We had to change a few lock and have our house rekeyed after moving in. We used Apex Lock and Key a few years back in our other home and decided to use them again. We spoke with Joel over the phone and he did a great job explaining all of the options and fees that would be associated with each task we needed completed. They were able to come the next morning (would have come that day but we needed to change some hardware too) and arrived right on time. Juan was the technician who came to the house. He did an excellent job and we were very happy with the service Apex Lock and Key provided. Juan completed the work in a very timely manner and went through and showed us each lock after- checking to make sure the key would work and there were no problems. He answered all questions we had and was even able to fix a door that was having additional issues. Everything seemed reasonably priced for the services provided. I would definitely recommend this company!

Our front door handle broke and was stuck in the locked position, we couldn't open our door. We called Apex Lock and Key this morning, someone came out this afternoon. Spencer was great, he called before arriving and arrived right on time. Very professional, he wore a mask and floor protecting slippers. He explained everything and did an excellent job. Cost a bit less than I expected, which is always nice. Making the appt was easy, very polite on the phone, they even told me the name of who to expect. My first experience with them, and I would call them again.

This place is great and unfortunately becoming more rare. These guys spent over an hour painstakingly crafting a key for my 12 year old car (staying late to do so I might add). Locksmithing is a valuable trade that people, like me, don't think about until they need it. In a world where keys can be made at big box stores by automated machines, places like this can seem to be redundant. Nothing can be further from the truth! That machine at the big box store would have kept spitting out keys that didn't work and I would have been forced to pay the outrageous prices for a new key at the car dealer, had it not been for the guys at Apex Lock and Key. Locks are extremely complicated, especially if they are any good, and professionals like those at Apex Lock and Key are critical to securing those things we value most. Give these guys your business.

I returned home from a business trip to find that I was unable to open my door. Due to all the rain there had been some shifting. I called my neighbor to see if he could open it and he was not able to. I called my regular locksmith and they were busy so my neighbor found Apex Lock & Key. They sent out a very young man in about 40 minutes time. He tried his drill but it was not charged so we had to wait 20 minutes while he charged his drill at my neighbors. He did not have a flashlight had to charge the drill twice. Initially he said he would drill a small hole and open the door right above the lock and it would cost $300.00. He ended up making a 2.5 inch hole above my lock before he could open it. Basically ruining my door. He then told me it would be 700.00 due to the fact he had used some rubber inflatables. I told him that was not right and the amount was way too much. He insisted and I paid. Once I got inside the house and closed the door I could not get out again, the door was stuck so I called the 'technician' and told him that and he said well it will cost you more money if I change the lock. I said forget it. So here is someone who has charged me more than the cost of a door $465. Left me with a gaping hole so I have to buy a new door and unable to go in and out of my front door for the past week and 1/2. I called Apex Lock and they gave me different numbers to talk to several different people, and they all told me either they could not find my job and were unable to send a receipt or they were sending a receipt. One gentleman was screaming at me telling me if I wanted help I would need to be patient. They said they would make it right by fixing it or replacing the door. Neither has happened.

He came with mask on and got right to work on the locks I needed changed and even fixed some issues with the lock operation . I will call Alex for all my locksmith needs car home business . Even took care of a sticky mechanism while he was here. Every call made to the store was answered to full satisfaction. Only downside to note is that the website does not have the most recent store hours or closures so best to call first, if you want to visit the brick and mortar.

0 stars... What a bait & switch company. Called for a quote for a replacement car key. Spence said it would be $29 to start to come access what key would be needed and then quote from there. Once at the location would give me the full price then. If we didn't get the service it would be a $29 fee for coming out. I suggested they should be able to quote a more specific rate or at least general idea based on year, make and model and that I could not risk to just have them come out not knowing how much more it could possibly jump up, then not be able to afford the difference and be stuck with a fee on top. I called around different places and they were the more affordable. When it came time to schedule them out all of a sudden it jumped up to a flat rate of $210. This after a week had gone by. I specified that the key was a remote in one that controls the alarm, lock and unlock so had to be quoted for that. They checked with tech, confirmed said it would come with a three month warranty and sent them out. I also specifically asked them to leave an invoice because I would need it for insurance reimbursement. They took forever coming out. Call was put in the afternoon and they didn't come until well after dark. My fianc met them with the car. They made a standard duplicate key like that of one you might have made at Walmart for $5 and did not leave an invoice, charged our card $374.18 and now whenever I call they just transfer me into the abyss, won't allow me to speak to the owner, won't resolve or even listen to my issue to assist. They hang up before I can barely say hello. Its ridiculous. For $40 more I could have had the dealership make me the key that goes with this car and had a three year warranty. I will be pursuing further action. Should have researched the company beforehand lesson learned. Total rip off. Very unhappy and you can't even lock the car with the key from the outside.

So glad that I found Apex Lock and Key. I called due to a home lockout and they came almost right away. I was in within a couple of minutes and they could not have been nicer. On my receipt it said if I called by their store I could get a free key made and was so pleased that I did, as I found out that they also have ( the actual Toyota part ) and can program, a spare key for my Toyota Prius and for a lot cheaper than the dealership.
