I'd recently had an intruder outside my home. My locks were old, and none of my doors had deadbolts. I chose Mac because of his reviews and couldn't be happier! He was able to come out that day, give me new lock recommendations, and drill out and install multiple deadbolts. They were all smooth and easy to work, and looked great too! For the quantity and quality of the work, the price was unbeatable. I highly recommend Mac's services! Thank you again!

They have a complete selection of all types of locks and keys and are very good at repairing all types of locks. They have almost all of the keys for all cars and trucks. Car dealers use Mac's.

The people who work here were very polite and kind and helped us in a quick manner. They told us stories and jokes and showed us cool things that they had while we waited to feel as if the time (which was not very long at all) were shortened. After we paid a decent price for a brand new key they gave us something free which was very generous. The key works great and so was their service!! I recommend Mac's Lock & Key!

Not only was the gentleman who helped me with my car fast and polite, when the keys were not in the car after he unlocked it, he searched near the car and even in the r grass before asking if I would like a spare key made (I had lost the others). It cost a decent amount, but it was certainly fair for the service provided. I highly recommend not losing your keys and having to call Mac's to come help you, but if you do, they will provide great service, and treat you fairly.Oh, and I found my keys the next day. They were in my other pants.

I had an emergency and needed a locksmith fastI guess if youre calling the locksmith, its always an emergency. Anyways, I was amazed with the service! He was at my car within 6 minutes, unlocked the vehicle and was gone and I was on my way within 10 minutes of my call!! So happy that I called Macs!

They refuse to program a key fob purchased elsewhere unless you first buy one of theirs. Absurd.Edit: I ended up going to Superior Locksmith in West Jordan. $55 and five minutes later, they had me ready to roll.

Update: Macs lock and key contacted me and they resolved the issue. I appreciate their willingness to work this out and resolve it with ease. On December 19 I was quoted $125 for a transponder key, when I was on the phone with the person they seemed a bit rude but whatever everyone has a bad day. I had called A1 Lock & Key and they quoted me the same but Mac's is closer so I chose them. On December 28, I called them and they quickly came out and got the key I needed. I will say they do work fast and they seem to know what they are doing. However, when it came time to be billed I was charged $150. I discussed with the technician that I had previously been quoted $125 and he called in to check. He said he talked to the two guys who would have quoted me and they both disagreed that they ever quoted me that. They say transponder keys are always $150, I explained I had my key code and pin for the key so it could have been quoted differently because they did not need to get that from the dealer. I wouldn't have picked them had I gotten a quote for $150 instead of the $125 that I was previously quoted. They did not stand to their quote for me and charged me $150 for the key. I told the technician that I wasn't happy about it but I needed a key for my car so I payed up. So if you need a key they know what they are doing and they come quickly but if you get a quote over the phone make sure to take down the persons name, the day you called, and I would also record the conversation just in case. Also, public service announcement don't go to a dealership for a transponder key because they will charge more but you can go to them with your registration and get the code and pin for free.

Custom setups are no problem with them, they seem to delight in the difficult and the unusual challenges. I highly recommend them, and have sent all my lock smith work to them.

WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! DO NOT GO HERE FOR SERVICES!!! If I could give these guys negative stars I would give them -100 stars. They did not do what was asked but still charged me for the service. When we told them we weren't going to pay them for doing nothing the locksmith then went and began locking my vehicle so that I could not get in it. Then the locksmith called the police for theft of service even though they did not do a service. The locksmith was overly rude and incompetent. I will definitely NEVER go here nor recommend then for assistance again.

I highly recommend going somewhere else. I went to get a spare key for my Mazda and they didnt have it in stock. So they told me to come back in 2 weeks. I came back in 2 weeks and they STILL hadnt ordered it yet and they told me to come back in 2 weeks. This happened 2 more times. Months have passed by and they finally had my key in stock. They close at 5:00 and I was there at 4:20. They told me it takes 30 mins to program my key and refused my service because they wanted to close early. Overall, awful custom service. I am gladly going to take my business elsewhere and I highly recommend you do the same.

