This place is awesome. If you live out here, no need to run into the Gresham or OC THD. Prices are reasonable. And, surprisingly... they have most everything you would need. If you dont see it, just ask. Strong point is their CS! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and they know their limits. If they dont know, they find someone who does. They know exactly where everything is, and wont try to up sell. In other words... they respect their customers, and other peoples money. I normally dont give reviews. It took shopping here for the past 2 years to get this one out of me, but theyve earned it as Ive never had a bad experience.

As many of you know a few months ago my brother Robert Masters and I had a tough decision to make. We had to put our biological Mother into assisted living.During her dementia she threw away her clothes. And destroyed a lot of stuff.So we have been buying her new clothes and things she needs.I know she does not like her current Walker. So yesterday morning I went on Craigslist and found her a better Walker.I went and picked it up from an older lady. Her husband had used it in the house.Anyway I gave the lady $45 for it. Even though I realized it was loose. I think they assembled it themselves. And I did not have the heart to ask for my money back.So I took it home and got out my tools and attempted to fix it. No luck at all tightening or loosening 2 of the nuts and bolts.Funny thing is I looked it up to find a wheel chair and walker mechanic. I found links to Wal-Mart. They are sold brand new starting around $50.00. I had no idea.So I remembered how helpful the Sandy,Or. True Value was helping me assemble and buy parts to put my Flag and Flag Pole together for Flag Waves.So I put the walker back in my vehicle and took it to the Estacada True Value.I was not sure if they could help me.But I walked the Walker back to the Service Department.After making keys for a customer. This gentleman helped me. I explained I could not get the nuts off. And I had stripped the Philips head of the bolts with a screw driver.True Value is the best. So grateful for them. I really am not a handy man.He smiled and had me follow him into the backroom to a work table.He ended up using 2 pairs of vice grips and wrenches to removed the nuts.He determined they where locking nuts. And the wrong size nuts for the screws.Who ever assembled the walker. Must have lost the two nuts and replaced them with the wrong size creating my dilemma.After getting them out and replacing them with new bolts and nuts. I noticed it was still rickety.Without hesitation he said put it back on the table. He examined the wheels and determined they where also put in loosely. He took off the brackets holding the wheels in. And sprayed them with some lock loosener.He was right the big wheel bolts where loose.He assembled it back together and the thing was good as new.He mentioned to me he was also a Mobile Home maintenance man.He went the extra mile for me. Realizing I was doing a good deed for my convalescent Mother.I asked him how much I owed him. He said .75 x 2 for the two bolts. And .40 x 2 for the two nuts.Today I am taking it to my Mother at her assisted living facility. We are going to donate her old walker to the facility.

Went to home depot and bought staples and a dryer vent with the help of an employee. Nothing worked. Went to true value in Estacada and a young looking Steven, with that same winning smile, asked if I needed help. He helped me find a dryer vent that actually worked easily and stayed with me until I was satisfied. Thankyou!

They got most of the basics to get you through the job ....Plumbing ..It takes 3 returns to get it correct they say . They weren't much help. But i got to use what's available to complete the days job i will go back again

Very friendly staff. They know what they have and where it is.They almost always have what I need and I go there often.They're the closest hardware store for me and I always have projects. Price's are competitive and it sure beats an hour drive round trip to a big box store.

This place always meets or exceeds my expectations. Considering we are far away from other options, True Value does a great job of carrying a bit of everything, and enough of anything. Also, great customer service. Whenever we buy paint, this is where we go. Also, if you like gardening, you'll enjoy talking to their garden center manager.

They have most things that you might need. Staff is very helpful. Great hardware selection, lumber, plumbing, electrical...if you need it for your home, chances are they will have it.

We needed a GFCI outlet for our motorhome. They had two types that were rated the same, but one was $22 and the other was $16. These were the type that had the reset button on them. We couldn't figure out the difference and the person working there didn't know what it was either. We ended up buying the cheaper one which seemed to work just fine. The store appears to be well stocked and everyone was very friendly.

It's a great store with lots of stuff the staff is very helpful. But you may be standing in the checkout line a long time and when they open a new line they will always say I can help someone over here instead of I can help the next person in line and I seem to always be the next person in line. Get it rite it's I can help the next person in line.

The staff at True Value are always very attentive, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about their products and the project or repair work you need to do. Granted,they don't have the selection or low prices a Home Depot or Lowe's would have but they are local, convenient and a small business, not a large corporation. The friendly staff make up for the slight increase cost but I probably save that difference in gas money.
