You know when you found a great locksmith, great service and quality products. Bought a programmable key for a Subaru, about a quarter on the price the dealer wanted, it was completed in minutes while I waited. I also asked for help to re-key a lock cylinder. They help me out for free and did on minutes.

Honestly this business is usually great, they can find you whatever you need and their installations are decent. The owner, Kurt, just needs to take anger management classes, maybe meditate, idk. There is no reason to take things personal and go off on a customer standing at your counter asking for help, regardless of whether said customer was GIVEN (did NOT BUY) a part from a different company, a company that isn't exactly a competitor (Unless Discount Lock is installing entire storefront doors now).I have dealt with Kurt for years and always try to walk on eggshells due to his belligerent attitude which he has unleashed on me before because he's been upset at other people from my company or for whatever reason. He can be cool, he can also be very unprofessional, rude and hostile. Today was his last time treating me with such disrespect. I am embarrassed for his staff and the other customers who witnessed his behavior today.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I called at 4:00PM about an entrance door lock problem. Curt tried to help me through a fix but we definitely needed onsite help. His son Curtis was close by and arrived in the blue van and went right to work. More work than we anticipated. Curtis replaced internal parts and did not see the need to sell us a new complete door knob set. Great Job. Professional family run business. Thank you, Curt and Curtis!

I will be going to Discount Lock & Key for any keys that need made going forward and have told my family about the wonderful customer service that I received as well. After going to 2 different Home Depot's and once to Lowe's, they weren't able to correctly make a copy of my mailbox key. One trip to Discount Lock & Key and it was a perfect match for the same price as those big box stores. Keep in mind that it's great to support local when possible and I didn't think to do so until I started to figure out where I could go to get a key made that worked. These men were my life savers!!!! I went to discount lock & key last week to get a new copy of my PT cruiser key. I originally called my car dealership to get a new key and key fob since my key broke off the key fob. Chrysler wanted to charge me $285 for a new key fob/key!! HOW OUTRAGEOUS! I just recently moved into a new place and was worried on how I was going to come up with that money. I initially went to Home Depot and they could not read my key nor fix it. They did try, which I appreciated, but still failed. I discovered this place through google and boy am I THANKFUL! These men gave me a new key and KEY FOB!! I was shocked that they even had key fobs!! It worked beautifully and looked newer than ever! These men worked so hard on this key and kept trying until it worked. I'm so thankful for them! THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!!! I'm forever thankful/ blessed. I SUPPORT!!!
