of this experience, but also because SPI has changed dramatically. It's dirty, crowded, overrun by criminal elements, even though the police are working their butts off. I don't know how they do it, honestly. According to the locals, this towing company has been known to tow golf carts straight from the rental lots!Bad for tourism, but I know wherever you go there are desperate people willing to exploit tourists. However, being from Texas, I somehow thought we were a little different, a little kinder, and I still believe that, just not South Padre Island. Not anymore. Goodbye, old friend. I do not know you anymore.

Almost twice the cost of Houston charge to get my vehicle back after being towed for parking in empty business lot after hours across from the condo we rented. Was told on phone 'cash only' accepted. When I showed up they had a CC reader and then. told me they did accept CCs, but it was $10 more to use a credit card. Kid at desk was friendly enough he told me they told people 'cash only' to help the save money, but lots of holes in his responses when I asked a few questions. I've worked for same style businesses and they may work on visiting holiday kids, but I know lots of loopholes used in this manner. Hope they are reporting all those 'cash only' tows as I've mailed a copy of my receipt to county and BBB. Even at 50% of the full impound yard they choosing to pay in 'cash only' they would be pulling down 6K daily on July 4th week. I actually went back and checked impound yard two more days after and saw the same thing.

Towed vehicle from questionable beach access area within 10 mins. Move fast to avoid drop charges. Stranded my toddler and family. Lovely people. Sniping on holiday weekends. Ruined an otherwise excellent trip to SPI.

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!!!! Wish I could give ZERO stars. Worst company ever! They made me pay them up front to come give me a tow, however they never showed up. I went to their location the next day to dispute, and get my money back. They then pretended this never happened. I then could not reach them after that.

POS. Stranded in the middle of the night on Easter weekend. We called them to come out, and had spotty service. They said they would be there in several hours. NEVER showed up, even after we called them three times!!! Slept in car and waited for a legitimate towing company to come out and help. The really messed up thing is that they charged $600 to my credit card before they agreed to come out. After we were towed out by honest people, we went to Paradise Towings office and they said we would receive a refund within a week. None of the money was ever returned. Will be contacting the BBB. ZERO stars.

We had a flat tire today. I called our motor club and they dispatched Paradise Towing. I was told that the would arrive by 140 pm. They arrived on time and took about 20 mins to change the tire. I thought that was real good service for a Saturday.

They claim to offer 24 hour services, but apparently they only tow vehicles 24 hours. We havr been trying to get a vehicle back, and have been unable to get any help whatsoever. We were told to come in at 9 am, and then we were told to wait until 10. This business is extremely unprofessional.

I was so disappointed with your VERY BAD SERVICE. I CALLED YOU IN AN EMERGENCY , MY DOG WAS LOCKED IN A CAR WITH THE ENGINE AND AC TURNED ON my truck has auto lock. she had just had surgery so she was waling and crying for almost 2 hours and I coulnt get to her .. IWATED 1 HOUR AND HALF. Everytime I called you ? You were extremely rude everytime I called to ask when you were coming. At an hour and almost 35 minutes I called again only for you to tell me you were 'too busy and you weren't coming AT ALL'. THANK GOD the company that showed up was from port Isabel AAA LOCK & KEY . they were quick and there in 25 minutes.

This towing company should be put out of business. My daughter and her friends we're in a restaurant eating dinner, when they walked out my daughter's car was gone, she called the police and they said to contact Paradise Towing, we called them, and they we're so rude. When we got to the facility, there was a line of people waiting to get their car's back, we waited outside and in a 5 min. period they pulled in 3 more cars. I asked the owner why they do this, his response was it was Spring Break and they could. This to me is illegal practices, preying on these young college students just to make a buck. They did however return our car at no charge because we had a receipt from the restaurant where she was eating. We shouldn't have had to go through this. I filed a complaint with the state and hopefully we can put this company out of business.
