Needed a new remote fob/key for my late model used car. Local dealer? $183 for the key blank + $145 for cutting and coding + tax. A to Z? $135.11 total. Delivery? Dealer wanted the car for 1/2 day. A to Z store visit was was 13 minutes.

Lots of great keychains, safes and security equipment. Visited a few times in the past and waited to be helped while they made keys for other customers. This time I took a few photos inside the store and was immediately asked if I was looking for something by a an employee that appeared rapidly from behind the counter as the another continued making keys. Take pics = get helped fast.

I have used A to Z for multiple auto lockouts and they are always prompt. This time, I called them from work to have them check out a door that wasn't properly latching. They arrived in less than 2 hours and even had to go out of their way to pick up more parts, but got the job done in less time than our maintenance man said he would! They diagnosed the issue with ease and made a quick solution. Will always use them for residential and commercial business. Professional, fast, and quality work!

Very courteous and kept me updated on their arrival time. Only took about an hour from when I called to them unlocking my door. Price was about half of what I expected. Hopefully I don't lock myself out again, but if I do they will be my first call!

We had been trying for a couple of weeks to get a key made for the cargo bays of a new to us RV with no luck. We had gone so far as to call the manufacturer, no progress. Today we were told by another company to go to a locksmith to have a key impression made because our particular key isn't made any more. We walked in the door of A to Z Lock & Safe and had 4 keys in our hands in less than 5 minutes-they had our key in stock! Awesome!

I called at 12 PM on a Monday for a standard car unlocking. (I locked my keys in.) I was quoted that a technician would arrive within 1 hour. 2 hours went by and no one showed up. I called back and the gentleman on the phone (same as the first time) assured me that the tech was at the gate as we spoke (Hurlburt Field). I wasn't sure how he knew this since he didn't call the tech during our conversation and I highly doubted the tech called him just to let him know where he was. Whatever, gave him benefit of the doubt. 30 more minutes went by. No show. I called again, this time Jesse picked up. He assured me he would call the tech to see where he was and Jesse would call me back immediately. 15 more minutes went by and I received no call back. Called them back again, this time Julie picked up. She was friendly but could only connect me back to Jesse. Jesse then told me he couldn't get a hold of me (even though I was just sitting there next to my working phone waiting for something to happen.) His voice did however seem sincere and apologetic. He told me that after the last time we spoke, he called the tech who said (again somehow?) that he was just getting through the gate. That time it was actually true. The tech finally showed up about 10-15 min after that phone call. He wasn't very friendly or particularly unfriendly. Professional enough I suppose. Did not catch his name as I certainly didn't have time to in the middle of a work day. Charged me $65 for about 2 minutes of work after a phone call run around, making the customer figure out where the employees were, an hour of lateness, and being lied to. (Would've been $70 without a military discount.) Definitely will not use this service again.

I locked my keys in my car with my puppy in the car. A to Z lock was there in less than ten mins and saved her life. We are under heat advisory today too. I'm forever grateful for you guys!!!!! I will always use and recommend you guys for now on. Thank you so much!!!!!

Jupiter Lost
TLDR: Overall unpleasant folks to deal with and not timely like they said on the phone. Got locked out. Called the company and spoke with a female who took all my info. She transferred me to a male dispatcher who again, took all my info. Was quite rude. I asked for an estimated time, he said 20-30 minutes. 45 minutes later, I called back and talked to a different man who said he talked to the technician, who is on their way, and should arrive momentarily. Another 45 minutes later, he arrives. This tech walks in the side gate, doesn't close it behind him. Props open the screen door to access the locked back door. Once open, goes inside through the house (which he asked to do, no problems), but doesn't unprop the screen door. Comes back in the house to work on the fee, and asks to sit on the only seat I have in the house. I've been standing for 90 minutes and didn't sit because we had business to complete. But he, who had been SITTING in an air conditioned van before he rolled up chooses to sit down and try to pry information from me. Small talk is unnecessary, and he was very pushy to get answers to his question . Very dissatisfied the way they operate. I realize there is a service they provide that we need, but that doesn't mean they should be as rude as they are toward the customer. Terrible experience, but two stars for completing the service that was paid for.

I was visiting my elderly parents last month, helping them remodel their home, and after multiple visits to Home Depot (whose locksmith wasnt working that day), I stopped by A to Z. The gentleman who helped me was beyond helpful! He explained the differences in locks - and how the new models I recently bought were easier to lock yourself out of if you couldnt see the lock as well (& how you could accidentally reset the lock - which would lock yourself out of your home). Needless to say, I went back & bought a less fancy model. And then went back to A to Z to have them rekey the new locks. On top of that, the gentleman who helped me recommended the larger keys (when I asked for duplicate keys to be made) - which are so much easier for my elderly parents to use. I would definitely recommend A to Z Lock & Safe!!