If I could give even less of a review I would. We went to a fun family trip at lagoon something normally we can not do it's been years. At the end of the night my car key feel on a ride and shattered. We were in a desperate situation and I was pretty concerned. We called this locksmith from the Logan # on the the card lagoon gave they recommend. The guy told me is normal fee was $150 however because it was Sunday he wanted to charge $300 plus tax. I started to cry. Simply said I told him I just cannot afford that. He proceeded to suggest I ask my boyfriend who was out of town or make payment's. So even though my broken key wouldn't work lagoon was kind enough to let us keep the car there overnight. The dealership in the morning can cut me a key for a fraction of the cost. This locksmith was clearly taken advantage of me because I was in a desperate situation. I've called locksmiths before on Sundays and at most charge around $80. I'm glad I just figured out a different way. I'm very sad lagoon would consider and recommend this place. I will be contacting lagoon to let them know.

We had a door knob break during the holidays. We usually try to fix things ourselves, but we called and they came immediately. The technician even had to go back to the store for a part, but didn't charge us extra and we are so pleased with the service and the fair price. This is the 2nd time that we've hired them for a job and come out way farther ahead than if we'd done it ourselves!

BUYER BEWARE I will be reporting this business to the BBB. My family purchased 2 keys at once for $243.00. Truck worked fine before they program keys. A couple weeks later truck keys wont work WITH KEYS. Called Macs Lock and keys they said tow it down here. Said they already knew the part that needed to be fixed without checking it out. They quouted $125.00 over the phone. Then when my dad showed up said it would be $400.00. Now truck is towed there. Battery dies. My dad replaced the part they said. He asked to barrow a tool they had ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE DIDNT EVEN GO LOOK AT TRUCK. My dad changes part himself. Keys stil DONT WORK. Now days later I go in and ask why they wouldn't help my dad ONCE AGAIN ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They take zero accountability for anything because NOTHING is their fault. Even though I see similiar issues with customer service and way off qoutes on online reviews. They say we won't let them look at the truck well yeah my dad was there and you wouldnt go look at it. Also someone pushed mirrors in on the truck when we got there. THERE IS SOMETHING VERY OFF ABOUT THE WORK THATS BEING DONE HERE BE SUPER CAREFUL DOING BUSINESS HERE. I HAVE VIDEO OF THE KID SLAMMING THE TRUCK DOOR SAYING SEE TOLD YOU SO. BEING VERY DISRESPECTFUL.ALSO WISH I would have known a company I volunteer at here in Bountiful also discontinued doing business with them because of unethical misbehavior.

Depends on who you get or who you talk to. I went in the other day and the associate that assisted was great, helped me find everything I needed and was very helpful. I went in again expecting the same result and got the opposite result. The associate that helped me constantly talked down to me, like I had no idea what I was talking about, and had a know it all attitude with me. While I was there, he answered the phone and was very unprofessional to the person he was on the phone with. I don't think I'll be returning here for their services.

My good friend had pictures and video of what Mac's service guys did to her car. Then, when they couldn't get the alarm to shut off, rather than being honerable and honest about the situation, they LOCKED the car back up and drove away. Now they are actually requesting her to pay for the 'service'?? They really scratched up her car too, but refuse further actions until she pay. The reason you call a locksmith is to get you out of a tough situation. Not RELOCK the vehicle and leave you there because they couldn't get the alarm to shut off. That is the opposite of what providing service is about. Don't kick people when they are down and helpless. Don't pick mac, you won't make it back!

I love Mac's Lock & Key. Not only did they replace the battery in my Automobile Clicker, but also in my garage door clicker. They are fast, reasonably priced, and I love the banter in the store. We have also used them to have our office keys redone and locks redone. If it is not right the first time or if the key has any trouble, you need only to let them know and they will come back and get it fixed. They are also Mobile, which is really nice.

I was told that they only offer OEM replacement key fobs 'because they are the quality that we can stand behind' but I actually got a cheap $20 key fob from Ebay and they charged me $210 for it. Not to mention the additional $130 to cut the key. I called in to ask about it, and they told me that they don't offer guarantees. Talk about a scam. SAD!
