I had reserved a backhoe from these guys a week in advance and when I got there to pick to pick it up after opening about 10 minutes late I had to sit around and wait for it to get back for about a half hour before I went and asked the guy about it. Once I asked about it they told me that it was on a two day rental I that I had the smaller machine reserved, but when I reserved it I specifically asked for the KX-91 with a 10ft digging depth. Lucky Princeton rental had a machine there that I could rent, and they were amazing they don't charge for trailers and even help you tie down. Hands down the worst rental experience I've had was from just ask rental.

Great local Hometown place to shop. Owners are very cordial, friendly and helpful. Their prices and maybe a little higher than driving into Forest Lake, but add in your time, your gas etc.They are a great value!

Horrible customer service. Bait and switch on the rental price. Charged extra $86 for no reason. These people are crooks. Dont give your money to them or Frankies. Shady family for sure.

Fun place to shop... you never know whats going to be inside or under a box theres definitely some areas for improvement in the organization category but some people like the chaos! Your check out desk definitely needs to be an area bigger then 7 x 9 and you would probably sell a lot more things there. One last thing would be the store hours... every person that shops there I guarantee would agree with (a change is needed) just an idea but maybe run a poll for a week or two asking your customers what they think about the store hours and what they would change?? I had a bit of change of heart about this place from my previous two years of going there so I met the lady who is the owner of the place along with her husband she followed me around the store every aisle I went down she went down and started organizing no matter where I went there she was again here to find out she basically is looking at me like a shoplifter I told her I did not need help three or four different times she then sent her husband down the aisle who I have dealt with in the past he asked me if I needed help and I said are you guys closing or whats going on here he said no I have never been treated this way before as she has never been at the store all the times that I have been there thanks to this end being treated like a shoplifter and followed around I will not be returning to the store ever again! She is a very rude person and has no Business dealing with customers except for of course her regulars. Sorry Marc!!

Wide variety. Excellent service... they will help you find what you need. I've been getting everything from paint to bolts here for 15 years and have always been greeted kindly and treated fair. My rental experiences here have always been positive.

These guys are true business failure. Do not waste your time and money....rent from home depot or somewhere else. I aswell was charged for 48 hours. I picked the unit up at 4 pm Saturday and was told they were open until 5pm sunday....When they were only open until 1pm? Seriously? You should make that clear when you don't prorate your rental fee....I showed up at 1 10pm with people still inside and they would not allow me to return it. Did I mention the unit I rented was a total piece of junk? The tiller belt jumped off the pulley constantly and it kept shutting off due to low oil. And then I get charged for 2 days of rental. I'm not even going to mention what the arrogant jerk had to say to me. This store needs a new owner.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE., Have rented from Chisago Hardware for years. NEVER AGAIN . Them being open odd hours is now my fault. Rented a piece of equiptment for 24 hours at 5:45 pm on a Friday went to return it at 5:30 on Saturday (remind you less than 24 hours) come to find out they are closed. Called and talke to the owner Marc. Was told ' Sorry you cant read' So now its my fault. Hmmmm I explained that i wanted to try to work something out. Was told that is the way we do business. Speaks to how they do business, THE WRONG WAY. Was also told that now i will have black check by my name because i called and tried to work something out with them. Was also charged a damage fee when i didnt even have an opportunity to decline it. MY suggestion TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. Its not like this is my first time deaing with their odd charges but enough is enough. I do not usually have negaitive things to say about a business but when i am told I need to learn how to read, that is just plain WRONG.
