These guys are the BEST!!!! My husband lost his key after locking his Boxster. We bought a key and towed the car to a dealership only to find out they were unable to help us. My husband found SOS Diagnostics on the internet and after speaking to them personally decided to send his computer and key to them. I think they had the problem solved and the package on its way back to us within a day. We received the computer and key just now and my husband has already started the car! SOS helped me solve my Crossfires No crank/No start issue. A mistake was made programming it but they identified it, fixed it, and compensated me more than enough. Chad was in contact with me through the whole process and Michelle always let me know when they received the items and when they were fixed and being shipped. I am very impressed with Chad and his excellent service. He was very friendly, informative, and quick. I would recommend SOS Diagnostics to friends and family. I took my 2008 Harley Davidson Vrod to many Harley Dealers and they kept telling me I needed multiple things and had to do this and that, then told me they couldnt do it. SOS Diagnosticss were able to start and find the pin within minutes and make me two fobs. They were phenomenal.

I come here for all my key needs, they know what they are doing and they make 'chip keys' and sell them CHEAPER than everyone else- My 2003 Ford Escape needed a backup chip key was quoted at $75.00 ....... 5 other locksmiths upcharged the quote for the same key from $145.00 to $250.00 ------ the S.O.S. quote was in Jan 2020 and I went back and was in out in 15minutes and I saved $ very good experience with them.

Worst customer service. Rude personnel on the phone who are also not located at the shop (if you can get a person on the phone). E-mail system of quotes poor at best. I was reminded by owner's poor response to previous review to repost a negative review of the SOS lock. Should be S.O.L (for customer) lock.

I sent in a SAM module that went out. I had no wipers/washer, heated seats, only the heater worked, and one key did not work to lock/unlock the vehicle. I sent an email to SOS and they responded in a timely manner and when asked sent me detailed instructions on how to remove and install the new unit. I am extremely impressed with the customer service I received and 14,264 miles later the unit is still working great. I highly recommend them. =)

My Son's Mercedes was 'brain dead' and considerable efforts failed to restore life into our cherished Chariot. I was faced with over $2,000 to have it fixed by a dealer. As a final hail Mary I was referred to SOS by a reputable Mercedes shop. 'A Locksmith' I thought ?But desperate I gave them a try (and $295) To my delight and surprise, they did what everyone said couldn't be done and the Mercedes was instantly cured!Thanks to SOS, we weren't S--- out of luck after all.

These folks were recommended to repair an issue with my 2005 Jaguar that frankly the Jag dealer could only correct by replacing the engine controller. They took care of the problem. Customer service on the diagnostic side is absolutely Terrible. I have taken 2 vehicles there in the past and both times it has taken over a month for them to even look at the vehicle. And after that month they tell you though work on it when they get around to it

Please read thru to bottom of review...I paid for a key to be made and I only used it twice and now it won't work.i called sos and they refused to fix the problem.there service really sucks and I will never use them again!!After further investigation I found out that there is a false company posing as SOS and it was not in fact SOS that made my key. I resend my previous comment. I have never had a problem with SOS in the past and I will continue to use them in the future. Again, my apologies.

I needed a 2nd key for my 2012 ducati monster I just purchased. My ducati dealer told me these guys were the only ones that could make me a spare locally. SOS diagnostics made me a key in less than 15 minutes, and I was back on the road.

These guys helped me get a flood damaged 2008 Smart Car Passion back on the road. Mercedes Benz couldn't figure out the problem. Once I discovered the transmission module was corroded from moisture infiltration, for $600 including freight they reprogrammed a junkyard transmission module for me. That's all it took to make it start and drive once again. These guys are *THE* guys to use for this sort of thing. Look no further and just do it - you won't regret it.

My 2008 Smart fortwo got the fatal key wont turn and car wont start problem . The car had about 130k on it and this was the first real problem with it. I traced the problem to a bad SAM module. It was easy to isolate the problem because I believe my use of compressed air to clean the floor instead of vacumning is the reason for the failure. Some of the debris from the floor was blown up and onto the top of the SAM module and during a really humid stretch of weather turned into a conductive grit/paste. shorting out the circuit board. I shipped my Instrument cluster,ECM and SAM to SOS along with my remote keys and got them back less than 2 weeks later. I installed them and everything has worked perfectly since. The Mercedes dealer wanted nearly $ 2000.00 for the repair along with a 90 mile tow charge. SOS charged approx 1/3 of that. These people know what they are doing!! You can take that from a Porsche , Ferrari, Corvette tech with 41 years of experience . Thanks Mike K

I had a 2009 KTM 990 Adventure that only had one key and I didn't have the orange key that's used in imprinting new ones. Possible fixes included purchasing a new immobilizer and re-keying the bike with all new lock cylinders. This would have cost many hundreds of dollars, so I rode the bike hoping I'd never lose my only key.I later learned from ADVMoto that SOS Diagnostics had figured out a way to use my existing key to teach an immobilizer they'd purchased to imprint new keys. Slick! I held my breath, mailed my key, and about 10 days later I had two more functional keys.I think the initiative and ingenuity SOS Diagnostics displayed was outstanding. I am a very happy customer.

