Jaime was very knowledgeable. He helped program my key fob. I am frequent flyer at Aaron's. I had my other cars keys taken care here over the years. Truly recommend this shop, I would advised getting a quote with them before heading out to a 'stealership'.

Excellent service and very reasonable prices. Had a 1997 Audi key cut here this morning. The tool they use is amazing and was really nice of the staff to explain how the cutter not only references your current key but cuts the new key to an original spec so it is literally like new.

Not pleased with customer service. Came to give a bid and was rude and short with my assistant. I returned his call to answer his question and he was very rude and short with me. I was waiting to here back about the bid and never heard. When I called him he told me he wasn't going to do the bid. I have no problem with that but at least call and let me know instead of me waiting and then I have to call them.

Excellent customer service, great prices, and quick service. I broke my key off in the door lock of my car and I was provided a new one in less than five minutes- with the old key in two pieces. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

This place is FANTASTIC. I cannot emphasize enough just how happy I am that I called them! I broke both of my car keys off the connected key fobs. The dealership tried telling me I HAD to buy two new keys (with the fob's attached) in order for them to be programmed to my 2008 Taurus. They wanted $500 for two new keys plus programming. I went to Aaron's and they gave me a new basic key and set me up so I could still use the key fob with it. It took them 15 minutes and cost me $35. They were polite and extremely helpful. I will be recommending them to all my friends and coming back for any of my key/lock needs. These guys really take care of their customers.

So today in April 16, 2018 @ 10:15pm I went into Aarons Lock & Key to get my button remote for my car fixed. Now ppl know when you go to get something fix you text to go back to the place you bought it at. Well i go in there and inform the Manager Jimmy that I came up to this place months ago to get the remote button fixed before and that one of his employees fixed it and he stated that no one here fixed this cause we dont soldered these like this. I informed him that i came up here cause i bought it from them and one of his employees did that months ago. Yet i get called a liar, which i have no need to do cause i wouldnt leave work early to make it to a place that closes at 4:30pm to get a remote fixed. I informed him of this and also stated that i can go anywhere to get another button remote for my car and Jimmy states no you cant go anywhere....umm there are many more lock places that sell these. So Jimmy starts raising his voice while he has customers in the store and states And yes Im raising my voice at you and you can write a review I dont care. So i walk out and make sure i get a picture of everything even him. If he wanted to help His Customers so he says then he would have offered anything to me instead of going back in forth with me. No one is looking for anything to be free i work to pay for quality items. So i go back in to speak with the manager not knowing it was Jimmy and yet disrespected again. He began walking up on me, in my personal space and trying to touch me. At this point he states he will call the police okay call but i did one better and called for him. But i guess he couldnt wait cause he definitely locked up and left. So yea police are aware and this is the worst customer service ever. I will never support Arrons Lock & Key and will not refer anyone to this terrible business. I feel sorry the Owner has a manager like him messing up his business. If anyone has anything to say i do not care cause 1. You were not there to witness anything 2. You yourself have dealt with someone that has given you terrible customer service before also.

Went to Aaron's Lock and Key with a key fob that wouldn't work and was sold a replacement. I tried it in the parking lot and it didn't work. I went back to the store (mind you, they were closing for the night) The gentleman came out and reprogrammed my car so that the fob would work. These guys are awesome and highly recommended!!! Will be giving them my business in the future!They were a pleasure to deal with!

I used this company to replace the locks on my house and a rental property. They did a great job and charged a fair price. The installer even gave us tomatoes from his family's farm 3 days after he installed the new locks at our house. What's more, I called into the store years after having my locks changed because my key hole what sticking. The person I talked to suggested I lube it first before having someone come out. I did and the lock works great without sticking. Great Job!

