Very friendly service. Fixed my bolt lock for free which I did not expect. Store inside looks like they can service and sell any lock you can possibly have especially in this neighborhood of co-ops.

Joseph lock smith is best in the neighborhood, I used them every time if i need to make a key or other lock problems. I went in last week to make another key, in less than 1 minute my key was ready . Very quick service and the key they made, i never had any problem.

They have been in business over 40 years. I used them a few times many years ago for lock purchase, installation and window gates. They did and do very good work. I needed them last week to adjust a door lock and install a plate and metal bar. The installer was 50 minutes late but I waited. He did a great job. My reason for 2 stars are their prices. They gave me no estimate or idea of price. They are outrageously high...worse than plumbers. I am not cheap and understand labor is high but for 1 hour of work, a $5 door plate, $10 metal bar, 4 bolts, and a $3 under plate I feel $175 is highway robbery. Okay 100 or 125 but 175 is ridiculous with my own lock. Will not use them again and I will spread the truth..great work but theirprices ....OMG

Not a good customer service. The man doesn't exchange a word. He made a copy of my key that didn't even enter the lock. Next day he was closed, my guests didn't have a spare key for the weekend. I came back next week, he didn't apologize for a bad service and treated me like I was bothering him.He gave me back the key - which didn't work anyways - without a Thank You. A small local business should treat better its customers.

this guy is a real pro. I stopped in to get a very difficult to make key cut, and like in no time flat, boom!, mission accomplished. Went outside to test it in my bus and it worked like a charm. Oh, the price? , too low to mention,so I wont.
