My experience overall was smooth. When I arrived , the man who helped me was kind of busy. He was attentive and asked me to wait a few minutes, I did appreciate that. He frequently checked in with me. I came here with a problem, I have a used car and I needed a copy of a key. I tried plenty of other places with keys that just did not work. Every key copy only opened the driver side door and didn't turn the ignition. I came to see a locksmith to see what the difference might be. Well he was very experienced and knew the problem right away he made me a key that worked immediately!!!! I would highly recommend you come here.

This guy is crazy, he wanted to charge me $40 to cut 2 blank keys I had brought in. If you had to program the keys fine but these keys did not have a chip. Got my keys cut at Kokos locksmith in Glendale for $5 each. Save your self some money and go to a different locksmith.

So impressed and fortunate to have Joseph from JP Locksmith take care of our needs. Joseph is quick to respond (within 30 mins) and arrived at the house to supply and program new fobs. Not only was he quick, but very professional, and has high expertise in auto mechanics, but also his prices were very reasonable compared to same service from nearby locksmiths. Lost my keys, Toyota dealership wanted to racket me, this guys made me two keys for a decent price...Full story : I thought the dealership were there to service their clients, I guess I was wrong ! They wanted to charge me $250 for the key AND $300 for programming it. Lets be real here, the cost of the key is probably $1 for the dealership that buy it in bulk. Let say $10 to be conservative. So theyre making over $500 profit for a 30 min job !The locksmith Im sure have to pay more for the part and manage to charge half and make a comfortable living... I love Toyota but this leave me a sour taste !Next car will be a Tesla :)

I drove from Redondo Beach to south San Diego to have a key cut and remote programmed at The Key Crew. On my way there, I received a telephone call to reschedule my visit. I replied that I could not as I was already en route. Their prices were very high but, albeit, lower than the dealer. It took an inordinate amount of time over two hours to address my issues and even then, it was not fully addressed because my remote which was 'certified' for the car year in question could not be programmed. Moreover I sensed that the locksmith work load was back up and he did not want to spend more time trying to resolve the apparent issue. The key, using my own blank, cost $150.On my return to LA, in exasperation, I began to look about for an entity to program my remote. I found one in Glendale, CA, JP Locksmith (Automotive Specialist). I spoke to the owner and we agreed on a price to program the remote. I said I would bring the car in next week. This gave me an opportunity to research other sources in the meantime. In our conversation, he mentioned that he was open until 8:00 PM. His Internet info. said he closed at 6:00 PM. I then called him back to double check his closing time. It was 8: o'clock. I then decided to brave the downtown LA peak hour traffic and drive to Glendale. He immediately concluded that the battery in my new remote was probably defective. He pointed out an issue with my remote and decided to use a stock remote he had. It worked immediately. He tested it and had me test it, too. All done in 10 to 15 mins. I tried to negotiate his price but he would not budge because he had thrown in his own remote at no cost above the original quote. Who can blame him for that.The Key Cut Crew charges $114. for a $10 remote. JP Locksmith used a common sense approach to pricing. The need for them to make a living and the need for the customer to feel that pricing is commensurate with a garage hourly rate for specialist knowledge plus parts and, thus, what is reasonable for the job. All I can say is that JP Locksmith did a remarkable job. They earned every penny they charged. How could I not give them a five star rating.

Go here if you need a new key fob and want to avoid paying dealer prices ! Joseph was quick to call me back and even traveled to my inoperable car to assess the problem and gave me options according to my budget. He was friendly, professional, and fast and a fraction of the price that the dealers had quoted. His price included the key cut, transponder and programming. I Highly recommend him!

I had one mechanic before try to charge me to diagnose a basic electrical issue involving my keys without even fixing it, but this guy...he was knowledgeable, on time, knew his stuff, and cut me a great deal and literally fixed my finicky 2001 Volkswagen that wouldn't start and reprogrammed my keys in 10 minutes . Call this dude! The VW dealership told me I'd have to get it towed and then pay over a hundred dollars to get the system back in order. JP came right to my driveway on a Saturday and saved me hundreds of dollars in towing and VW dealer BS. Thanks JP Locksmith!!!!
