Today I brought in a lock that had stopped working. As I let the lock out of the bag Broadway Locksmiths were watching and one immediately remarked to the other: 'Graphite falling out!' All the graphite was cleaned out and the lock oiled with the appropriate lock lubricating oil. The new key I had had made some time ago for this lock now worked perfectly again . I was out the door without any additional charge. Broadway Locksmith: Service you can count on!

The best place to go to have keys made. Been going there for over 30 years. While you wait, you will be tempted to buy everything else in the store. Vintage to new knobs, keys, safes, you name. It's almost like being in a museum in their small storefront. Fun.

Came out of their normal service area, and it was after hours.Ken went HUGELY above and beyond. Did a repair job not included in job he came to do. And checked other locks as well to confirm that they were in good working order. Extremely reasonable rate, especially when compared to other locksmiths. No additional charge for after hours. Fantastic all-around. And, they are local. A total win-win. I have referred this company to many people.

Ken is our family's superhero! I called him after hours because I couldn't get into the locked ADT cabinet when my toddler managed to arm the alarm system and we couldn't move or open doors without ear-splitting siren noises, making my toddler cry and ask non-stop if our house was burning down or a robber was in the house. Ken came out, CALLED ADT on our behalf, opened the cabinet, disconnected power sources to the alarm, and refused to take money when I kept asking if I could pay. This kind of generosity and grace is just so rare these days. Ken is a gem!

I took a very small problem to these guys and expected to be chuckled at and pay a fee. I mean, I locked a music box and lost the key. Why'd I even lock it? Why can't I use a bobby pin and jiggle it open? They treated me with courtesy, fixed my problem in about 3 seconds, and didn't charge me. Kind, proficient, and professional. Literally no problem too small.

I came home at about 11:00PM - I had my keys and could open my deadlock, but could not open my doorhandle. I tried for about 20 minutes every which way (jiggling the knob, pushing in, lifting up etc.). The first 24 hour locksmith my landlord recommended was super patronizing and insisted I had the wrong key even though I insisted I didn't. The second one couldn't get a hold of their technician for an hour. So finally I called Broadway and wish I had right away! The man I worked with was so friendly, got there fast and explained to me in detail what was wrong and what to tell my landlord. If it happens again I will 100% be calling them first. I wish I remembered his name, but if any of managers read this - it was a man working on Tuesday night May 7th at about midnight/1AM - he was awesome!

Awesome, no BS service and help with your lock needs. I went in needing to cut a car key with a transponder (I already had the transponder part), and they cut the key to work for $45. Saved me a heap of money over the rip off Honda dealers who were charging me $100 or more. Thanks guys!

Super nice guys. I needed them to make a copy of a housekey, but the first key they made didn't work (they were making a copy of a copy, and it looked right to me). When I came back, they made me three more copies with slight variations each so that one of them would work. Super helpful.

My mortise latch/lock finally died (probably 90 -100 years old) - multiple problems made it unusable. I called Broadway locksmith and Bjorn came over a few hours later (as scheduled). He quickly removed lock, and analyzed the problems. The lock had multiple broken and/or worn parts that affected locking and proper operation of the door knob latch and locking. He took the mortise mechanism back to the shop to see if he had replacement parts, rather than full replacement - they DID. Since broken mortise latch/lock used different keys than deadbolt, he converted so all exterior locks deadbolts and latches used the SAME KEY.I AM SO HAPPY. I should have called them 20 years ago, when things started degrading. Highest recommendation from me. Thanks, Bjorn!!(And if you see this same review on other sites, I am a real person on E Boston St, and want to concur to their high ratings - They deserve it !! )

Just tried bringing my car to Broadway Locksmith to get a lock looked at and was sorely disappointed with their complete lack of customer service and communication.Initially, I called asking if they could look at my car lock and was happy to hear I could bring it in right away and park in the lot. Upon arriving, the lot was full and I parked down the street. When I entered and asked for help, the owner said 'of course', instructing me to wait just a minute while they moved a car and I could take the spot. He also mentioned that '[he] was going on a call in a little bit, but there was definitely someone who could take a look once I was in the lot'. So I went back to my car, parked in the lot, and went back inside the shop.Then I sat for 30 minutes without a word from anyone. Finally, a new customer entered the shop - his arrival announced by the door ringing - and a worker asked him what he needed. Immediately, I spoke up and asked the worker what was going on, as I had been told whoever was in the shop would take a look at my lock. He responded saying, 'oh well I'm the only person here so I have to work the counter, sorry you will have to come back later this week'. I was not helped and had to leave the store, after spending over an hour total travelling there and waiting for someone to help. I get it, there can be alot of confusion in the shop when people are going out for calls. But someone could have easily looked at the schedule and said that to me waaay earlier, preventing me from making the drive to the shop and having to wait so long. Or instructed someone else that I needed help.I have no problem coming back later, but it will definitely not be at this establishment, very displeased.
