I went into the store looking for a copper fitting. The shelving and the bins where they are stored are small and some are low to the ground. They have plastic sleeves that hold index cards with pictures/prices for each item. The plastic sleeve runs the length of the Bins and maybe there were 12 of those index cards in the sleeve. Since the item that I was looking for was so low to the ground, I lifted up the plastic sleeve that hold all the cards to get a better look at an item in the bin. Maybe 6 of those cards fell out of the sleeve and perhaps most of the other cards in the sleeve did not align with the pertaining bins. I picked up the six cards that fell to the ground and I handed them to the owner. Instead of him saying 'okay, no problem this sometimes happens', he began to make a big deal of this. Huffing and puffing saying 'why did you do that.... I don't know why people keep doing this'. I said, ' I'm sorry, at least I had the courtesy of picking them up and handing them to you instead of stepping on them and walking away'. He still wouldn't let it go and all in front of other customers. He was annoyed, upset and condescending as if I knocked over a display of wing nuts all over his store. It probably took him all of 5 minutes, if that, to put back the cards and align them with the bins. Hey Steve, why not try putting a piece of tape to hold them in if customers keep knocking them out and furthermore you made a customer feel like I committed a crime. If I ever come back... you might find more then six index cards on the ground for you to clean up. Congratulations my first 1 star review goes to you.

I have always enjoyed going to this local hardware store. But today, they far exceeded my expectations. A few weeks ago my husband purchased two sets of Christmas lights ( new LEDs) for decorating outside. We didnt need them after all and decided to use them on our inside Christmas tree. Unfortunately, there werent enough lights for the tree. I went up to Drueks to purchase more and they were sold out . In conversation, I explained that I them for my tree.......so, the owner said, Hold on! He removed a set from his holidays decorations outside and gave them to me. Also, at no charge! How better can you get? Home Depot or Lowes would never help you like that!!!!

Nice little hardware store. Only been in there once, seems like they have a great selection of parts, tools, and whatnot. Even though they were slow, the staff acted like our questions were not worth their time. I'm not one to play 25 questions either. I knew what I was looking for and the staff member was quite rude. I'd be inclined to buy there again if it meant I wouldn't have to converse with any of them.

Convenient location but arrogant and condescending owner. Like another patron, I was spoken to as if I were a complete idiot. I would prefer to keep my business local but I will not return to this store.

Went in looking for an item asked one question was told no the item Im looking for doesnt exist. The gentleman was belittling, spoke to me as if I was a complete moron. He must of been working on something extremely important on his computer to not even move from the counter to help me troubleshoot my issue. My family and I are locals I will be informing them to not give any of their money to this establishment. We will continue to go to East Moriches Hardware where the staff is friendly and knowledgable.

Very nice looking store , very rude owner . I came in for a bolt / reducer and said he didn't carry it . After demanding him to help me out , they totally had what I wanted . I probably will not enter this store again.
