Called another locksmith who seemed to be sleeping and said they couldn't send anyone so I was very relieved when Discount Locksmith of Sarasota answered quickly and promised they would be at my house within 20 minutes thy had arrived even faster than thought. I was given a discount for being so close by and it was a little cheaper than I had ever paid for a locksmith. I would definitely call them again if I had an issue with getting in my car. I must say they did an excellent job of installing a new door lock at my house. From the time I requested a quote on Yelp to the time they showed up and finished installation was under an hour on a Saturday. Highly recommend. Was very transparent with pricing. They were very responsive and came to re-key several locks within a couple hours of my contacting them. The job was done quickly and with high quality. I was going to buy new door knobs but Discount Locksmith of Sarasota offered to disable the locking mechanisms which does not cost anything and achieves the same end result. Would use again and recommend.

Called at 9:30am....was told I would have to wait til 1:00 for a tech. Was told it would be a $15 service fee, fine that's great, and labor would depend on the problem. Turns out, the screws were taken out, and reinserted, door handle worked fine, and was charged $85 friggen dollars for 5min work. Sorry, if I could give negative star rating I would. Will not recommend them to anyone
