Had them out to look at my gun safe that has slipped a disk..... ends up it needs to be drilled and new components. Was told itll take 7 to 10 days. No big deal....... over a month later....no phone calls. I've called 3xs and told the safe technician will get back with you........ crickets...... no response from him. So over a month later and now starting from scratch

Lost my only car key. I brought in my door cylinder and they were able to reverse-engineer a key that works for the lock and the ignition within a couple hours or so (even though that cylinder has an extra pin that the door doesn't!) These guys were super helpful and their pricing was quite reasonable. Great communication (gave me a callback). Would go there again.

The second star is only because they gave a recommendation for someone else (who still hasn't responded to my messages). Alpine Lock hasn't been able to program my fobs for my car. They've said twice that their programming tool for it is broken, then they said to just go elsewhere entirely. Fine, I will. Can't recommend these guys for car services.

I work for a business that uses Alpine Lock for all of their keys. I called two months ago requesting a key. They stated that they were waiting for some specialty key stock to come in. I called a month later, and was told the same thing. I got the building administrator involved, and... what do you know... I now have the key. They did tell her that they never received my calls, which tells me that they are not just a poor service company... but in my opinion, a dishonest one. Take your business elsewhere... I would!

I had a nightmare weekend where I lost my only copy of my car key and struggled to get a lock that they could use to make a new key. After cutting about 12 slightly different keys for me, I was able to get a new one that worked. The guy I worked with was very nice and friendly and saved my bacon. I highly recommend Alpine Lock!

The guy was great, got the door open in less than 5 seconds. However I live 4mins away by car, yet it cost me $45... talk about extortion. $45 to open a door that took less than 5 seconds for a 4min trip.Apparently the regular price is $55 but because I live in AF I got a whopping $10 'discount'. I get it I should of made sure the key to my apartment was on my keys but really?? $45Not to mention, yall didn't verify that I actually live there, which honestly makes me nervous. What if someone attempts to rob me (has happened) and calls you and claims they live there...

Locked my keys in my car for the first time ever like a dork called these guys and they had someone to me in 15 minutes (I was in Lehi) and had my keys to me in a matter of minutes. I was also worrying that it was going to be super expensive, but I was pleasantly surprised by the cost. It was worth it for the speedy service!

I was hoping for a key to be copied and ended up paying for two keys that do not work. The cost of the keys was not the big deal, it was the time I took off work to go there. When I returned to the store on 4/22 to see if I could have the keys re-cut there was a sign in the window saying that they were closed for the rest of the day. It was 10:30am.Even when they are open, their business hours are not convenient if you work days and you should definitely call before you make a trip over there.I got another locksmith (Lynn's in Murray) to make me working copies of my desk keys for half the price ON THE FIRST TRY. I grew up thinking that Alpine Lock was the best and now I know that I was wrong.

They're good at what they do but their customer service is awful. I went there and stood in the lobby for 10 min without getting helped. I just figured everyone was out helping customers but it turned out that there were people there in the back that just didn't want to come out and talk to me. The other day I tried coming by during business hours only to find out that they'd put up a paper sign in the window saying that they had decided to close early that day. Tried calling them today and their voicemail box is full. I know home-based businesses that are better at customer service than this. I know there aren't a lot of options in Northern Utah County but I'd recommend going elsewhere if you can. Getting anyone to help you here is an adventure.

Our key code died when I got home from work and we didn't have a normal key. They were able to come out and get me back into my house. They had to completely destroy the place where the key goes in because our electric lock was so secure but for a very small charge they were able to replace it and make us 2 keys right on the spot. It was super easy and slick. The only complaint I have is that it took about 40 minutes for the person to come out after I called.

I have a intercom and doorbell system that they stated the could find a replacement for. The service department said that they would call me back. the call never came. I have made 6 call attempts and stopped by the store twice. Each time the staff said they would find a product and call me back. It has been over two month with no return call.

I had a problem with an old car key breaking off in the door. I was worried I was going to get charged so much. Not only did they get it out and make a new key in less than half an hour, but they only charged me 20 dollars for the whole thing. I would go to them for anything. Beyond impressed and satisfied as a customer.

These guys are AWESOME! I had them program some new fobs and make a new key, no charge to program the new fobs, just charged for the key! They have no idea how much I appreciate their know how and expertise! This place is my always go to place! You won't be disappointed ever!

