Our Jeep had a nail in the tire as we came back from Red and White Mountain. We bought a patch kit that gave us problems but the owner came out with a professional patch kit and took care of it for us. He also hooked us up with free air and a car wash which was greatly appreciated!

Store is small but full of stuff ,not to full till you feel like it's overbearing. Doesn't look like they would have a bathroom but they do , and it was actually well kept. Not to bad for locally owned

Our truck broke down hauling a camper and not only did the owner, Darren, come to our rescue and tow our truck, but he came back and moved our camper to a beautiful spot. Darren was so kind to us he even checked on us several times and brought us provisions while we waited for our truck to be fixed. Ive had to use tow companies in the past, but West Vail Shell towing is a rare find.

I travel a lot. About a year ago ran into a tire issue in Vail.If you are not a local you can get screwed in mountain towns. The owner hooked me up with a patch at no charge and didn't try any upsellA year later im in Vail need gas.Went past a Conoco an RT 66 to go here.Bonus the owner came out and did my windows

Daily customer here Best service in Vail Valley by far!! From Eagle to Frisco. Customer service is wonderful, warm, and friendly. Hottest water of any gas station or coffee shop around, and they always have the coffee ready. Your two regular female employees (early morning and afternoons) are amazing, and definitely make a difference for your store.

Sean Kline is a lifesaver! He came out to Edwards to help with my friends Subaru hybrid that was completely dead. After towing the car to.safe spot he opened the hood and within 10 minutes had figured out the problem and fixed it, saving untold hundreds of dollars of auto mechanic work. Sean is friendly, professional and if he opens his own business I'll be his first customer.

I loved this guy!! It was late late when they had to come tow my car and the came up with a calm attitude. He was cool the way talked with us about his dog and just kinda helped me calm down. Would recommend them 100 times over!!! Whoever worked the night of 1/10/20 waa amazing!

My Dad and I were driving back from the Shaw Cancer Center in Edwards and we ended up stopping here in Vail because my car would stop accelerating (and eventually die) while we were driving on I-70. Darren saw us with my car hood up and came over to see if we were okay. We told him we thought my transmission fluid was probably low. He told me to come inside and he'd help us get some from his shop. Darren ended up filling the transmission fluid for us @ no charge, and even gave us his cell phone number to call him if we got stranded on our way back to Summit. My car ended up dying 5 or 6 times on I-70 and I kept having to pull over to let it rest, but we eventually made it to Summit. Meanwhile, Darren called us 3 times to check and see how we were doing and said he was on his way to Summit as well, so he could tow us if needed. Darren was an incredibly kind man who went out of his way when he didn't need to, and we will forever appreciate his kindness!! THANK YOU!

The gentleman working the shift on 12/1/19 at 8:30pm was really nice. We were very impressed with how helpful he was. We were having issues with low tire pressure and he helped as much as he could. This store was the only place that had air in Vail and it was free. We were driving back from Utah so the free air was very helpful. Thank you we will be stopping here every time we drive this direction from now on.

Cashier was rude and unprofessional. I walk in and see a sign pointing to the restroom, with the cashier saying its in the back. My thought was the back of the store not behind it. the door I find has a unisex sign indicating its for both genders and instead of politely saying its the womens the cashier rudely barks down my throat that its the wrong door.

Darin was a godsend to me. I am from Chicago and I was trying to get back home from Salt Lake City and had detoured stupidly when I80 was closed due to unexpected winter storms last month. My car is little and my tires aren't great and after 2 incredibly stressful days of isolated snowy icy mountain roads, my car slid off around a curve and down into the bushes about 5 feet below. After being rescued and towed out, I made it to the West Vail Shell. I was terrified about driving through the Vail Pass without chains. Darin was incredibly sensitive to my trauma and to me. He totally reassured me in a way that made me cry and still makes me cry. He showed me what all the passes still to come looked like in real time. They weren't that snowy and icy at that point and he told me to just stay on the black lines. He didn't think I would need the chains and I drove the rest of the way saying to myself over and over, 'just stay on the black lines.' Well I lived to tell about it and to say to you that some of the nicest people I've ever encountered were the ones that helped me out on this harrowing drive home. Thank you Darin! :)

Shaun came & found us on the side of the road & changed my flat tire so fast it made my head spin!He knew how to get my spare down & even loaded my flat tire for me. He recommended I get air in the spare, it was just a little low. He was very nice & told me of all the local places that could repair the tire in the morning. This was at 8:30pm on a Sunday night!! What a great service! Thank you so much!!

