$145. $145!! To unlock a 2006 Chevy Colorado with manual locks, the locksmith was there with me for about a total of two min. The guy on the phone just asked for the address I was at and said he would send someone out with no price quote or estimate, nothing, I had to quickly ask before he was ready to get off the phone with me. He told me it would be $45 plus service fee, he had me on speaker phone and it sounded like he was far away from the phone so he was difficult to hear, I kept thinking he said $25. I thought maybe service fee was gonna be around $20 or so, nope, $100!! The locksmith that showed up was kind, professional, and fast at what he did, so I will give him that, but I definitely feel robbed. He didnt use a bunch of tools, resources, or go through a bunch of material to get my door unlocked, no, two little hand pump bags and a stick. It would be a one star review if it wasnt for the speed and professionalism of the locksmith, but the price was outrageous. Ive never had a locksmith charge over $60 for a service like this. I must add, I was 5 minutes away from their place of business, 1.6 miles away. Would not recommend unless prices become more reasonable or you are at an absolute need.
