Would give 5 stars if only you could rely on someone being at their location during posted hours. Both times there was a sorry I'm not in or will be back later note posted. According to other feedback online other customers note that you need only call and they will always come through. My problem is every time I've thought about or needed duplicate keys and stopped by, the gate was always down with no one physically there.

I locked myself out of my car on my lunch break. In 15 minutes they were there, in 6 minutes they had my car open. They are amazing, courteous, and professional and they charge a fantastic rate! Even got some laughs out of me in the meantime!

Wow! I cannot praise these guys highly enough! My bedroom door was accidentally locked with my dog inside, I called these guys (in a slight panic) and within 20 minutes of that call they arrived and had the door open and my poor dog was free! The person who I spoke to on the phone, Bob, made sure to get a quick message to the tech, Tyler, who came right away. They were both pleasant and professional. It was about $100. Hope to not need them again, but if Im ever locked out Ill definitely call them!

Rob and his business is outstanding!!!!!! I rarely write reviews, but after the consistent superior service I have received from Rob especially tonight I had to write a review. I have lived at the same appointment for 3 years. During the last 3 years, I have locked myself out of my apartment 4-5 times. Each time, I have called Rob. Each time, Rob or his employees have been prompt to respond. He has never and I mean NEVER overcharged me. Never. I had one person several years ago wanting to charge me $290 to unlock my apartment door. Rob's rates are always very customary fees. Has given me discount rate being a repeat customer. If you are locked out of your house or your car you need to call Rob's business BALLARD LOCK & KEY. He will take care of you!!!! I am an actual customer! Rob sent his employee, Aaron, out tonight. I was very grateful after being locked-out after trying to do laundry. Thank you Rob and Aaron!!!!!!!..... Michael

I am from out of town and was in a jam needing a copy of a car key. On on site staff was very helpful, got the key made, and when i found that I had also lost my wallet, told me to just come back the next time I was in town to pay for the key. Very highly recommended for prompt help and service above and beyond.

I have never dealt with a company so utterly unprofessional as this one. The guy they sent out to fix my key fob was the most condescending & rude person that i have ever dealt with in my entire life. He literally talked over me the entire time on the phone and when he arrived he was so much worse. The discrimination i received from this person was absolutely horrible & humiliating. I won't go into detail at the moment because i am so full of disgust and anger with the way in which i was treated and am still trying to process it all.This company's complete lack of integrity is absolutely second to none. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau tomorrow for discrimination and will also be contacting my lawyer. No one should ever have to be treated the way in which this company treated me today.

My wife and I locked ourselves out of the house in the pouring rain with our 2 year old inside. As we were both outside freaking out I looked on Google for locksmiths close to me and Ballard Lock and Key came up. Called and Bobby answered the phone. He was super friendly and offered to leave his other job to get here quicker. Within 15 minutes he arrived at our place and within 5 minutes he had the door open. Cant say enough good things about Bobby and Ballard Lock and Key, thanks for such great service!

This is a late review but I think about this moment often and am so grateful for Ballard lock and key! This past spring I got locked outside of my house with my 4 month old inside. I borrowed a strangers phone from the street and called Ballard lock and key frantically. The locksmith diverted, sped to my house and unlocked my door in less than 10 minutes (I wish I remembered his name). There were no other safe options (high windows) to enter the house. I am eternally grateful!

I called Bob earlier this morning and needed to have a key done at our residence for a vehicle as early as possible today. He was able to get a technician out there within a couple of hours and get the key made. We had a little miscommunication about what the final price was. They were unable to key the second lock because of time constraints so they agreed not to charge me at the time of service. Bob agreed to come back out and get the second lock keyed as soon as we could get it on the schedule. Justin with Just Cars Advanced Locks came out to do the work and did a great job. I highly recommend this company and will do business with them again in the future. Thank you Bob and Justin.

My vehicle's key was lost, long story. I had a spare key that would unlock the doors, but not start the engine, because it was not programed. I thought it was going to be a big deal, that I would be expensive and take a bunch of time. I called Bob at Ballard Lock and Key, and they two very professional and nice guys at my location later that day. About 10 minutes later they handed me a working key! I couldn't believe it. I don't know how much time and money they saved me over calling the dealership, but I know it was a lot! Thank you so much for making what I thought would be a very stressful and time-consuming problem something that I barely noticed! Hopefully I never loose my vehicle keys again, but if I do, or if I need another one made, I am calling Ballard Lock and Key!

Called in a few weeks ago to see if my key fob could be programmed. I was told yep, no problem, come in to the shop during open hours and it will take 30 minutes and weve got all the things we need to do it. Price was reasonable. My husband called last week and got vastly different answers, so I just came in to see what would happen. No computer to do the programming, person wasnt even sure if it could be done, etc. Large waste of time.Update 9/3/19 in response to the owners comment: I am quite sure it was here. What kind of back handed apology is that? Thanks anyway.

Bob consulted quickly and efficiently over phone and text to determine a fix that would work well with our home and our lifestyle. Erik arrived within the hour with all the necessary parts and even a handheld vacuum for clean-up. Within two hours, our door woes were solved. Before leaving on a large motorcycle trip, I wanted to get a couple of spare keys made. They happened to have the right key on hand and were able to crank out a couple copies immediately! Initially I tried them and they were just a little tight so the owner came down to the motorcycle, made some very skilled adjustments and that did the trick. Thanks so much!!! 100% would recommend!

Honest and FAST!! I locked my keys in my car at a random bar in Ballard and I was so bummed cuz I thought it would ruin the night... But nope! I called Ballard lock & key and they answered on the first ring, said he could be there in 20 min, and told me he was leaving right then and to text him the address! Then I was able to go have a drink while I waited for him and he called 1 min before he arrived. Took him 2 min to get my car opened. He was really nice and didn't overcharge me! Wish I could rate higher than 5 stars! Locked out because of a troublesome old school lock, and Bob guided me step by step over the phone. I can not rave more about Ballard Lock & Key. I called on a Sunday afternoon after my security door lock on my house broke. I thought I was going to have to replace both locks so my front and back door would still only need one key. Not only was he was able to fix it quickly. Even made me some better keys. Then later that evening I got a call that my office was broken into. It was late and they broke the lock on that door. He came down and saved the day for a second time!!!! He was able to change the lock for us and make new keys too. We would have had to stay all night if it wasnt for him. A+++++