Cut a key from the key code. Was told if there was a problem with the cut to bring the keys back. The code was correct, but if you put the key all the way into the ignition it would not turn. If you pulled the key out just a little it worked. Brought the keys back. They told me they couldnt help me unless I brought the bike back. Just needed a new key cut in a little bit different location in the shaft. Very unprofessional. Dont use these people. They dont do what they said they would.

Stay away! would give them zero star if I could. screwed me out of over about $300. on vac lost key. They had to order key for my Hyundai and have over nighted. came the next day. They failed to order key that goes with the fob. was only able to program fob. Said they would order key and would us my cars key code to make key and mail to me. first key they sent was no where near the right cut. They sent another key. was similar cut to my spare key but would not unlock. sent them another email. Said they couldn't guarantee it would work.

My husband lost his keys in Virginia and we had to get a new fob programmed at the airport. The young man who arrived was very professional and efficient at getting our car unlocked, verifying it was owned by us, and making us a key fob. Would definitely use their services again.

Needed to get a new key for my truck so I called and they told me the price which was way better than the dealership. It only took about 15mins everything works great. I did have a question about a locking gas cap for my truck, they didnt seem to have any idea of what I was talking about(one keyed with the ignition key). I just thought they would have known more about that; thats the only reason for the four stars.

I locked myself out of my apartment and was ready to go get a hotel room when I walked past one of their trucks and decided to call the young man Tyler M. answered immediately and gave me his eta and was 20 minutes early also went over and beyond his job duties to make sure I got to sleep in my own bed. He loved his job and even gave me some pointers on how to be safer. I will never call another so thankful for you.

I went by their office on Mary Esther Cutoff at approximately 8 a.m. to schedule an appointment. I've had work done by them before, and the job was done well by Zack. I was needing to have a smart lock installed, and keyed to use my current key. The person I talk to goes to the back office, and tells me that Zack will contact me and do the install today.When 5 p.m. rolls by, I call the office, and ask if Zack will still be coming. I'm speaking to the dispatcher, and he has no record of my appointment. It's too late in the day to get someone out, so they want to reschedule for tomorrow.I was okay with that, if I would be provided a discount for waiting all day. I was asked who I spoke with. I didn't get the person's name, but I had his description and the time this conversation took place.Basically, I said can't you look at the schedule and see who was working at 8 a.m. this morning at your Mary Esther office?The only recourse I got from the dispatcher was, I can call Zack and see if he knows anything about this. If he does, I'll call you back. If not, I won't call you.At the end of the day, I've waited all day for nothing, been treated like a liar and have been punished for a mistake I didn't make. I'll take my business elsewhere, and I was going to go through them for home security.

Called two hours in advance. Spoke with a gentleman on the phone stating I needed a key made for a 2016 Nissan Sentra. No push to start, just a normal key with a chip. I was quoted $225, $50 more expensive than the other two places I just called. I said ok awesome how soon can a tech be there, I was told 90minutes. I said great, Ill meet him there. I was driving from over 2hours away to meet up with this gentleman. Well, three hours, four bottles of water, and two soaked in sweat shirts later no one had contacted me or came out. So, finally ticked off for having a company waste hours of my time, I call back. Apparently the guy didnt put the order in. Awesome. How long till your company can get a tech out here to make the key and rectify the situation, oh, only another two hours? When I say thats unacceptable and ridiculous that I should have to wait Another two hours after your company messed up and had me waiting here for three hours anyway, Im told well we didnt lose your key maam. I replied if it werent for people losing keys or needing new ones made because a salesman decided to be an idiot and lose the key, then your company wouldnt be necessary now would it? These idiots keep you in business. Im told well we do house locks and other things too...Not. The. Point. So, I finally got another call back from this company, stating all of a sudden theyre able to send a tech out here, that he just arrived, it will only be another 15minutes. Considering I already waited 3hours, they werent even considerate enough to discount the price for THIER MISTAKE, and I got to have a member of their company be a smart ass stating he didnt lose the key, I am now going with another company. I Always have my salesmen use local business like this one to make keys in order to help support another business, but, I will not support a business that isnt capable of Earning my business and has absolutely no respect for my time. Completely unacceptable.

I needed the manual lock on my garage fixed and new keys for it. It wasn't until after the job that they told me that the other mechanism of the manual lock was outside the scope of their work.IT ENDS UP I NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE MANUAL LOCK SYSTEM. IF THEY WOULD HAVE TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T FIX IT FROM THE BEGINNING, I WOULDN'T HAVE EVEN NEED THEM TO COME OUT.A new system comes with new keys and everything.$100 charge for worthless work! >:O

I locked my keys in the car for the 1st time in my life, did it yesterday but didn't realize it until today. I called A to Z and had a locksmith here within 30 minutes - on a Saturday even! I chose them because I've lived here all my life and they have been here forever and I know their reputation. He had the car open in a matter of minutes, and he let us know that they are able to make you a spare key on the spot should you need one. He was professional yet extremely compassionate to our situation and I am forever thankful to him for his help today. Thank you for turning what had been a really bad week into something positive!

