I just stopped in with a broken lock - the cylinder had come apart. Steve was incredibly helpful and even gave me a little lesson in locksmithery :-) The total charge was so low I had him round it up to $30. What he did, and how quickly he did it, with a friendly smile - it was well worth it! They're not on the beaten path, but if you're looking for old-fashioned customer service with folks that take pride in their work - this is it!

OMG... You want good service, honest people, the job done right? This is your place! My husband called one of those 800 locksmith numbers... DON'T EVER DO THAT! We got totally screwed! I called these people after hours totally defeated... They were the nicest people, most helpful and within minutes I had hope back! The next day I was set up and taken care of by these people! The guy I talked to kept in touch with me all day until he got to me, one of the nicest guys I've met in a long long time, didn't treat me like most guys treat women these days, I was totally at ease with this guy, he was in and out in no time at all and had me totally fixed up! I can't say enough good for this company! There is no other locksmith company in the Grand Rapids area, this is it! Fair and honest! I will use them for all my needs and recommend them to everyone I do and don't know! You won't find a better company then this, just wish they were our first call! And the 800 company... A week later and they still won't answer our calls or try to make things right.

After inadvertently locking ourselves out of our (Allendale) home on a frosty winter evening (after regular business hours), technicians from Emergency Lock and Safe arrived about half an hour after we called them for assistance. They were extremely friendly, efficient, and professional. We are so very thankful for their help!

We have an old camper that did not come with a key for the door lock. We called another locksmith in Grand Rapids and he told us our lock was 'impossible' to re-key. We then called Emergency Lock & Safe and it sounded like there was hope for our lock. We stopped by with the camper and they took the lock out of the door, re-keyed it, and had it back in the door within an hour. While we were there, we witnessed multiple customers have their problems solved within minutes. These guys are awesome. Definitely recommend for any lock issues! They go the extra mile!

I found them thru Angie's List and called them because of positive reviews. I did not appreciate the condescending attitude. Not everybody is familiar with the exact terminologies around locks. If you want customer service or at the very least treated with respect, I strongly recommend you find someone else. Why would I hire somebody who talks to me with a condescending tone and unprofessional attitude?