I called them last Friday and set up an appointment for Monday morning. They said they would call first thing before coming over. They never called Monday at all, but instead just came by Tuesday when we were gone. They left a note on the door. I called them and told them what happened and they asked for a second chance to make it right. So we set up an appointment for us to be their very first call this morning ( Thursday) I told them I had to leave for another appointment at 10:40 AM . They said they would be here by 9 AM. I called them at 9:05 and they said they were on their way. I called again at 9:50 and they said they were running a bit late but on their way. and would be here in 15 to 20 minutes. Again, I told them I had to leave at 10:40. I waited until 10:45 AM before I left and they never got here. VERY poor communication and no willingness from their dispatcher to apologize or to really make it right as shown by the second total miss of the scheduled appointment and couple disregard for reasonable customer service.

Best 24 hour locksmith/lockout service in the area. We called that other 24 hour locksmith and they scammed us, quoted like 50 bucks and then wanted to charge 150... We called alpine they came out, THEY STUCK TO THEIR ORIGINAL QUOTE, fantastic service, very polite and great to work with. Go with these guys they're the best.

I recently went in to Alpine Lock and was taken care of in less than a handful of minutes. They are pros at what they do and make sure you are taken care of. I don't go anywhere for else for Locksmith service. I also have had the pleasure of interacting with them professionally. They participate in a ton of community outreach programs and I have seen them sponsor programs that help local businesses and youth groups. Alpine Lock is a great business with awesome people. Take note! These guys really are the best.

Not competent or reliable. Sorry, but two failures back to back gives me concern. First fail is that I have a french door that would not retract the upper locking unit all the time. They 'fixed' it and now it will not open at all. Second fail, is when I called them and they said they would be here to remove a stuck key from a lock and they never showed up, no call nothing. Not competent or reliable.

They came to re-key a bunch of our office doors and did a great, prompt, and professional job. As they were finishing up, we realized we forgot to specify something during the estimate which would require them to redo some work they had already done. They did it happily and with no complaints. I was impressed and pleased with their work.

Kind of a random thing but my new Samsonite suitcase has two locks on it. I set them yesterday and went to open it and only one would open. Called Samsonite and they couldnt help. Went to local locksmith and within a few minutes figured out what to do. Didnt even charge me. Amazing service !

An RCA pin had broken off in the movie speaker, threatening my daughter's birthday party. Tried and tried to find a solution to get the pin out; screws, needle from back, etc., with no luck.I thought, 'Maybe a locksmith?' On a lark I stopped at Alpine. Never been there before. They found it an interesting challenge and jumped to it. Finally they drilled a couple of micro holes and pushed out the pin. Party was on!I tried to pay, but they refused it. Super impressed. Had to write up this thank you!

Extraordinary guest service!!!! tonight they went above and beyond to help me out when they easily could have asked me to come back tomorrow. Today my key broke off in my ignition. I was able to get it started with the broken half of the key. Hurry to American to pick up my kids and hustle to alpine lock hoping they closed at 6 or 7. I get there at 5:37 see the 5:30 closing sign and pull on the locked door. Thinking CRAP!!!! One of the guys inside walks to the door and says no worries come on in. (I'm sure he secretly regretted it later) as he worked diligently on my car for 45 minutes. Then 2-3 other guys come out to help. My stubborn car finally gave way to their mad skills after well over an hour. Keeping them all after hours. The entire time they had great attitudes. Although I'm sure they would have much rather been at home. Thanks again for helping me out. I will definitely recommend to everyone I know!!!

1 star, and 5 stars. When I walked in, two guys six feet away were standing at their work areas, facing me, and neither would look at me though they clearly could see me. There was a girl cleaning up near the front door; not a word from her either. No, 'they'll be with you soon, sir' - nothing. After at least FIVE MINUTES I finally interrupted the guys to ask if they could help with a broken door handle spring. One finally looked at me and said he'd need about 20 minutes before he could look (it was 30 minutes til closing). Right at closing time, another guy with a goatee walked in, was handed my door handle, and replaced the spring in five minutes. Knowing nothing of my atrocious customer experience thusfar, he smiled and said the only charge was a handshake. From abysmal to outstanding!UPDATE:Bumping up to four stars, and probably should be five or six. I've been in several times now, having been helped by several different people (who don't know me from Adam) over the last year, and have not had the negative experience repeated. There is rather a pervasive, small-town helpful attitude there. Helping me for 10 or 20 minutes, no charge, with stuff I didn't even buy there is nothing to them. Awesome.
