I came in Friday with all the locks from my new home. In under an hour they were rekeyed, so I was able to get my home secured immediately. Thanks for the rush job! They all work perfectly.

Needed a key for a rolling cart. I took cart into Anderson Safe & Lock on April 17th. I was told the price for making a key and the extras I wanted by Terry. I had a total of 3 carts with all the same cylinder code. I was told it would be ready the following day (April 18th) after 1pm. When I called Terry told me that he was having a little trouble getting the cylinder out but he would have it ready by noon on Friday (April 19th). I called to ask if I could pick it up early as we had a buyer for 2 of the carts.(Sold 2 without keys) Cart was not going to be ready until Monday (April 22nd) after noon. I went in Monday (April 22nd) to pick up the cart. Paid for the 2 keys made. Terry helped me load it into my van on its back. When my husband and I unloaded the cart at home and unlocked it was when we noticed the damage.The top drawer (which Terry told me he had to take out to get to the cylinder) was damaged. The whole front faceplate was loose and wobbly. The drawer did not slide on its track smoothly as it had before. I phoned Terry at Anderson Safe & Lock and he said he didn't notice any damage done. If I wanted to bring the cart back to the store I could, he didn't have anyone that could go out to look at it until perhaps tomorrow.He also said 'Jay' worked on it and he would ask him. My husband took out the drawers to see if he could see what had happened. The picture below show the broken weld on the top drawer (left picture) and all 4 screws that hold the faceplate to the drawer were missing. The second drawer also had all 4 screws missing and the third drawer had one screw missing and two loose. I took the drawers back to Anderson Safe & Lock. I asked worker (no name badge) if he had worked on this cart. He said no Terry does that type of work. When Terry got off the phone he came to assist me. He said that he only took the drawer out and had not taken any screws out. I asked how did they become gone and wouldn't he have noticed the faceplate. I asked him to look on his bench or ask 'Jay' if he had taken the screws out. Terry said he did the work and had not taken them out. If I was willing to leave the drawers he would get screws to put back in.I made the executive decision to take my broken items home and have my husband put screws in. I was concerned that more damage or my drawers might get 'lost'. I should have checked the cart before I left the store. Very unhappy with Terry lying to me about what happened to this cart. Do not use this business unless you take before and after pictures of your item in case it gets 'extra work' aka damage done to it.

After being turned down by ace hardware and home depot these guys came to my rescue!! I baught aftermarket keys for my vehicle and took them to the places I listed and was told they couldn't cut them for whatever reasons.....called these guys and not only where they able to do it they did it for free!!! Will be my go to place for keys from here on out!!

This safe company never answers the phone . I bought a safe from a store that had this company provide the combination . I have the receipt and the combination . The safe is a J Baum Safe & Lock Co. Cincinnati O. ... Yes it is a very nice large antique. This safe needs a 4 number combination to unlock it . Anderson's provided three numbers that will not unlock this safe. The store that paid Anderson's did so in trust one business to another business so the safe could be SOLD . The store trusted that the combination provided would open the safe so sale took place. I was provided this receipt with combination and how much the store paid Anderson's for the combination . This safe is unable to be opened. A repitabre lock smith would answer their phone. A reputable lock smith knows this safe always has a ( 4 ) number combination. Anderson's provided three (3) ...

I read review after review for multiple companies, trying to find the best fit for our needs. I chose Anderson Safe & Lock because of these reviews. We set the appt last week for today. Yesterday, someone from the company called me and asked if we were meeting yesterday (Mon) or today (Tues). I stated Tuesday before 11am per my notes. They must have had my notes right by them as they read off our before 11 time frame before I even said anything.Well, Ive been here waiting all morning today. No show, no call. I was patient and gave them extra time because stuff happens (2.25 hours now). I called at 1:15pm and asked when they are coming and was told by the same person as yesterday (distinguishing voice - third time I spoke to this person now) that he was told I cancelled. Um...no. I asked what gave indication that I cancelled and he didnt have anything. I told him that he called me yesterday in the middle of work to ask me about which day and we both confirmed today. He even quickly confirmed my appt today without me giving a name and with me calling from my house line rather than my cell line.So much for the professionalism everyone wrote about. Someone will supposedly be here in the next half hour which would be great! But Ive missed an entire morning of work with no paid time off to be here before 11. This is not professional behavior. Im going to have to fork out over $150 for the work today and they are over 2 hours late and were called in by me rather than calling me to tell me they were behind.Hopefully the work is done properly and without damage to the locks as noted in other reviews. Otherwise, I will be puzzled how they earn such rave reviews.Oh, and to add, they are not far away...they are practically in my neighborhood so that is no excuse.Perhaps some awesome service would help me to raise this review score.Follow up: 2:30pm and still a no-call, no-show.

I have been going here for all my lock and Key Copy needs for over 20 Years. They always are fast, professional, and have what I need. I own a large commercial landscaping company and get at least 40 to 50 copies made each year and have never had a problem. Today they gave me a free copy because they were not 100% sure if it was an exact match because it was a very odd key and said go test it out and pay us next time if it works. Awesome Company!!! Highly Recomend!!

Knowledgeable (and fast) service! Anderson Safe and Lock was able to make duplicates of my harder-to-find older door key, as well as my newer keys. They are the only locksmith I found with key blanks in stock for my 1920's door key. They also have a big selection of skeleton keys for inside doors, as well as new keys. I had a newer key copy that never worked well after being done at another locksmith. Anderson quickly reground they key, and it works perfectly. Service was fast and my copies are all working great!

I had an aircraft door key that I needed to get a copy of. Went to Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, none of them had a key that matched. The guy at Ace told me to try this place out. They also did not have a key that matched, but decided to improvise with something smaller. He made the key for me, told me to try it, and if it didn't work he would keep trying until we got it. Sure enough, he got it right on the first try. I won't go anywhere else from now on.

Anderson Safe & Lock is still the best locksmith in St Pete. Hurricane Irma dropped a tree on our front door. The force broke an obscure tiny part inside the deadbolt lock cylinder called a 'tailpiece'. Joe at AS&L scavenged around the shop and found a similar part. I had an excellent experience with Anderson. My deadbolt was on the fritz and I called to have it fixed. The service person told me what was wrong with it and told me that since it was a Baldwin lock it was under warranty. He told me Baldwin would send me a new one. He then told me how to replace it myself...he said it was easy...and also said that if I wanted to pay to have them do it to call. When the replacement came from Baldwin it wasn't the whole deadbolt, just the part that had broken...so I was a little confused. But Joe at Anderson told me (over the phone) how to replace it. Again, if I had problems they'd come out. But his instructions were perfect and I did it myself! Woohoo. With no charge from Anderson. I will definitely use them in the future since I know that they know what they are talking about and they definitely don't price gouge or charge customers for something they don't need. Good neighbors, I say.

Most memorable service occurred when they happened to have a replacement in the backroom for a long discontinued deadbolt. It had simply worn out and current manufacturer replacements were sized differently and I would have had to rework the door for them.

Anderson was able to unlock a door at home when another company could not. They also were able to unlock, open, and repair a fire safe at work.
