Rude as hell service, I don't know if it's because I'm young but I work in hospitality and they spoke rude, disrespectfully and talked down to me. Told me they could have my order ready in two days then turned into four. If I could give three negative stars I would for the way I was treated.

Originally, when I went to Koons, I had a motorcycle key created from a code (Lost main key). Koons is about a 45 minute drive from my house, but they are one of the few that would create a key for me.I got home with the new key, it didn't work. The key wasn't long enough, so I grinded the handle a bit hoping that the cut itself is right and just wouldn't go in the ignition all the way, but it still failed. I wasn't really happy considering the long drive and having to do it a second time.After having talked with them and Stan for a while, I sent over my key code and what model key I needed from the manufacturer and they made 2 free keys for me. I could only come by on the weekends because of my work, but I showed up on Saturday and they had those 2 keys sitting for me. I took them home and the bike started right away.Stan took care of my issues and would recommend Koons for any kind of locksmith services you may need.TL:DRHad Koons make me a key, it didn't work. Having called them, they created me 2 keys for free and those worked.Thanks Koons,Justen

I would love to share the good report that I had an awesome experience with John A. Koon Locksmith on Halloween Night. Safe all fixed which is a great relief as travel documents were inside and I need them soon for a up trip.The safe itself was purchased at Koons and installed by the company. Decent overall experience. Had a spare car key made and they were able to make it quickly and it worked. The guy that helped me, however, acted like I was inconveniencing him the entire time and was just poor at customer service. I will say that the rest of the staff there seemed very kind, seems I just got the one guy that was in a bad mood. Aside from him, the place is professional and well run.

I called three times and asked for service, I was asked to send pictures of the lock which I did no response from the person who asked to get the pictures. I texted him again 4 days later And still no response. So I called again today to try to get a hold of the person I spoke to I was informed weve been super busy, I mustve forgotten about it. I made several attempts to give business to Koons very disappointed with the service. I asked for a deal since I was the person making all of the effort but no deal. The person I spoke with said he was related to the owner Im sure the owner would not be very happy if he found out that I was just put on the back burner.

WoW. Literally walked in the door and the man at the counter basically screamed at me for not knowing their protocol. I was very taken back and actually stood there in disbelief. Then he furthered the insulting behavior by saying I have a lot of work to do. Im literally still in disbelief and shock I would definitely recommend using another service... probably any other service. From the response I got below, I would suggest you REVIEW of any cameras in the building if you have them... the you will actually who was SMILING when they walked in the door... I was simply coming in to get a copy of a key, and basically was attacked by a man viciously sayingHe had a lot of work to do, implying I was a nuisance. Best of luck in 40+ more years, but unless something changes I seriously doubt it.

As a Google contributor I was more than impressed with the curt professional servicei received from Gary. Throughout the time I woke up I knew it was going to be a challenge to find a replacement key for my 1997 900 se. Saab security keys for this year required a special key and method to transact a newly fabricated key. Gary got it done in 20 minutes once I showed proper documentation. A joke.They spent an hour making a new key for my car that doesn't even work on the door.They gave me some lame excuse about the previous key being 'worn down so it fits better'. When I listened in to them talking about it it sounded more like 'we don't know how to cut right on this new machine'They still charged me over 100 for a key that doesn't work.Would not recommend unless you want time and money wasted.
