I was having issues removing an existing lockset from an exterior door and had gotten $100+ quotes from multiple locksmiths in the area to complete the job. Upon calling Jim and explaining my issue, he asked me to send a couple pictures of the lockset via text and offered to walk me through the fix over the phone. Within five minutes, the issue was resolved and Jim didn't charge me a dime. Had an issue with a family safe early on a Saturday morning. Left a voicemail for Jim at 7:30am and received a personal text from him by 8:00am. On his way to a job, Jim examined a series of pictures I sent him and walked me through a process to fix the issue, free of charge. We called Jim to help out with our front door lock. He asked us to text him photos of the lock so he could send a quote. We texted to the wrong number. 30 minutes later when he still hadn't received the photos (we said we'd send the right away), he called to ask if we still needed his services. We were very grateful since we would never had realized our error. Jim asked if he could come right over and we were thrilled. Jim is a very nice guy. He was efficient, concerned about keeping our property clean as he worked, fixed our lock in under 30 minutes, and charged exactly what he initially quoted. We had an issue with our hallway door locking system.. then we called a guy suggested by our apt superintendent he told me that it has to be replaced and it costs $650. I asked him if he can reduce little he told NO. Then I called Jim, he asked me to send the pics and gave the quote of $260 for repair ... he came with in hour and repaired it... also he made 4 keys for free ...Jim was great Awesome service thanks a lot!!!

Jim was prompt (he actually arrived before I did!) and professional. The price he quoted me over the phone is exactly what I paid (plus tax, but that's a given), plus he did a little extra and fixed the door jamb because of a missing strike plate that I didn't even realize was causing issues!! And the cost wasn't bad at all to begin with. He was polite and efficient and my door is now working better than it ever has before! Jim and his son Patrick showed up at my parents house of which my brother and myself bought my parents new dead bolts and locks for all the doors. Both Jim and Patrick re-keyed existing locks and installed the dead bolts. They did a fantastic job, had great conversation with both while they were here the whole time. Patrick actually even fixed an existing 30+ year old door handle inside the house for no extra cost. Was a great experience and I tipped them well for their services. Highly suggest these folks for ANY locksmith service.

Jim, the owner, called back within the hour and met us at our property 10 minutes later. He was super nice, and got the job done quickly and professionally, at a reasonable price. Called A1 (Jim) via a random internet search for Stamford locksmith and he was the first to answer the phone. Very professional. After going thru various detailed questions on phone as well as exchanging texts/photos/measurements of the old Baldwin mortise lock we have on our front house door (plus other door drilling and passage handle install we needed done), Jim came back shortly after to give me a price, parts specs, and thankfully a same day install window. He & his son were right on time. Install was quick, he cleaned up with shop vac and left no mess or bits of materials here & there. Price was exactly as quoted, no upcharge or unexpected 'extras.' With good tradesmen who know their business, you get what you pay for: years of experience and the tools, supplies and product in stock (as in, it's right in the van) to get the job done.