I had a unfortunate experience with them. I wont be back. I called them to tow my car to their station. When I called to see if it was ready they said yes, come pick it up. When I got to the station they told me they towed it to Leadville (really!). No apology. Just yelled at me for expecting it to be there. I do not recommend this station.

Chris the GM was very caring and had lots of compassion. I am a front end manager at city market in Glenwood springs Colorado. And let me tell you I know customer service and vmbi golly CHRIS HAS IT. he is the total package. My car broke down on the vail pass and chris was very sweet and I liked his sense of humor especially in a bad time he made me forget about my problems with my car. KEEP IT UP YALL!!!

My car was sitting at my house with a flat tire. Without me being home, Darin filled my tire with air and checked to make sure there wasn't any damage. The next day I received a call from Darin asking if everything was good and if I needed anything else. He also offered some suggestions of where I could go to get the tired patched and said I could call with any questions. Great quick service and peace of mind. Thank you!

Darin was great, I had a low tire and he immediately stopped what he was doing to help. He looked at all my tires, gave me a quick lesson on tire safety and proper inflation and got me safely back on the road . My husband and I where moving from KY to NV driving with our two children and a big 26ft Penske truck. We needed diesel fuel so we stopped here. A man came outside and helped my husband maneuver the truck to get fuel then also helped him back out when leaving! The truck was a little too big for the parking lot but because that man helped us he made our trip so much less stressful! I really appreciate it very much!!! This is by far my most favorite gas station for their willingness to help when it was needed!

I called my roadside assistance through my state farm and they sent this local company in vail. A young man just came right away to give me a jump start with the jump box thingy. He was so kind & sweet very tall red headed man with a neat hat thanks a bunch!! I forgot you're name I'm so sorry!

After breaking down a few miles away from this store right before the snow hit, I had the pleasure of meeting Officer Briggs who pointed me to this shell station. Not only did they help me get my truck off the side of the road with a deal I couldnt refuse but they really took care of my piece of mind. Rick is an absolute live saver and everyone who works here from mechanics to store clerks to management, everyone treats you like family and truely tries their best to help out. I needed roadside assistance one evening and my insurance put me in touch with this service station. This used to be my local place to get gas and I knew right away who I was talking to. Usually a friendly face who asks how my day is going, Dan was inpatient and patronizing during what was already a scary time being on the side of 70 with an 8ft shoulder. When trying to figure out where exactly my car was, Dan thought he needed to explain what mile markers are and tried telling me hed call me back once I knew I had everything I needed for them to come change my tire. I had to loudly interrupt him to tell him I know my vehicle and had a good general idea of where I was. Thankfully the man who showed up 45 minutes later to fix my tire was very kind, helpful and made up for the previous behavior. My husband and I no longer support this service station.

stuck on the pass at 4am and a driver (I feel really bad for not remembering his name; I was tired AF in my defense ) responded very quickly. I was having some severe anxiety over the whole situation but he was amazing, cracked jokes, gave us some advice, and got us back down the mountain safely.. Great experience from everyone that works there! Thanks for saving our frozen butts and letting us chill in the parking lot while we came up with a game plan! If and when I ever try that during winter months again, I will be extremely more prepared thanks to all the help I received this morning and will always stop here to fill up!

Had a difficult situation involving a low clearance parking garage towing. They were far more responsive than every other towing service available. Would have given more stars if they hadn't had a tow truck break down one day, and a driver issue the next. Their dispatcher Lauren was fantastic, professional, polite, and informative.

This tow company is the bomb diggity!! Brandon helped my girlfriend and I off the mountain and we were stranded off I-70 in the curves up on vail pass. it was so dangerous where we were but he acted like it was nothing, hooked the chains to the car and we were outa there!! Took him only 15 minutes to get to us after we called aaa west vail shell to the rescue! Thanks again Brandon

Eagle county is known to tax ones wallet but these guys are especially good at it. I asked to have my vehicle towed by them through aaa. They said sure. I was charged a aaa fee, plus another 232 and had an air compressor an tools stolen as they kept my vehicle in their yard instead of towing immediately as they were contracted to do. I was also charged for storage in an unsafe area when it was not supposed to be stored. Finally upon recieving my vehicle it was already in full throttle and has probably blown the engine...in short...sketchy!!!!
