Not to be overlooked- this shop offers expertise and advice that you will not get at the big box stores. Save yourself a ton of hassle with hardware stores, these guys only do locks and keys so they offer friendly and professional service, be sure to call them for any rekeying, lock replacement, upgrades, key copies, etc!

Fantastic service, from start to finish! Renee, whom I spoke with when scheduling our re-key, was wonderfully friendly, helpful, and communicated clearly. Stan, the locksmith who did the work, was friendly, respectful, and very, very knowledgeable. He discussed all the work prior to starting the job, gave us several options when it came to deciding whether to replace or rekey several locks, and discussed other prudent and cost-saving home security measures with us. When we had difficulty with hardware about a month after the re-key (hardware that another company had installed), Stan came out *within 30 minutes* and fixed the issue right away, giving us a cost-efficient solution. This is a company that is invested in serving the local community. We highly recommend them!

A few days ago the hardware on my front door literally fell apart. Fortunately the dead bolt remained in tact so I could wait a few days to utilize the highly recommended services of Stan and Alki/West Seattle Key & Lock. I emailed photos of the hardware so they could match it as closely as possible. Stan arrived early to the appointment with a beautiful replacement which he expertly installed, matching the lock to the existing key so no new keys were necessary. Today ,on my way home from airport of Seattle to Coquitlam (Canada BC) I went to try to get a second key of my car.Just few minutes and few dollars and my key was ready. No problem with parking. Free parking lot just behind the business. Excellent job from very friendly people. Same thing in Canada I was sent to Diller of my car to do it. I solved problem for few minutes. Good people and convenient location .

The deadbolt on my front door failed, the key simply spun round and round.I called and Stan, the owner, came right over, assessed what I needed, climbed a ladder to enter my condo on my upper deck so he didn't have to drill the lock. Within 30 minutes he was back with a replacement deadbolt all set to work with my existing keys. And all the while, Stan was calm and competent and funny. When it came time to write the check, I thought the price was more than fair, and I was soon on my way to all the other things I needed to do that day.Five Stars - yes, perfect service at a fair price!

Stan is a LIFESAVER! I came in with a broken ignition for my car and the key stop turning for good when I was parked at the shop. I am on crutches and my car is my life right now so Stan let me keep it over night and then came in early and fixed it before the shop was even opened because he knew I needed my car. Him, and the shop, have over the top customer service and would recommend anyone to go to them!

These guys are the real deal--Friendly people who are NOT trying to rip you off when you have locked yourself out. Most of the 'locksmiths' who claim a local phone number & address are not local, give completely fabricated addresses with no storefront, and will exploit you even (especially) if you are locked out with kids...I know this from experience, unfortunately.

Alki/West Seattle Key and Lock saved me $600!!My 2001 Prius trunk wouldn't open and the lock was jammed to the side. I took it to the dealer and they said they had to go in through the back seat and remove the hybrid battery in order to get to the lock in the trunk, remove the lock, and replace it with a new lock. I'd have to leave my car for two days because they needed to order the part. $600 estimate.The genius woman at Alki/West Seattle Key & Lock looked at it and decided it could be the key was worn out and the valet lock engaged. She made me a new key for the trunk for $5,. It worked perfectly, and in less than 10 minutes I was on my way.Needless to say I love this place!
