A few years ago, I bought a Volvo 245 as a project. Previous owner had lost the keys, so I needed some new ones made for the locks. I called around and most places turned me down as soon as I said Volvo, but not Coats. They were willing to take on the job and quoted me a great price, so I left my lock with them.I'm sure this was a decision they regretted deeply, because holy moly, I had no idea a little door lock for a 1985 station wagon could be such a can of worms. They looked and looked, but couldn't find replacement parts needed to disassemble the lock to decode it, so the locksmith called the original manufacturer of the lock (in Germany) only to find out that parts are no longer available, and the only way to swap parts from a donor lock without ruining them is with a fancy-pants $300 set of specialty pliers. This was many times the price I was quoted for the job, so naturally they called and told me that they wouldn't be able to... nah, just kidding. THEY BOUGHT EM ANYWAYS. I happened to have some spare locks from another 240 I parted out, so I left them a couple as donors. Once they got the pliers, it wasn't long before they called and said my keys were done! They didn't even make me pay for the special pliers, either!Coats went above and beyond for me. I'm beyond pleased with the work they've done, and you can bet I'll be coming back for any locksmithing work I need done in the future.

Prices are good but the key fob I bought gives me issues every couple of months and almost every time I go theyre closed that specific day without reason given. Its been a lot in a couple months. They also say theyre 24 hours but they almost never answer the phone and are definitely not 24 hours. Also the guy is pleasant enough but the woman is always on her phone or something and acts like you being there is an inconvenience and is unwilling to do much and flat out says she doesnt know what shes doing or talking about.

I took a (car) key I had in to have it cut and programed I was told they could not do the programing, so I had them cut the key..it did not work, the rude woman said they don't guarantee products they didn't sell I told her the product was fine it was her work that faulty she tried to cut it more then told me there was nothing she would do for me.AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!

We thought that we had lost one of the two sets of keys to our motorhome. RV keys can be a pain as many locksmiths don't stock the blanks and have to special order them. The gentleman at Coats made up 2 sets for us in just a few minutes. Very helpful and friendly. The keys all work perfectly - better than the ones that they were cut from. Of course now that we have the new keys, we found the lost set!

These are by far the most rude and unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. They lied to me numerous times on the fee, once I brought up AAA they were extremely rude and cut me off! Price changed and gentleman(far from a gentleman) on the phone on Sunday gave me a quote initially then after I brought up AAA he said he would not drive to Oklahoma as he would receive a 1000 fine and he would not risk it, then when calling back on Monday they said they would(obviously they didnt know who I was) but it was double the price of any other locksmith in the area and 130 more than his quote the day before(prior to AAA conversation.) They must be family because both people on 2 separate days were extremely rude! I cannot believe these people can stay in business!

I special ordered a key and paid in full. I was promised a call when the key arrived in 5 - 7 days. When I called 10 days later, I was told the key was in and I scheduled to have the key programmed. I received a voicemail 2 hours before the appointment and was told they couldn't do it that day, call for another appointment. I called 3 times in the next week and was promised a call back. They NEVER called back. On the fourth call I finally have another appointment. I hope they don't decide to cancel again.
