I learned the hard way how prevalent 'bait and switch' pricing is in the locksmith industry. A friend recommended A-1 Locksmith and I noticed they've been in business since 1949. They promised to guarantee pricing and I was pleased to see that my final price was actually the price quoted on the phone. They were professional and I am always happy to recommend a company who puts customers first and stands by their word.

My toddler locked the master bedroom and we could not get a hairpin to unlock it. They came within two hours (not an emergency, child not locked in the room). They were able to knock it out within 15minutes. Great service, great professionals! I would use them again if the need arises.

I needed a new key for my motorcycle which I initially got made by a mobile locksmith. It wasn't until they left that I realized the key started the bike but did not open the gas tank. I went here to see if they could help instead and after a short bit of time they figured out what the issue with the new key was and made me a new one, worked like a charm! The person helping me was really friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely come back.

Ive never had an issue coming here for the last few years. Prices are higher than what can be found for comparable items online. Unfortunately I came here before their posted 11 pm closing hours only to find out that this is only for their mobile service hours. FYI their weekday closing hour is 6 pm and 4 pm on Saturday.

I spoke with 6 locksmith's that couldn't duplicate a key to a blank that I already had (Lexus Blank where other locksmiths wouldn't let me bring my own... theirs had the transponder but didn't have the buttons on them). A-1 in Plano was able to do this in 3 minutes while I waited for about half the cost that others were wanting to charge me to just cut the key. I keep trying to use other locksmiths that are closer but I keep coming back to this A-1 location because it's worth the drive. There should be a way to give more than 5 stars!

DO NOT GO TO THE AUTO DEALER for keys. $165 at Honda, $60 here.... Same key....They are very fast, courteous, and affordable.

This the place to go for getting your key fob and getting it programmed. Donnie is the nicest and most knowledgeable guy I have ever met. He knows his key fobs and hes a key cutting master. I have a degree in Hospitality management and work for Hilton corporate. So I know hospitality when I see it and this store takes hospitality to a new level. Ill definitely be back here for all my key fob needs.

Website states that they are open until 11. However, they are not. I drove all the way from Anna Texas to the location in Plano and was shocked that the store was closed. I called and was told that this is a problem that google is responsible for! I was like, seriously? I would not recommend them mainly because of this plus the lady that I spoke with on 7.6.19 told me that that I needed to do what I had to when I told her I was going to write this review! Shame on you management. You are not A1, you are F1.

We had to change/rekey three of our locks and we scheduled an appointment for Saturday. Harley came over and in no time fixed all the new locks and rekeyed one of them in no time. The locks are sturdy and they show that a professional person who really cared about my homes safety has worked on it. I really appreciate Harley taking the time to inform me about the new locks and getting me the best service and products for my house door locks. I highly recommend the A1 team to anyone who needs a locksmith service.

I walked in for a new car key. It was a pleasant and friendly experience. Google need to update with features - Google search say they are open from 6 am till 11pm. BUT the store is open ONLY between 9am and 6pm. Their mobile unit is available from 6am till 11pm. Their website clearly mentions that.Unfortunately most of us check their timing in google search and may end up driving to see closed door. Learnt it hard way making unnecessary trips.Lost 1 star just for this misleading info. Otherwise I will go there for all my future needs. Good luck and be prepared. Don't get locked out. Peace.

I had a WWII Army foot locker that was my dad's that the key had been lost since he died in 1986. They not only had a key, in stock, that fit it but were so interested that 3 of their employees came out to my vehicle to watch it being opened. I honestly think they were as happy as me!

These guys are the BEST!! My nephew has an older model Toyota Tundra that he was locked out of and needed a new key for also- they came out Thursday night and were not able to make a key- after working so hard to fix it - They had to reschedule for someone else to do it the next day- they arrived right at 8 am and got it taken care of ! They only charged me for the completed work - not the work that was done the night before! These guys are a rare thing in todays world - I will recommend A1 Locksmith to all my friends and family !! BEST SERVICE EVER!!!

We needed two locks installed to restrict access to our computer area quickly. We called at about 5pm one day in early November 2017 and they were here the next morning. Locksmith did a great job, he was neat and the work was perfect. Also showed how we could have a remote lock on the front door for added security and limit keys floating around. Highly recommend.

Worst service .. the guy who was at store on 08/31 didnt test the duplicate key and said key is ready to use .. when I asked him key not working , he made me to wait around 10 mins and again tried to fix it but key didnt work as it should .. he blames key manufacturer but he dont have sense to test the key after he cut , programmed it .. waste of money

I didn't compare prices, but it was convenient, easy to find, and thoroughly stocked so they had just what I needed and were quick. When the attendant found that my car was there, he went and made sure the key worked before checking us out.Good selection of safes and door entry locks as well.

This Place is a Trash and no Customer Service at all, I think he(Martin) is a racist dog. I called them before going to their store in Carollton, When i reached i came to know that his programming machine was down and when i asked him(Martin) why didnt you say that on the call he(Martin) did not have an answer and said 'he(Martin) forgot his machine was down'. I was frustrated and asked him do you have any other branches then he directed me towards Plano location.I called the Plano Location and asked them if they are open they said yes and said the Price would be $125, contradicting the price quoted earlier of $50 for Programming and cutting the key using the machine. I mentioned that i has spoken earlier on the call at the carollton location and he quoted a price of $50, I was placed on a brief hold and they spoke among them selves now Martin said them that he did not quote a price which was false.Later they said on the call that Martin said he did not quote a price and they again placed me on hold, i was able to speak to a manager and this guy said that we usually charge $125 but i will do $100. I was so angry and later said - ' Thanks for wasting my time' to this they did not even Apologize for this rude behavior.I am not visiting this store any time in future.
