I have 2 old Coca-Cola Vendo change machines from the 50's that did not have keys. I went to Baker's and they were able to figure out one of the machine's locks that had been changed internally and made me a key. They made a key from the code on the other machine's lock very quickly. It's nice having an old-school locksmith who has been in the business a long time and knows his stuff. John is a very nice guy too. I enjoyed talking with him. Thanks Baker's Lock & Key.

Outstanding customer service at a very reasonable price. They managed to unstick the tumbler on my lock box in just a few minutes. The price was only $20 and that is over $100 less than many other locksmiths wanted to charge. This establishment has my highest recommendation.

The owner is Gentleman who answered my call during cov-19 time. He answered my specific questions with honesty after I called several locksmiths who were closed or very rude. After grinding 4 keys, I came back made a separate transaction for emergency garage door pull/latch so when the power is off you can get into a garage with this unlatch kit. He had one stock and was fair with me on the price. Thank you Baker Locks, you helped me out immensely during a tough time.

Baker's lock & key is the hands down the place everyone goes for lock and key what every you need! In a nutshell I travel 25 miles to Baker's. If I had to drive more than 25 miles? Well... With out a doubt hop in my truck and ease on down the road to Baker's lock and key! Awesome service!

This is the best place in town to get your keys made. They always work perfectly. Try the hardware store, and your keys may or may not work, or may not work well. I was disappointed that they eliminated Saturday hours, though!

Quick, professional, and friendly service. Went in to get a door handle re-keyed and a duplicate key. Got there at 5:00pm and I was out the door at 5:15pm. One of the few locksmiths that has an actual shop AND open past 5:00pm. Definitely worth it especially considering that I live in East San Jose. Thanks again.

Great shop located on Union Ave; I've been going there for years. Great service, old-time 'get the job done' attitude. Purchased a storage cabinet lately with a locked top but I didn't have the key. While I waited, owner made a key for me based on his knowledge of the lock type and the key number on the lock. Worked perfectly. I won't go anywhere else.

I lost my motorcycle key and contacted Bakers for help. Owner was/is so professional on phone call and he helped me to look for any key code if available on my bike. He then sent a guy to help mp me make a key. I cant remember his name but that guy spent about 2 hours trying to make key. He was successful in making gas cap key but not ignition key. He then offered me to keep gas cap key to give it to next guy he recommended who helped me with the key. At the end of the day, even for 2 hours of their service, they did not charge me anything, stayed professional and were nice enough to help me out thru this. I will go back to them in future if i have to for any lock & key business.

The service was good but the price is quite high. The person came in to change a bedroom lock for 10 minutes, and they charged $90 for home visit, $45 for labor and $89 for a lock (excl. tongue). The lock box had no brand name, and a comparable style sold for around $15-44 in Home Depot. This shop helped me 2 times and I am generally happy, but would not recommend due to value.

I got referred here by a friend because I was trying to figure out how to get copies of my new locking gas cap key.This is exactly what you would expect from a professional lock and key shop. They have a wall filled with every kind of key blank you can possibly imagine. The place is filled with different kinds of lock assemblies and other locking and security hardware, and the people behind the counter clearly know exactly what they are doing.They were very friendly, I was treated professionally, they took care of me quickly, and they did the job right.If you have any kind of lock or key need, this is the place to go.

Another 5-star review for Baker's Lock & Key. These guys are what you would get if you crossed a Surgeon with a Magician and a Locksmith. Seriously, I lost the only set of keys I had to my motorcycle. They knocked out an ignition key, that was not even a challenge for them. But, the gas cap was not only a custom cap on a custom tank from Germany, but the cylinder was buggered up due to prying with a screwdriver in the keyhole to get the cap assembly loose from the tank after removing all the screws. So they basically had to figure out how to disassemble the assembly, fix the buggered-up components in the lock cylinder, and then make a custom key from the closest blank they could find. And they did this all while I waited, for a VERY fair price. Can't thank them enough, they saved the day for me. I will continue to pay their prices for duplicate keys...yes they are way more than Home Depot or whomever, but listen folks, these guys are good ol' fashioned lock experts. Pay the lousy couple extra bucks for keys so they can stay in business. Because when you make a BIG mistake like I did, you will count your blessings that you have guys like these around to save your butt. They saved mine.

My front door handle was loose so I had them come out and fix it. Repair cost seemed reasonable and I was happy with my service. Then when my husband tried the door after they'd already left he wasn't satisfied with the way it opened from the outside so we called them and they happily came back and worked on it for quite some time until we were happy. Really great customer service and I would highly recommend them.

Excellent, very professional. I called them this morning because I locked my keys inside my apartment they did not have anybody available but I was told they will call me once one of their technicians will become available. Since I was at work I do not mind waiting at all when one of them became available I have received a phone call saying one of the technicians available and he can meet me at my apartment, very friendly technician was already waiting for me when I and help me immediately, he was very professional and knowledgeable I would recommend this company to anybody

Lost my car key i googled car locksmith and found this locksmith so i went there and i was greeted nicely. I told mr. Baker that i lost my car key and they qouted me a fair price. They told me that if i take off the trunk lock cylinder its easier for them to do the key. So came back and they made me a key for less than 20mins and the key works like the charm. I would highly recommend to go there if you ever lost your car key as long it doesnt have the chip on the key they could do it.

Do not contact this company. they will rip you off and and their service is awful! They mentioned over the phone it'd cost 35$ to unlock a front door, and might vary depending on how difficult it's to open, it took the them, literally 90 seconds, but argued that it was a 'difficult' lock, and charged 120$. BE AWARE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.

I would like to recommend this very professional, fast and friendly service. I called several local san jose 'locksmith' services before just to get a price estimate to make keys for my new lock core + adjust another old lock core for a new keys and all of them been very rude and pushy to get my address first and come to my house to fix it as an emergency which I never asked. But this 'Baker's Lock & Key' been very nice and explained me all their prices and what they can do. When I brought all my keys and lock cores to them - they did it during 10 minutes ! and the price was very reasonable ! I highly recommend their store and service for everybody who needs any type of key/locks work ! 5+ STARS service !

Dealt with them today. 1) have a store front (so are 'legitimate' not a 'mobile fraud'. 2) Price was VERY reasonable to rekey a new Emtek lock for our new entry door ($18.00 whereas the cheapest mobile company was $15 service charge and minimum $35 to rekey... I took the new lock cylinder to their store). 3) service was 'immediate', took about 3 minutes and was done right. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE FOLKS