Good customer service and very reliable locksmith.The guy came on time and did the job well, replaced lock and made sure that we learned how to open a lock.Would definitely use their service again.Update:I was reading some of the negative reviews and wanted to elaborate. I needed to replace an electronic safe lock with a mechanical. A guy at the desk was very pleasant and professional, we had a short conversation about the locks and he seemed to be glad to see someone who replaces fancy digital with more reliable mechanical combination lock. The technician who came over was also very polite and professional, he showed the installation, gave me all the parts, explained how to open the lock among with some funny stories of how not to store combinations.I had a good experience and glad to support a small local business like Aaron's who cares about their customers.

Horrible experience at Aaron's. He fixed my car remote/fob and when I went to pay him for the work he did, he said he wouldn't let me have my own fob unless I bought an additional item that brought the cost up to 2.5x the money of what we discussed when I okayed the work. The item was not even used in the work and was an extra.I refused and Aaron literally broke the battery clip off my remote, damaging the remote green board. I told him I would review him and he followed me out into the parking lot yelling at me. (Scary experience to say the least). I took my remote to a batteries plus and they fixed the solder job for less money and were super polite. I would recommend you stay clear of Aaron's lock and Key shop. There are many other locksmiths you can choose from who are not rude on the verge of scary.

An old geezer recommended this locksmith to me, and I was very happy that I followed his advice. My two key fobs were repaired in about the same time than it took to actually explain what was wrong, and now they're in better shape than they were when new, due to the addition of material inside the keys which prevents further damage.I will gladly recommend this locksmith to anyone.Now, after reading some of the negative reviews, I have a very hard time understanding that any of them hold any merit whatsoever. Rude owner? I doubt it. I think the problem is actually in rude customers, and yes, they do exist. While some rude people who desire to negatively affect someone's honest business, there are some of us out there that will refuse to let their voices sound out too loudly. If you have a problem with your electronic car keys, this is the place to go. I would give them any other business for their superior service. Enough said.

These guys are great! I came in to have a keyless remote programmed, and a couple transponder keys cut and programmed. In less than 10 minutes, I was out of there and for about 2/3 LESS than it would have cost me at the dealer! They were helpful, courteous and respectful. Now all they need is a new logo!

My key fob had been soldered and had a new battery installed. It was still not working well, and all I could envision was paying $100 for a new one from GM. Went to Aaron's and he immediately found a new rubber insert for it. It cost around $10. The fob still gave me a little trouble right after I got it, but after about three days of random mishaps, I once again have keyless entry into my car. It has been four or five months now, so I am sure it's fixed. Very happy with their services!

I agree with some of the other reviewers about the owner's lack of social skills. He is very unpleasant to deal with. He even has a sign in his store right in view of the customer on his side of the counter that goes something like: I only have one nerve left, don't get on it. It's not word for word perhaps but, it's basically what it says. Who knows, the business he's in might have some problem customers a lot and maybe that's why he seems angry but that's not my fault or any other customer than walks in for the first time. it just rubs the customer that wrong way, even if the service he may do is good. I'll just have my keys made at ACE from now on.

My remote car starter / keyless entry keyfob broke. The battery clip got loose and a family member tried to re-solder the connection for me but it didn't work. Then I broke the battery clip off and lost it. I called the dealership and they wanted $160 for a new keyfob and to have it programmed to work with my car. I called Aaron's and Jamie said if I brought it in, he could probably fix it. He soldered on a new battery clip, fixed the old soldering job and replaced the battery in about 5 minutes for a MUCH more reasonable price. I'm thrilled that I can once again start and preheat my car from inside my house this winter. I do have to agree with the one negative reviewer that they aren't exactly a smiley, professional bunch. They might not come in a fancy package, but they do their job well, and for a good price. I'll take that over having corporate customer service blowing smoke up my bum while I over-pay for junk from China. Wally-world they ain't. I'm okay with that.

After years purchasing trailer locks and padlocks from Aaron's, coworkers and I were treated very poorly. The owner was rude, impatient, and not helpful. He sounded irritated and frustrated and refused to sell us the product we wanted. We are now taking our business to Superior Lock in Rochester Hills.
