Snapped the one remaining key for an 87 911 Targa off in the ignition. Went to 5 different locksmiths before reaching Big Ds. When I asked if he could make one off the broken shaft, he gave me a duh look, Walked in back, and came back 3 minutes later with a fresh key. Told me if It didnt work to come back. lo and behold it worked. 5 other locksmiths blew me right off but not Big Ds. Planning on coming back for all my classic car key needs.

I needed to get a bunch of copies of a key to a cat room and was having trouble getting copies that would work from other places. After reading google reviews for Big D Lock City, I thought Id see if they could make keys that work. I had 4 made around 10am and then stopped by the pet store where the cat room is located to test the keys. They all worked! So I headed back to Berkeley (from Livonia) to get the rest of the copies made. I arrived at 2:15 on a Saturday afternoon. The Hazel Park location is open until 3pm, but the Berkeley location closes at 2pm. I mixed up the hours for the 2 locations. The man who cut the keys earlier opened the door and said hed make the rest of the copies I needed. All 16 of them. After they had closed for the day. On a weekend. So so awesome! If you need keys that work made by great people, the is the place to go!

Work was expertly and quickly done. New lock set on back door and repair to existing front door lock. Tech Dan even diagnosed and repaired loose door hinge - front door works better now than when first installed. Overall, good pricing for services and product provided! I would not hesitate to call these folks anytime for anything related to locks, new lock sets, keys, etc.

Dan was very professional and explained everything in detail. He came out the same day (needed locks rekeyed and digital entry replaced with a deadbolt). He gave me options and and the price was very reasonable. He did great work and was patient as I asked questions in order to understand the process. I would definitely recommend him!

These guys are awesome. They are quick, kind, and affordable. Broke my front deadbolt and they fixed and rekeyed it so the keys could match the side door locks. ALL IN UNDER 15 MINUTES.