I called on the phone about getting new keys made for a camper top and was told by Cathy to bring my truck in so they could take a look at it. I made the trip to their showroom and was promptly ignored by everyone behind the counter, when I finally managed to talk to an employee I was told that he was busy working on a vehicle that had an appointment and if I waited an hour or scheduled an appointment for the next day or two that I could be helped then.Don't tell people to come down to your store for service when your one employee who can actually do work is busy. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else if you value your time at all.

I had no idea locksmiths did so many things. We went in order to get a protected key for our condo duplicated. While there we found out they could reprogram a failed key fob (much cheaper than the Inifinti dealer). Their store is full of security rated items and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

greedy owners and a lack of customer service and organization. find another company. All they care about is money$$$. If you do call them only talk to Becky she seems to be the only honest and organized person there. I needed a lock installed on a time constraint of two days at one of my rental properties.. Spoke to someone who said 'no problem we'll be out there tomorrow morning' they'd make the 'order' and someone would call me that afternoon to schedule. No one ever called me. I called the next day and now there was no record of my order or service appointment. I had to have my repairman pick up the lock and install it due to the time constraint. My repair man installed it the best he could and told me there was a minor issue with the framing of the door but it was working. I called the company to troubleshoot and spoke to a gentlemen for 45 minutes before i decided to have them send a tech out. He came out the next day to take a look and they charged me $60 for this call. I thoroughly explained the issue beforehand yet the service talk asked the guest, who had just checked in, of the issue. The tech literally flipped a switch (deadbolt) and said the problem was that the lock was in 'passage mode' and now it was locking. 'the install was fine' The lock NEVER had a 'locking' problem. Nonetheless i trusted this techs experience as I live out of state and didn't have another choice to check it myself.2 weeks later I arrive and find the lock barely hanging on to the door. I had to plead with the company to send out a tech again the same day and only after a heated discussion did they waive the service charge from before.. They now said the lock is broken and and it needs a brand new lock.. Long story short I paid for two locks. No idea how the lock broke in 2 weeks but was functioning fine. One of the owners Brian was very rude on the phone and didn't understand one bit why it was their fault and continued to try to charge me the full amount for both locks, service call and install fees. I asked him to charge me the cost for the 1st lock and supplies so he wouldn't take a loss and i wouldn't be paying full price twice for the same lock. Which i think anyone would agree is a fair deal for the company. I NEVER ASKED FOR A FULL REFUND. I would pay the cost of the 'broken lock and supplies' and i would pay in full for the second lock and install. Instead he offered me a 15% discount on just the 1st lock.. No discount on the aluminum plates and other parts that likely cost a few dollars at most but are billed at $20 EACH.. Which i'm not 100% sure why new supplies were needed as the aluminum plates and other parts were 3 weeks old and i would think an aluminum plate cant be damaged. I have had 3 other locks installed by this company in the past and they over billed me then as well. I had to call and show them the initial invoice i was quoted which was over $200 less..If you do business with this company please be sure of the amount up front. Owners and techs are very greedy.I asked Jesse (my tech) for an itemized receipt multiple times but instead got a verbal amount and multiple phone calls that were borderline harassment about completing payment. 4 phone calls from the day it was installed (saturday up to monday afternoon) from multiple people. When i clearly told them i wanted an itemized receipt and wanted a call from the owner to talk about the 'broken lock' Not even an emailed receipt was sent until i asked multiple times which still wasn't itemized. To be honest I'm not even sure the lock was broken.. I just wanted to be done with this and their harassment and paid them after the joke of a discount I received.

Damaged my item! I left a rooftop cargo carrier with this business to have the lock replaced. I'm pretty sure they lost my information which made me have to call multiple time to check on the status of it. Eventually after two weeks (originally told it would take only three days), my item was ready for pick up. When I arrived the item had a new lock on it as requested but it also had all sorts of scratches on it where it was clearly dragged on it's side across across the concrete floor of their garage. I will not be doing business with A to Z again and I would advise others to look elsewhere before goving them your business.

Stopped by today to have a tow hitch lock cut off. Yes, I had lost my keys and the only way to remove it was to drill out the lock mechanism with a titanium bit and naturally I didn't have any in my tool box. Besides, it was raining so I stopped by as I was in the market for a few things. The gentleman I spoke to said it would be 40-mins before someone could get to it and then he went back into his office and sat down. I was looking around when I was approached by Nick who asked if I was in the market for a safe. I wasn't, but we got to chatting about the small night stand gun safes he had and one thing lead to another and when he learned why I was there, he walked to the back and the first gentleman I spoke to came out with a drill in hand. Didn't make eye contact and when I followed him out, said he was uncomfortable having people watch over his shoulder. Ok, no biggie so I went inside and was looking again at the small gun safes. They had a nice one listed at $175 but a quick internet searched showed the same one at Walmart for $83. I did like their home security/camera systems so I'll have them come out and survey and give me an estimate. I did buy a few odds and ins to use a geocache containers but overall except for Ken, they didn't appear overly friendly. Unless I go for the home security/camera system, I probably won't be back.
