I dunno what the guy complaining with a 2 star rating is talking about.. Les is the stand up guy you want to depend on. There is no doubt about that. First, I called him. He was willing to drive to Marathon from Key West. But he told me to just go to the hardware store and get a drill and some bits ($80). I drilled out the lock but the latch bar broke inside the latch slot. Nothing to see and nothing to grab on to. So I had to drill the whole housing out. Then drill a sideways hole in the latch bar to have something to hold onto. If it wasn't for the advice Les gave me for free, then I would have never have had the guts to drill it that much.But I did give up.. after 50 holes and 2 hours.. I just couldn't see anything to grab to. So I called Les, he took my credit card and scheduled the work. I kept drilling and finally got the door open. I immediately called Les and since he hadn't charged my card yet or started this way.. he cancelled it for free.I told him to charge me $20 and I'll buy lunch.Just for the record, I called 4 or 5 RV shops, goodsam, my warranty Protective, my uncle, and anyone else I could think of. I had no help down here in Key West.. the RV guy works from 9AM-2PM..So to repeat, if you need to depend on someone, I'd say Les is the only one in Key West I'd bet on.Thanks Les..

$175 yes $175 to unlock my car. I have manual locks. I knew the price would be high but I didn't think it would be this unreasonable. It took 5 minutes to complete. Maybe 6 or 7. It is a 35-40 minute drive from Key West to my house in Big Pine Key. What would that be in gas-$5? $10? It was 8 p.m. Do only rich people accidentally lock their keys in their car?? We are hurting so bad financially because of the COVID19 closures and I am pregnant. They know, just don't care. But what else could I do? They knew I had no other option.I accepted the price because we tried to call any other company and no one was open. I literally had no other choice but to damage my car as the owner said. A round trip at 8pm? Maybe and hour and 15 min.? I had to accept the price if I wanted to drive my car to work in the morning. It was an accident. I locked my keys in my car. How could I choose to damage my vehicle to get them out? I just wanted a reasonable price. I don't see how there was any other reasonable alternative. $175 is higher than my electric bill. Higher than my cable bill. I have driven to Key West and back before. It's not that much skin off your back. The job took 5 minutes. $175 is astronomical. There wasn't another option: I tried. I guess it's being suggested that I just should have broken my own vehicle to get them?

Great Service!!!! Les got in contact with me very promptly after I messaged him though his website that I needed to have a key fob programed and key cut for my minivan. He had a full day scheduled but he squeezed me and I drove to his office and within 20 minutes or so I was good to go. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

I was extremely surprised at the rudeness I experienced from Les over the phone when I attempted to obtain my keys. My husband missed his text by 10 minutes and he left with our keys instead of walking upstairs to our office where we were (of which he had been informed). When I called to try and rectify the situation and arrange for a pick up or drop off, he would not give me a straight answer until after he had vented enough about how inconvenienced he was by waiting 10 minutes on my husband. Even when I informed him that he had the only key to my car he still wouldn't budge. The keys do work and he is one of the only locksmiths in town who can create key fobs so 2 stars for at least completing the job, but I have never been chastised so strongly by someone I am paying to do a job.

Stopped by for breakfast at a fast food place and left my keys in the car. I had just traveled from Miami to work in Key West for the week. I had about 30 minutes before I was going to be late. Called them and they were there within 15 minutes. Unlocking my car took a couple minutes only because of paperwork. Extremely pleasant and friendly experience. 10/10 would lock my keys in my car again.

Over the weekend, we were locked out of our house. And after numerous unsuccessful calls, we contacted Admiral Locksmith. Les professionalism and courtesy were outstanding. We are visiting this lovely part of our state and locked our keys in the trunk just before heading out to scuba dive. We randomly called 3 locksmiths, the first 2 were too busy, and the 3rd was unable to get the lock. The 3rd one recommended Admirals. (Our car was in the good hands of Russell at the Two Friends restaurant parking lot.) Les was great in communicating with me to coordinate a time to meet and was more than willing to work around our time getting off the boat. I loose keys.... It has become a hobbie but i can't explain how or why... The Admirals always pull through. Very thorough craftsmanship. Very interesting gadgets and gizmos. Cool to watch and fun to watch them work! Sometimes i think my subconscious makes me slowly loose all my keys so we can hangout and i can watch them make more master keys and coppies all over again lol. My wife is just as bad as i am. These folks are amazing. When I broke my Key off in my car door lock Les came out and removed it in minutes. He also made me a new key to the original factory specs (for a 1991 Subaru!). The new key worked perfectly. Les also took the time to lubricate all of the locks on the car plus the ignition. I was very happy with the service and the price. Highly recommend.

Imagine on the last day of your Wedding/ Vacation you and some of the wedding party are stuck in Key west because the keys to the 2017 Suburban rental disappeared... Frantically searching every hotel room, suitcase, pant pockets, and backing tracking your steps for 3 nights (not an easy task I might add) turns up nothing. You are stuck with the gut wrenching feeling that the next 24 hours are not going to be fun... BUT a google search for 'lock smith in Key West' provided you with the contact information to Les and Tami of Admirals Locks. They came to our rescue and saved me hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of dollars. Les used some serious ingenuity to get us back on the road without a key fob! People at the rental car return were flabbergasted! Les and Tami were (are) life savers. (Oh, the keys fell into a hole in my wife's purse and we found them 2 days later. Her purse was only near the truck after Les was able get in and start it. Avis still charged me a lost key fee because they had to reprogram the fob...)

Les was able to cut a safe key for me on a couple hours notice when the manufacturer (Sentry) could not, or would not give me the time of day because they said my file drawer safe was too old and they did not retain key codes for my drawers anymore. And Les, at Admirals Lock, made me a key from scratch w/o ever seeing my file drawers. He's on call at all times and will get your job done professionally and promptly.
