These guys are great! Very knowledgeable needed an extra key fob for my car they didn't have it but told me where to order it. Cut it and programmed it for $50 would have been $200 at the dealership. Highly recommend.

This place is absolutely amazing! The honesty at this place is beyond refreshing. The guys behind the counter were total pros. We have two keypad locks on our doors (front and back) and they give you one key per pad. We have used the keypads for years and are listing our house for sale and after searching high and low, the keys are gone. I checked out yelp this am and read the reviews for this place and, although I live at 13/Campbell in RO, I rolled the dice and drove to Hazel Park. Best.decision.in.ages!I took off the entire unit and for $7.50, he was able to make new keys/re-do tumbler, with 3 keys, I walked out the door for $11.12. I went home, re-installed the first unit and took the second back, where he re-did it so the same keys work on both entries $9 out the door. They could have told me I had to replace the cores (which is what I was expecting) and I would have done it. Honesty. I love it.Family-owned and has been around FOREVER, as a child of the 70s the place took me back to they old tyme parts stores dad used to drag us to. It is just awesome. Do not go anywhere else for locks, knobs, safes, etc. It's worth the extra couple of miles.

These guy's have always been very professional and courteous.And they have very great prices too. I'm just super thrilled! They came out 10am on a Saturday to help me get my garage door open. And YES! Totally got it open. They even showed me,what I did to prevent me from being able to open my door. I didn't put enough tension on the handle for the cable. When to many different chains (Lowes, ACE, Home Depot) trying to get copies of a desk key that shouldn't have been a big deal. None could do it for me. I called a local place and they never returned my call just to let me know if they could do it or not. Finally, a guy at ACE recommended Big D Lock and Key. They were able to cut the keys I needed in less than 5 minutes and the price was right. I definitely recommend them and will be going straight there for all of my lock and key needs.

Forgot to write a review until I had to check store hours for my return and need of their services. Top notch, these guys won't disappoint like the many places did to me. Their keys always work unlike Walmart, Lowe's, etc. Will be back this week for a couple of keys needing a copy.