BEWARE! The owner Chad Edwards is a liar, a crook, and a thief. I was having issues with my Sprinter van, and after researching my options, I sent my vans computer into SOS to be programmed. They has for FOUR parts: Key,Skreem unit, old ecm, replacement ecm. After sending in the parts with the required paperwork, I received a call from a female representative on a Friday stating that my ecm had been programmed and was ready to ship back. She asked for my debit card info, and the price was a higher than the email quoted. She stated it was for shipping costs and was clearly stated in the email with the quote. As I spoke to her, I pulled up the email, and it did not say anything about shipping costs. I explained this to her, and she brushed it off. I paid and inquired if SOS would be interested in purchasing my old ecm. She said I would need to speak with the owner, Chad Edwards. I sent him an email immediately after and he responded they would purchase the ecm if it was 'good' for $185, but would need to test it on Monday. I asked him to wait until Monday to ship my parts back to me, so he could test the ecm, and if they weren't interested, he could send ALL my parts back to me. I received the package the next week, and my old ecm was not in the package. I received an voicemail from a rep stating my ecm was bad, and they would dispose of my property (READ: My property). I sent an email thanking Chad for programming my ecm, but informed him that I wanted my old ecm (my property) returned to me. He proceeded to lie and state that I had not asked for him to wait to send the package back, so I referred to earlier message that was clear. Chad Edwards proceeded to talk down to me in a condescending unprofessional manner, and never apologized. After several of these unprofessional emails, he said he would contact his shipping department for a shipping quote, and I countered that he was paying shipping back to me, as it was his companies error that had led to mess. He agreed to send my property back, and after I emailed to confirm, he stated they were closed on Fridays, yet they called me on a Friday to accept payment, and shipped my partial package on a Friday. More lies and games from Mr. Edwards. Mr. Edwards emailed on January 13th, 2019 stating:'Yes, I agree, I should have called you before shipping your package, but again, our primary concern was getting your good ECM to you ASAP and I was very busy last week. I assumed you would appreciate this. Your package was sealed up and ready to ship a week ago when you added the request to purchase your old ECM. We had to pull your part from the line to the Post Office, remove your ECM, repack it and then send it to the Post Office. The non-working one was of little to no concern. It is after all DEAD. Your demanding we ship it immediately is unreasonable. However, since I did make a mistake by assuming, we will ship your dead ECM back next week on our dime if you insist'I have not received it back. I noticed that SOS sells the ecm that Chad Edwards stole from me for $795 on the website. So they had 795 reason to steal from me, which this is clear. I am willing to provide any supporting documents and email to this case. If SOS responds without a tracking number to Fallston, MD 21047, than they are indeed thieves. Chad Edwards, I hope you find some peace someday, you are obviously a sad angry man, and shouldn't be running a business.

I have used SOS Diagnostics services twice, first to make a key from scratch of my 2014 Ducati Streetfighter (Key, program and Ducati Card), I got my quote and my shipping charges since the beginning and all went fine, on the second time I used their service again, got my quote and had my Ducati 1098S Dashboard en ECU programmed I must add to this that I sent all my parts 3,785 miles away off Camby, OR. I live in Central America and we have a poor Ducati service in all this area, so have this beauty's running require patience and lots of knowledge which I can assure that Chad and his team has! Great experience! I also recommended a friend which used this service as well and it all worked perfectly for him too.

Outstanding. Needed a second Smart ForTwo 451 key. Bought a blank online with the electronics in it. Brought it into SOS and within 30 minutes, I was out the door with a second key for a ridiculously low price. Would highly recommend SOS for anything key / lock related!

Had these guys program a duplicate key for my '03 Saab 9-3. The new key eliminated the 'key battery voltage' message on the driver information display (replacing the old fob's battery did not resolve the issue). Also, my keyless entry works once again. Who could ask for more? Great work SOS!

I never write these reviews but my experience was so positive I want the company to know how much I appreciate their terrific service. I had a problem with our car ignition lock. Called all around and cost to fix was prohibitive until I reached SOS Locksmith. They were impressively efficient, responsible, experienced with the problem, answered all my many questions patiently and politely; even called when they were running a bit late to apologize...and best of all saved us a lot of $$ AND I didn't even need to have the car towed there because they came to us! The job was done at our house and just as promised. I was REALLY impressed with their service. Michaela in the front office was also very very helpful (and very polite) and, every time, got back to me just as promised. Next time we need a locksmith these are my 'go to' people. I recommend them highly. - One very satisfied customer!

These people are amazing after the winter brought my wifes Ducati 620 out and there was a problem with the instrument cluster speedometer and tachometer didn't work called the dealer they said it will probably cost 1500 to 2200 to fix e-mailed SOS they quoted 365.00 so I sent ecu cluster and keys from Canada after they received them I had them back in less than a week everything works perfect the bike even runs better Thanks so very much for the great service you guys are awesome

My daughters 05 Chrysler Crossfire would not start do to a faulty security module. The module can be purchased from several sources BUT must be programmed for the specific vehicle. I talked to several Chrysler dealers who all said I would have to tow the car to them, they would do their own diagnostics and replace the appropriate part or parts. One dealer gave a a rough estimate of $1200 if it was the security module. I contacted SOS, they said send them the security module, the power train module and keys, the would provide a new security module and do all necessary programming for $395. I did just that, got the parts back and installed, the car starts and runs great. Thank you SOS.

Sent in a computer that was totally fried and non repairable by another company I use, along with a used replacement. They were able to bench flash the Used unit with the failed on and vehicle is repaired and running with minimal cost. Was dealt with within the week of arrival. My 2009 smart had only 1 factory key when I purchased it. When that key quit working I knew the costs could be huge. My local dealer needs a working key to program additional keys or the cost could be $1500-$3000 dollars for a new module and new keys. Less than $400 latter Chad had everything working perfectly and now I have extra keys too. At first I was a bit concerned about removing the module, but I printed out the step by step instructions and now its back together and working flawlessly.
